There's a funny story attached to this makeup. I actually heard about it from the straight makeup artist on the film. The actual filmmakers had forgotten that there was a prosthetic makeup in their movie. There was only two weeks to do it, (this is the magic time for disorganized filmmakers)! But I felt like doing an old age makeup and I did it. It turned out that he's in Makeup for almost half the movie, and the Eternity man that everyone knows in Oz is the old version! It was a real stretch, but we got the makeup done, The filmakers didn't want to spring for us to actually look after the makeup on set, so the straight guys filled in. After the first three and a half hour makeup application, it was time to put the costume on, and the costume team did what they do. I stayed to see the full effect. Suddenly there was a commotion, and it seemed there was a problem! The hat that they had spent a month perfecting, (It was a grey fedora) didn't fit! Questions were asked, and the finger was pointed at US to fix the problem. " "Can you make his head smaller"? They said :The makeup has ruined the hat!" I pointed out he was just wearing a forehead and a baldcap, and it would be better to change the hat at this late date. Pretty funny huh, TWO WEEKS to do an old age makeup on the star of the movie, and a MONTH to do his Ill fitting hat! I didn't change his makeup, so please spare a thought for the poor actor in the small hat. D

Hey, Im up for an award.
Its a Qantas film and television award for the work I did over in New Zealand for the wonderful Director Jonathan King on 'Black Sheep'.

I did the movie with my pals at Weta, and a small Crew from Australia and the UK.

It was a wonderful experience and I loved doing it, even though it was tough, with not much time and a lot of very cold night shoots. Im really proud of the work we did, and I have a bunch of pictures in my Pics section.

Fingers Crossed!

Wow, not long to go now. The Wolfman is nearly finished. Theres still so much to do. Many things, difficult things still to shoot. One last big push. Ive laughed more than on any other picture, Benicio, and Hopkins have cracked me up, and Rick has become my big brother. This has also been harder than any other movie, but I think its worth it. Right now im feeling sick with my second chest infection of the year and im so tired sleep just doesn't hit the sides, but im so excited to see how this comes out.
Next up, get fit again and work on something that is equally worth it but with less hiccups!

Well, heres the picture of The Wolfman that appeared on the Entertainment Weekly site. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20185191,00.html

As you probably know, Im over in England filming the re-make with my Pal Rick Baker, which is an honor and a privilege, and also the most fun I’ve ever had on a movie. We are both such fans of the original, and we want to make this soooo good.

There’s also a nice interview with Rick, and some more stuff here: http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/topic/15601/t/The-Wolf-Man-remake-first-photos.html?page=1

I hope you like it. We finally filmed it last night. It was a full moon!

an omen, dya think??
You can also see the pics in my Pics section.

Hello Kiddies,

I've created another new folder in my pics section.
It's a makeup test I did a while back to see if it would be possible to resurrect Vincent Price's Dr Phibes, for a Movie project I am hoping to one day get off the ground.

It's a re-boot of the Dr Phibes franchise and a fantastic script has already been completed. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding out about the rights, which I believe reside with MGM.

Perhaps if anyone reading this knows how I can find out more, they could direct me to the right person at the Studio.

I have many more pictures of this makeup test, which I will put up when I can.

Id love to know your thoughts and comments on this.

Hello Kiddies, Its your creature guide here, Heh heh heh...

Here it is!
I've added the pictures of the NAB Yeti commercial we just finished, into my pics area.

This Job was a lot of fun to do, even though we had almost no time to do it. The whole thing took just Sixteen days to make.
The Payoff for all the loooong hours, was our time in New Zealand filming it with our resident Creature actor Duncan Young and Fabrication genius Lou Elsey.
It was a wonderful time.

I hope you like the pics and appreciate how much work went into it for such a few frames of film.

I'll put in more of the 'making of' pics when I find them all and guide you through the process of building it.

You can view the Commercial online at: http://www.nab.com.au/
Under the title, "See our new campaign".

Good luck
