THE WOUNDED KNEES: A WARM-UP FOR ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES
PLUS TAPING:  AN INSTALLATION BY SOUTH STUDIOS

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2009 - 8pm. Tickets from Wav €10
 
This December, My Bloody Valentine will become the first Irish band to
curate the prestigious All Tomorrow's Parties festival 'A Nightmare Before
Christmas'. The Wounded Knees have been selected to perform at the festival.
Seeing as there is a considerable crew of Paddies ATP bound,
the Wounded Knees, will perform an exclusive midweek warm-up show upstairs in Whelan's.
This is to whet appetites for what will surely
be one of the festivals of the decade!

The creatives at South Studios will present the installation, "TAPING". It is
as a part of this that The Wounded Knees will perform; from the floor as opposed to the stage!
This, Ladies and Gentlemen is a happening!

01. My Bloody Valentine: 5 nights at the Roundhouse London, Electric Pic-nic, Ireland. ATP New York and 2 nights at Roseland Ballroom, NYC.

02. The Wounded Knees opening for MBV at Roseland Ballroom, NYC.

03. Patti Smith coming into our dressing room to tell us "…it was her kind of music". Listening to Patti talk about our music; she cut right to the heart of it.

04. ATP New York. Dino in vintage form

05. As always, J Mascis playing with us.

06. BP Fallon's DJ set at MBV's New York after show. (he killed it)

07. Hangin with Mecury Rev for a few dates in Ireland.

08. Speaking to Kurt from the Lilys, about "Dunes". An Everest of a tune.

09. Mickey Pinaud joining the ranks of TWK for the shows we did.

10. The whole crew at the Compound in Troy, NY. For making even the rehearsals magical.

11. Smoothies & Wraps performance of "Abuse of Power", at the Daily Grind Cafe, Troy, NY.

The 5 track EP was produced by the Wounded Knees and Mixed by Kevin Shields. The basic tracks were recorded live at 51 3rd St., Troy, NY. Recorded by Jason Martin with visuals for the duration of the 5 day session by Richard Pell. (see photo reel)

With the announcement of the shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow...We are exploding with the urge to say something. We believe the time is right for music to shift on it's axis. This is the event to do just that. These shows will be monumental, historic landmarks in the landscape of modern music. After June 20th 2008, music will have changed. This will be the power of my bloody valentine, live in the 21st century.

 For those of you lucky enough to have tickets for the these shows, brace yourself for a visit to the unexplored outer reaches of sonic adventure!

If you think this is slight exaggeration, come speak to the faces emerging from the venues, The Roundhouse June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 Manchester Apollo June 28, 29 and Glasgow Barrowlands July 2,3. ....mark these words.
