Kevin James and Adam Sandler star in Universal Pictures' I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry

I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry

In this latest Adam Sandler comedy, Sandler's Character Chuck helps his best friend Kevin James' Character Larry in an insurance claim by marring him. The film is full of hilarious situations where straight men try to prove that their gay and Sandler's character tries not to fall for their gorgeous attorney, played by Jessica Biel.

This partnership goes on to reveal how gay people have feelings and each individual deserves rights.  It also shows how friendship can truly be the Tie That Binds.

From Director Dennis Dugan (Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, and The Benchwarmers,) He brings you this latest Adam Sandler installment.  Where he does a great job of making sure situation after situation is funny and he also takes advantage of each character strong points. The writers did an excellent job on the comedic and story aspect.

This film is enjoyable.   (Short comings = not original, story lacks depth, love story was weak and probably five more things that don't really matter.)

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan star in New Line Cinema's Rush Hour 3

First off I'd like to say, I think I know why a lot of the critics didn't like this film.  The story lacked depth, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan had a couple over top cheese moments, and the villain's plans were very transparent through out the film.  But someone should inform the critics I go to movies for entertainment. And Rush Hour 3 (which is much better than Rush Hour 2) was just that entertaining, Tucker and Chan had great chemistry on screen, they were very funny and the action scenes were pretty cool.

Director Brett Ratner (who also directed the first two installments of the series, Red Dragon, and X-Men 3) Seem to find his stride in this 3rd installment of the Rush Hour franchise. The scenes and the characterizations were executed well. The film also did not have extra unneeded scenes of fluff comedy. The only other small fault, I'd like to address is the film ended abruptly for a third installment of a franchise that could be at its end.

Rush Hour 3     (8.5)

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart star in Warner Bros. Pictures' No Reservations

The film No Reservations staring Catherine Zeta-Jones (Academy award winner for Chicago) as a great chef who adopted her 8 to 11 year old niece who has lost her parents. From the preview, I didn't have high hopes for the film but maybe a diamond in the rough or just a pleasant surprised amongst the 2007 summer titans. Though this film lacked the sufficient plot to deliver a strong romantic comedy. The script, direction and characterization tries to make up for it short-comings. The story(remake), which is made up of heart warming subplots that are solved as the movie progresses is a decent one. Its only deficiency is lack of an overall strong storyline.

Director Scott Hicks (Hearts of Atlantis and shine) did what he does best, made his characters easy to relate to and very lovable.  I really liked each of the characters in the film. Now if they could just find the script that has the plot in it, everyone can be happy.

Scale from 1 to 10.

Matt Damon stars in Universal Pictures' The Bourne Ultimatum

Well, I guess if you are going to start a movie blog. The Bourne Ultimatum is not a bad way to start.  This movie is definitely better than the second and some may think even better than the first.  It has non-stop action and suspense to keep you tied to your chair until very last second of this testosterone driven juggernaut of a film.

The director (Paul Greengrass), who also directed the second of the Bourne Trilogy with producer (Doug Liman) the director of the first Bourne film and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, did a fantastic job of keeping the story from being cluttered with secondary story lines and unimportant characters and entirely to many special effects. Like the last two pirate's movies but let's not point fingers.

The movie does have a couple of short comings, the shaking camera of Blair Witch seem to be in play more than needed and the love story could have been played up a little more. It also lacked the depth of characterization of the first film.  These are just the small things keeping this movie from being perfect. Also to get the full effect of this film, I suggest definitely enjoying this great roller coaster in the theatre if you can.
