Alright, alright....... ...... so the Two Ton Sloth LP got pushed back again and now it is officially being released January 26th of next year (bummer, we know).... but as an apology we've decided to drop our free promotional mini-LP "Two Ton Sloth Loves Broadcast" due out at the time of the LPs release" early. Thats right, an entire album of PZ re-working Warp Records' Broadcast and Brad Hamers on top of the whole thing! It's magic, and did I mention it is FREE. Download today at http://tokenrecluse.com and enjoy. regards brad

TOKEN RECLUSE RECORDINGS UPDATE 2/21/07 (http://tokenrecluse.com) ---------------------------------------
1. Two Ton Sloth Remix Contest 2. Two Ton Sloth School Play 7" now available! 3. "Aphids on the Lettuce: Beck Remixed & Mashed-Up by PZ" 4. MAJOR SITE UPDATE (free downloads)!! 5. Pre-order Brad Hamers's Ligature (limited to 200) 6. Soon to be released......
1. TWO TON SLOTH REMIX CONTEST! Brad & PZ's first Two Ton Sloth album will be out April 7th & soon after its release will be a collection of out-takes, unreleased shit and remixes.....here is your chance to get in on it. We are holding an open remix contest on two Two Ton Sloth tracks....the best remix of each track wins a spot on the album. The rules are simple: listen to the original tracks in the audio section, choose a track to remix, download the zip file, use the supplied sounds....or don't, send us an mp3 (192kbps or higher) of your remix by July 8th (PZ's birthday) and we'll announce the selected two remixes shortly there after. All submissions regardless of being selected will be hosted and available for download from the site. So fire up your electric Saz, sniff some coffee rinds and GET CREATIN!
2. TWO TON SLOTH 7" NOW AVAILABLE! Speaking of the Sloth..... we have a new 7" vinyl release featuring the international smash hit pop phenomena groove bananza "School Play from a Cloud's Left Lung" from the upcoming Sloth full length. Alright phenomena is a slight exageration, but indeed it came out well. Its got everything......strings, sloths, the drummer from iron butterfly, school kids playing dodgeball in the background.....it should be your shit. The b-side features a vinyl only exclusive collabo from the Sloth fellows and out very own Unconventional Science. A track of equally magnamonious preportions (and mis-spellings..i think). Don't sleep. Its in the shop and comes hand numbered and well designed if I do say so myself.
3. "APHIDS ON THE LETTUCE: BECK REMIXED & MASHED UP BY PZ" 7" & CD Its about time, PZ's Beck project is close to completion and in celebration we put out a little limited edition 7" featuring two of the albums best tracks (ships March 15th). The a-side is a delightful "Cellphone's Dead" take on BDP/KRS-1's old school classic, "You must Learn." Dig that way gone cut and paste sound, YOW! The b-side.........I need say nothing more then the following...... Kool Keith & Beck on ONE track, together. Forever. Previews, a free mp3 of the a-side and a 7" pre-order available now in the store. Aiiiight!?!
4. MAJOR SITE UPDATE!!!!!!! Check the site, we've got lots of new mp3s, a message board that finally works, and a really swell new collage from PZ on the main page. Within the next month or so we will be adding video including exclusive spoken word jams from Brad Hamers, a strange and lovely video for PZ's take on "You Must Learn," and some unreleased segments from PZ's Roman holiday docu-drama "Redbull and Ciggarettes." Stay up and be sure to let us know if anything is fucked up on the site (aside from the mis-use of html layers...please please).
5. BRAD HAMERS SPOKEN WORD ALBUM DROPS Very exciting indeed, this is the first in a series of full length spoken word collections from Brad Hamers, and it is almost out (end of the this week 3/17). This limited edition (200) collection consists of seventeen of Brad's finest recorded spoken jams written over a span of four or five years. Just about each piece ranges in recording situation and fidelity........ from studio, to bedroom, to cemetary..... from clean, to elegantly shitty, to unelegantly shitty. Its Brad in his prime, its a brain slowly eating itself, its a glass saxaphone smoking itself Mayan, its.......... something that should not fall upon deaf ears.....for your own sake. Really....go on......what are you waiting for? Pre order that shit. CMON! WE'RE FUCKING STARVING! *cough* *cough* excuse me. No really.
6. RELEASE DATES:
