yeah...it got kinda scary there towards the end...but all in all....most amazing night ever ;)

here i am six in the morning in minooka and i can't sleep. maybe it's because of the excitement that came along with reliving my shoegaze/britpop youth all day long. but its probably because of the spaghetti binge i forced upon myself a few hours ago. o well. i listened to unicorn-bel canto and was thrown back to a different time and place in my life entirely. i don't think i spelled that right. anyway, i purchased that album freshman year, at columbia, at evil clown. i used to tuck away into this tiny nook near the elevators on the liberal arts floor and make a nest for myself out of my big black czechoslovakian coat. In between 2D design in the morning and Russian history, i had three hours. i listened to that album so so so many times. unicorn was my favorite song because it gave me this warm shivery shimmery buzz buzzy feeling all over my arms and spine and lips. BEST FEELING EVER. anyway when i listened to it today i got that same feeling and i felt myself shedding all the complete & utter bullshit i've experienced from that time in my life to the present. what a fucking waste. now i know it's possible to disregard those years entirely and remove them from my existence. all from listening to a single shoegazey/new-agey song....a song titled unicorn!?!

my stereo is broken; it's been broken for the past couple months.

my ex has my super bitchin DJ headphones, he's had them for a year.
but today is a new day, and I can't believe I didn't realize it sooner.

I just realized that I can play cds on my dvd player, yeah with AMAZING surround sound, and yeah I just figured this out TODAY. HAHAHA what's wrong with me? I studied all this techy crap at school and it took me this long to just shove a disc in a machine and let the magic happen?!?!

I can't believe I've been contemplating getting an iPod...Whoa, I think better slow down;)

o well, I haven't heard IRIS in surround sound since my show (We All Feel Better In The
Dark, R.I.P.), and lemme tellya it feels sooooooo gooooooood!
