We are looking for a committed, reliable, skilled, easy going and versatile bassist. Must be able to play with both fingers and pick (fingers generally preferred), background vocal abilities a big plus. We want someone who doesn't take him/her/self too seriously, but takes their rocking seriously. A well rounded knowledge of rock history, including garage rock and punk required. We want someone who can create walking basslines without overplaying.

The ideal debut record is one that fully captures a band's identity and talent and makes a real impact on the current music scene. The Emerald Lizards' Electric Earthquake is one of those debuts. The album shakes the speakers with seismic waves of primal rock, perfectly showcasing both the diversity and the intensity of the group. The tribal-inspired instrumental opener kicks off a 10-track party that injects shots of Arctic Monkey frenzied rock, White Stripes blues-tinged rock, and The Vines garage rock.

Hello fans, friends, and family,

2006 was a great year for The Emerald Lizards. We traveled around the midwest, played some high-profile gigs, won a couple of contests, recorded our first CD! We want to thank all of you who supported us in 2006, and we hope to have your support again in 2007.

I'm sure your wondering what is coming up for us in 20007. We plan to release our CD "Electric Earthquake" within the next few months. You will be the first to know when this happens. The CD includes 10 tracks of pure rock and roll. We have also written some new material, and will continue doing so. We are excited to play the new stuff for you live!

We have some great gigs currently booked in Chicago, as well as some more in the works. Keep an eye on our mySpace page and our web site for upcoming dates.

For our out of town friends - we are working on setting up some gigs in your towns as well. If you have any leads on venues to play, people to contact, bands to play with etc. let us know!
