I am a journal writer so you would think that I would really be into blogging, but it's a new thing for me.

So many things have happened to me this year, it'd be impossible to cover them all, but I want to try and recap the big stuff.

I've been working for RiPPYFiSH records since June 2005. It has to be the best job on the planet. My only complaint about it is that I live in constant fear of losing it. . .lol

As a label, we have created a website, rippyfest.com that is dedicated to trying to help independent musicians make a living. We are still trying to figure it out, but check it out. If you like it, register. It's free, and it is full of great music. Visit my profile, rippyfest.com/lisa

One of the bands on our label, The Mad Dukes are kicking ass and taking names. They just won the Best New A/C Group at the New Music Awards in Hollywood, CA.

My baby, however, is the group I manage, Causeway. These five boys are so talented that I've already put a down payment on the mansion I am going to buy when they get big and famous. (Okay, I might be exagerrating a little).

It has been a great year, and I hope that this is just the beginning. There are a lot of great bands I have met that I am hoping to help make a career out of this shit. . .watch out for a band called AJ out of Ogden, UT. They know where it's out.

The first week at the new job rocked! What is most surprising is how little drama I had to put up with!!!! No more trips on the psycho roller coaster with my former employer! God bless all my family and friends for going on the journey with me.

My fear has subsided and has become replaced by anticipation. Instead of continuing my search for a job, I now have three golden opportunities laying on the table. I only have to decide which to pick. None of the three positions were things I applied for. In one a case the competition has called and wants me to take over this area. The second was a recruiter who saw my resume on Monster and wants me to work for her. The third is the most mysterious and the most exciting. A contact of mine has a record label he wants me to manage!!! Don't know the complete details of all, but I am feeling very excited about what will happen now.
