Hi HTM Fans:

It's homecoming again, time to reflect on our love of Auburn. Sure, it's not been the best season ever, but we can still rally for a great finish. And by great finish I think you all know what I mean.

As we gear up for a final episodes of the season, Wings FM informed us that they will be happy to air a full HTM show on their station for the Iron Bowl Weekend! We have a couple special guests in the works and hope to have a good time with the show, it's been awhile.

A few weeks ago the HTM attended Thom Gossom's "Walk-On" book signing in Westwood (near the UCLA campus) it was like our own little homecoming in California. What a great moment it was to walk into a room in Los Angeles full of Auburn fans. We are a special bunch. Thom is a fantastic guy, with a troubling, but uplifiting story of his journey to integration at Auburn. Thom became the first black athlete to graduate from the University. He was a member of our 1972 team that were coined "The Amazins," and Shug's favorite team. His story IS amazing. As we stood in line to have our copies signed by Thom, we thought of what a great thing to offer to our fans! So next week we'll open a contest and give away an autographed copy of his book and announce the winner on our Iron Bowl show. For more info on his book please check out WALK-ON. Michael O'Neill was also in attendance. Michael is an incredibly gracious character actor (yes you'd know him if you saw him) and AU grad. He's a friend of Thom's and we enjoyed talking about how much we love our team. He was just on "The Mentalist," but check out his bio for a breakdown on his career MICHAEL.

Also at the signing we met Tim Arnold a writer/producer here in LaLa Land making a movie about that 1972 Football Team. Aptly titled "The Amazins" a revolutionary football movie based on the true story of the 1972 Auburn Tigers. You can find more info at AMAZINS.
