Hey everybody!  Just a reminder that we are kicking off our summer gig schedule with what should turn out to be an interesting sunday evening, June 29th at Swifty's (Outback) in Auburn.  We'll be out on the back deck rocking out from 6-9pm, provided the weather holds out.  We're hoping it does, but if not, the show must go on, inside, of course.  So either way, man, you can't lose.  And Swifty's is an absolute hoot.  One of a kind and shall we say, All-Auburn.

Next we'll be at the Ukranian National Club in Auburn, July 11th.  This is probably going to be our new favorite place to play now that Spirits is gone.  Every band needs a home and the folks at the UNC are so darn cool, the drinks are cheap and the gigs start at 8:30 (til 12:30, yee-haw!  We like to get our Rawk on early.)  This is definitely going to be a fun-ass gig so don't miss.

On July 25th we'll be at
Burritts Cafe in Weedsport, 7-9 pm.  This'll be a mellower, kinda acoustic gig for the Teenager.  We like to do it like that sometimes.  Burritts is a great coffee shop, cafe-type place that we are really looking forward to filling with our original rock and roll.  Come on out and have some tea or something.  There's food there, too.  You gotta eat sometime, you know.

Then , July 31st we'll be playing downtown at the State Street Pavillion across from the dearly departed Spirits.  6 pm.  Be there.

Then for the families, August 12th at Hoopes Park.  Sure to be some hot fun in the summatime.  Come hang.

And there'll be more.  We'll keep you posted.

***Special shout out to Jesse R. for the totally righteous gig poster she painted for our Swifty's gig.  It is sooo frikkin cool.  Soon to be mass reproduced for all eternity.  Thanks, J!

Come to Burritts Cafe in Weedsport this Sunday, April 13 at 1 o' clock in the pm to dig a short, stripped-down acoustic rock and roll set.  We go well with coffee.

4.25.08     Bug Jar, Rochester
- "Your Bar on Earth"
http://www.myspace.com/bugjar Come check us out at CNY's coolest rock club and dive bar.  We're looking for people who want to catch a ride over with us to drink their faces off at the Bug Jar Bar while we rock out Happy Hour style 6-?.  Give us a holler.

4.26.08     Tommy's, Newark (NY) - We've never played this joint, or even been there, but from what we hear, it's a goood time.  Playing with Static Cling.  Roll right thru the weekend.  Friday at the Bug Jar, Saturday, Tommy's, Sunday - rehab!

6.29.08     Swifty's, Auburn - Yeah!  Outdoor Sunday night Rock and Roll.  How about some cheap, ice-cold American beer to cool off that summer stank out on the back deck at Swifty's.

7.05.08     Private Party - All we can say is: if you're a member, you'll be there.

7.11.08     Ukrainian National Club - UNC!  Man, this place is so cool.  We can hardly wait.  Starts early, 8:30 pm.

8.12.08     Hoopes Park - Bring a blanket and a bottle of wine.

more to come...

End of an Era

Teenager will play one of the final gigs at Spirits on February 15, 2008. Spirits was the place where it all started for Teenager. Back in 1998, the original members - Taylor, Donny, Teddy, Lee de las Casas and Greg Dopko, hosted an open mic night for the month of July.

Live music at Spirits in the 1990s brought us Steve McAvoy, John Reilly, Ladybug, Dick Howard, Static Cling, Travelin' Jones, Willie Doyle, North Side Blues Band, Kevin Dorsey, Stubby Duk, Green Thoughts, Nam the Tham, John Beer, Frank Agati, Chinese Shoehorn, Whirly Ball, The Dean Martins, Jenny Chamberlain, Hoopes Park Pond Explosion, the Great Divide, Kevin Cool and all of the other Auburn musicians too countless to mention.

We Teenager dedicates this last performance to all the people that made live music so great and made us all feel lucky to be in Auburn at that time. So Teenager hopes both old and new fans will come together to reflect and celebrate and take note of the end of an era.
