Hey guys, I guess we outdrank ourselves so hard, that it took us several months to get the ball rolling again. Once again we wanna thank everyone who participated in the summer tour - it was extraordinary by all means. We have now gone back to writing in full force for the new album, loosely due for the spring of 2010. We cannot say at this time if it will be a full length or an EP, just depends on how much material we can squeeze out without losing ideas and spark. Last thing anyone wants is filler tracks! As you guys may have heard, we are still looking for a full time replacement for our drummer position. Let us know if you are able to or know anyone that is willing to thrash the fuck out with us. We should be scheduling some shows soon around the Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco areas, so keep your eyes open, and we'll see you crazy fuckers soon! Cheers, Nick

Tour Update #1 Sincere apologies for the long overdue tour update, but it is just about getting to the point of the previous weeks blurring together in a whirlpool of countless shows, awesome fans, and a ton of insanity. One thing we gotta say is that we were totally not expecting all you awesome people for coming out to support Rattlehead and Devastator, being completely DIY and on a US tour for the first time. From the Rear view mirror souveniers, to gallons of Isotope beers in Partyquerque, New Mexico, to the zombie swamps of New Orleans, flesh eating gnats of Florida, ghetto ass hotel rooms, Wendy’s dollar menu, and the countless bizarre episodes in Brooklyn with the rooftop 40’s gang, we can easily arrange chapters of this adventure into a multiple series novel. As with all DIY tours, we’ve obviously run into insane troubles down the road, ranging from hospitalizations, arrests, burglaries, and of course the everyday Philly drive-by’s. We hope everyone is following up on this escapade via tons of photos that we are constantly trying to post up on the myspace. We hope you guys enjoy them, and definitely do tag them if you see yourself in a shot or two. We’ve just about reached the halfway point in the tour, and at this point, not much else can go wrong, which is a calming point of sorts, but we’re holding our breath. Once again, thanks to all the fans, promoters, friends, and party animals for helping us make it this far. Oh, and by the way, fuck toll booths. Stay tuned for the next update, till then! Cheers, Rattlehead

DEVASTATOR, RATTLEHEAD To Embark On Summer US Tour
Posted on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 14:35:47 EST
Two of California’s most promising young metal acts, thrashers RATTLEHEAD (from LA) and DEVASTATOR (from Sacramento), will be teaming up to tour the country this summer bringing their own brand of metallic mayhem to over 40 cities. The tour, appropriately called Slaughtering The Masses, will be both bands’ first cross-country trek, although each has done successful west coast and regional touring.
Southern California’s Rattlehead have long been a hard-working cornerstone of the LA metal scene. The group have a committed DIY attitude, as witnessed by previous regional touring and the release last year of their own disc, Step Inside For The Slaughter, which they are still promoting.
Northern California’s Devastator have been having a great year. With the release of the group’s latest demo/EP, Burn The Beast, the group have received major accolades from metal press, radio and fans who recognize the band’s commitment to true metal and their continued progression as players and songwriters. The trio will embark on the tour in support of the EP and plan to finalize a label partner this fall upon completion of the dates so they can begin recording their debut before year’s end.
Visit each bands’ MySpace profile to purchase copies of the CDs and to get more information about them and the tour: Rattlehead, Devastator.

..tr>RattleheaD - Step Inside for the Slaughter | | | | November 2008 Released: 2008, Self-released Rating: 3.0/5 Reviewer: Luxi Lahtinen
"Some people may want to know, what drives these guys to keep making some of the most gruesome speed metal anyone has ever heard, others just want to know what we had for breakfast...".
RattleheaD hails from the most rotten gutters of Hollywood, California (as they have expressed it themselves on their own website), and has been around since the summer of 2003; they have done a couple of demos and self-released their 10-track debut album, titled RESPONSIBLE MOSHING...? in 2004. The band..s follow-up album, STEP INSIDE FOR THE SLAUGHTER, kept the fans of the band waiting for this second release for 4 long years, but the wait is over now.
Having not heard the band..s debut, I only know that I may well check it out afterwards because at least RattleheaD..s 2nd speed metal assault provides an easy and enjoyable listening experience - in fact, all the 9 songs on it. The music sounds kind of a secure and safe mix of both speed and heavy metal that even crosses the thrash border slightly here and there - sounding very ..80s-tinged, which is always a definite plus in my books of respect and admiration. When listening to the songs off of STEP INSIDE..., one could say that the guys have clearly understood what it means to have a good vibe ruling throughout all the songs in order to have a solid-made package that truly stands out on its own merits. There..s a great amount of good musicianship captured inside RattleheaD, and this foursome don..t hesitate to bring it out in terms of good songwriting skills - and overall making songs that pretty much serve speed and heavy metal fans.. tastes. Actually my two tiny complaints go to the guitar sound, which is rather thin and dry-sounding - as well as a drum sound that has been left way too much in the background in the final mix. Maybe the band..s vocalist Nick could also try a few different ways to express himself as a singer as his vocalism tends to sound perhaps a tad monotonous in the long run. He doesn..t sound bad by any means, but I suppose he can do even better. So, yeah, that was third...
Nonetheless, RattleheaD deserves to be checked out. They are pretty good at what they do, so by all means go and check their music out. | ..table>
