We are rolling out a brand new campaign! If you have a camera phone and can send a text or email, you my friend are able to “take this bull by the horns”. Introducing: Gotcha. Whenever you are out walking the dog or buying groceries or __ (you fill in the blank), keep your eyes peeled! If you see someone with a LIFE band, snap a photo of them and send it to us at gotcha@bound4life.com.

Then through the power of modern technology and Craig Kuhns (our tech/programming guru) your pic will instantly appear on our site for all to see. That means you can send a photo, then run home and see your  handiwork on the Bound4LIFE website lickitysplit. Think about it–you have the power to make yourself and your city known around the world just by being a quickdraw with your camera phone.

Couldn’t be more simple, right? Let’s review:

1) Be on the lookout for people wearing Life Bands. When you spot one, get a snapshot of them and their life band with your handy camera phone.

2) Send the photo to us at GOTCHA@BOUND4LIFE.COM. In the subject line, give us as much info as you would in a Google Maps search. City and State are the minimum.

3) Your photo will “automagically” post on the map based on all the geographic info you give us.

BTW
- Pray the Band Prayer with them if you get the chance!

This whole global warming thing is getting deadly. Seriously, when is genocide ok? When it helps to save the planet, of course!

The following is from the Times Online:

“COUPLES who have more than two children are being “irresponsible” by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, the government’s green adviser has warned.

Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.

A report by the commission, to be published next month, will say that governments must reduce population growth through better family planning… even if it means shifting money from curing illness to increasing contraception and abortion.

Irresponsible?! Are you telling me that killing our children is the shining epitome of social responsibility? Forget a cure for cancer, AIDS, and diabetes; we don't need money for that. Yeah, that's responsible.

Ask Russia, Japan, and China how population control has helped them. Mr. Porritt, get a grip! Killing our children will not save our planet… come up with a better plan.

For all of you Twitter folk out there I saw an astonishing (like when John saw the Harlot on the Beast in the book Revelation; astonishing) twitter post the other day. Apparently, a conversation had been going back and forth about keeping abortion legal and the need to expand the basic civil rights of all women. Ok, now here is the zinger, the basic civil right that was “worth fighting for” is the right for a child/minor to have an abortion without parental consent or notification.

This is ridiculous! I feel the need to once again state that a child CANNOT even be given Tylenol by a nurse at school without parental consent. What is so very wrong with having parents involved in the life of their child anyway? Stats show that once parental consent comes in to play the abortion rate goes down.

Parents are not to be outlawed and family is not a curse. Family is at the heart of our nation and the chord that binds civilized society together. Do we really want to outlaw parents? Is this really a good idea? NO. C’mon. Seriously, do we even need to go over this? Parental notification and consent for a minor to have an abortion is just plain wisdom. Enough said.

Today I stumbled upon an interesting article entitled “Where the Anti-Choice Movement is Headed?” from a website called www.prochoiceactionnetwork.org. The author, Joyce Arthur, bashes pro-life individuals, calling them “religious fundamentalists” and postulates that, “one of the major characteristics of a religious fundamentalist is certitude, which involves depending on and obeying an external authority.” She of course means God and the Bible. She suggests that being “anti-choice” is like being a racist or being anti-Semitic and as such will eventually become socially unacceptable.

Here is the problem with this idea:

1. The author is making the case that we in the pro-life community, like lemmings, simply do as we are told. And since an “external authority” leads us we are but subjects to mindless reasoning’s. Yes, it is true that we believe in God, in an “external authority”, but then again most of our Founding Fathers did too. Were they mindless fundamentalists as well? - Of course not. Or, take for example, Susan B. Anthony, who is famous for her role in securing for women the rights to vote, to own property and to pursue higher education. But she also adamantly opposed abortion. Was she a racist, mindless, lemming for being “anti-choice”? – Absolutely not.

2. If having faith in God means you are mindless, is the author implying that any woman who is pro-choice cannot believe in God?  Or even a god? I believe many of her readers may find that a tad offensive.

3. Everyone is subject to an “external authority”. And to suggest that an “external authority” does not govern her, or other pro-choice individuals, is absurd. An external authority may be something like nature. Or, the friendly officer that just pulled you over for speeding. The author’s problem is not that an external authority governs you and me, her problem is that it’s God.
