So over the years(the song is 5 years old) people have been confused, and i guess i can understand why about the meaning behind our song fat chance aka: thanks for the torment heres your payback.
Hoping to clear up some of the confusion, we changed the name of the song. However, it hasnt really kicked in yet.
1) We in NO WAY dislike people of different weights. Everyone is different, and thats great because no one wants a bunch of clones walking around. And society's 'only the thin are beautiful' beliefs are crap. So if anyone heard the song and was offended, or felt bad about themself, I personally apologize, there is nothing wrong with you, we love you, and hope you dont judge our band on a misunderstanding.
2) The song is about being picked on as a little kid... and the lyrics dont really talk about what its like to be picked on as much as just being completely bitter towards the ones who picked. It is about a childhood nemesis who grew up faster than most of me and my friends and who used it(his size) to belittle us. The song was meant to be an immature grammar school-like slam back at homeboy, hoping others could relate, and put an end to bullies like "chance" but it hasnt really been taken that way. If anything, it is against bullies in general, not fat kids named chance.
So im sorry again to anyone who didnt get the meaning of the song... I thought long and hard about excluding the song from the cd, but by popular demand decided to keep it on there just change the name. So please help me in clearing up the mess if anyone makes a comment about it.
I want to be a fun, energetic, encouraging band, so lets just keep it that way!
-Clint

We are currently on the lookout for a keyboardist(synth). We would prefer someone with experience, or quick adapting skills! Preferrably someone who is in, around, or plans to soon be around the San Marcos/Austin/San Antonio area!
If you or anyone you know would be interested, respond thru this blog or a message.

Whats up guys. I know Clint usually is in charge of the blogs and what not but I wanted to share with you something I watched earlier this week. I hope all of you take the time to read this and maybe even become part of the movement.
Sunday night I watched a documentary by the name of "Invisible Children." To sum it up, 3 guys, 20 years of age, take a trip to Uganda to document the way thousands of kids were treated. It disgusted, yet inspired them. Everynight in Uganda, thousands of children flock miles into their towns in fear of being abducted by rebel soldiers. Rebels raid their villages and kill their families and kidnap these kids averaging ages 5-12. They take these kids to the jungle and either train them to become soldiers or torture them and just kill them. Well over 50,000 children have been abducted and the number continues to rise. Basically it's like a modern day holocaust taking place. This is where YOU come in. On April 29th, we are gathering, for the Global Night Commute. In over 130 cities across the world people are commuting to a designated area in their city and sleeping for the night in hopes of raising awareness in our governement demanding that change must occur. A little over 19,000 people have signed up so far. That is an amazing number, but we can use many more. Every person that participates in the Global Night Commute will be writing a letter to congress and once they are flooded with letters raising awareness of this epidemic, they will be forced to take action. Head on over to invisiblechildren.com and learn as much as you can about the situation and the organization. Also, go be a friend of myspace.com/invisiblechildren and sign up for the Global Night Commute in your area. Also watch trailors of the video and see how the movement began Life is something to be defended. Are these children not human beings like you and I? Our government has treated the situation up until now with the cold shoulder. We can and will make a difference. We ask you join us for the journey. Below is a flyer for the Global Night Commute and a link to the website. I ask you repost it wherever you can. blogs, bulitens, livejournals, etc. and also there is a commercial for the Global Night Commute. I hope you guys are as affected by this as I was once I first saw it. I ask you not to just feel bad for these kids for their unwanting circumstances, but to take action and become apart of the movement. Take care and God bless!

we love you guys. the past few shows we've played have been so much fun. it is good to see familiar welcoming faces when we come back home... the people we know care about us, and like us for our music, and our friendship... not other things that seem to dominate the music scene these days.
just another reason i love and miss houston.
thanks to all of our good friends... and bands like 1977 ;) we love you guys. tour.. together? eh? haha, would be great. the show last night taught me a lot of things. overall i was very happy with the turnout... other than the terrible pain in my neck right now.
but thanks to all the homies again for always being there!
you should buy a reggie ticket!!

Current mood:ok
Hey Everyone,
We updated our shows, and as you can see there are some important ones coming up. First off... let me start by saying... i HATE battle of the bands shows. However, this one coming up is legit. The winners go on to regionals, then nationals, and then GERMANY! how cool is that! We want to go to Germany(all expenses paid might i add) Anyway... I realize it is a pipe dream possibly. I don't think our music is terrible, but sometimes these battles make me wonder. We need YOUR support. Tickets are $10 and must be bought from one of us, so respond on here, or im me on aim(bteamclint) if you would like one... there are something like 7 bands... so its worth your money.
Also... we have a show with Cruiserweight coming up. We want everyone there... its free!!
And last but the opposite of least... I need professional art work done for our cd... everything is done but the artwork. then they can be pressed, and finally released! I need your help if you know anyone... please let me know.
Thanks to all the supporters!
-Clint

Man, so i went to staring back last night. Although cardis is kinda gay for booking like 300 bands in one night, so they only got to play like 5 songs, it was truely an enjoyable show. It was one of those where everyone there is there because they love the band, and can sing along every word. Good times with 80s combat screaming our lungs out. Ill see them again monday at warped for sure, and so should you!
