Tony de la Barreda - Rest In Peace, BrotherFEBRUARY 19, 2009 - Tony de la Barreda passes after a long battle. Rest In Peace

     Tony de la Barreda, Bass player for Canned Heat on Historical Figures and Ancient Heads and Hooker ‘N Heat passed on Thursday evening of a heart attack. Tony was an instrumental member of the Mexican R&B scene and played with Los Sparks, Los Sinners, Javier Batiz, Clifford Solomon, Canned Heat, Jerome, and many others.

     At his peak, Tony was one of the best. He held the pocket for many great artists, was instrumental in Hooker ‘N Heat and traveled with Fito as a member of Los Sparks on their first trip to the USA to win their record deal.

                                                                           You will be missed, brother.
FITO and all the Canned Heat Family.
