"The band’s debut album, “Cocoon of Love” (Kanine), which will be released this month, is charming and frisky, with touches of the Cure and Leonard Cohen, and even some shoegaze pop. And onstage, the band was improbably tender, even a bit naïve, undercutting its lyrical hauteur at almost every turn."

So we just finished filming two unique films for our new album 'Cocoon of Love'. The great Alex Klein has done it again, filming two videos for Calypso Gold and Martina and Clive Krantz.

Below are some stills, shot by Andrew White, documenting both shoots. Hopefully these shots will intrigue and excite you!

So the internet is weird, I know, it's 2009 ... shit gets weird in the future. But there are people out there posting videos of themselves on youtube. Some of those people do cover versions of some of my favorite songs, this is one of them.

The Magnetic Fields 'Why I Cry'

This video caught my eye for two reasons:

1) The awesome black tank top the dude is wearing
2) And how skillfully he picks the main instrumental melody during the chorus while still singing the 'So you said goodnight ...' part.

Top notch work!

This song first captured my imagination towards the end of one of the best episodes of Nickelodeon's 'The Adventures of Pete and Pete.' The episode has two parts and it is called 'My Little Viking,' it's worth tracking down.

'I'll take alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll your junk!'
