Hello Everybody, Solas is playing the Button Factory in Temple Bar, Dublin on the 29th of January as part of the Temple Bar Trad Fest. We are really looking forward to the gig since it has been a few years since we played in Dublin!!! The following day the band flies to Mosscow, Russia. We are returning for the second year in a row to the Moscow Center for the Performing Arts. It is an amazing venue and the audience is awesome! It is an honor for us and we are delighted to be returning to Russia. Please keep checking back to our website and myspace for dates on our spring tour in the US. Solas will be appearing on RTE's "The View" on January 27th. Performing a track from the new album "For Love and Laughter". Solas played live and taped performances on "A Prairie Home Companion" and " Mountain Stage" radio shows this past weekend. It is rare that a band finishes a tour with its two last gigs being the biggest folk radio shows in the country.(and the fact that they were back to back performances is a real feat) Promoting the new album "For Love and Laughter" on these very prestigious shows was a real pleasure. After a 6 week tour in the United States the band heads off to Ireland, England and Scotland on the 23rd of October. Please check your local listings to make sure you catch the band on "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor (which went out live on Oct. 11 and is still airing) and also on "Mountain Stage" to be aired in November.

Check out 4 new tracks from our new album, "For Love and Laughter" posted on our myspace page. The album will be released August 26th!!! We have advance copies and will have the album on our upcoming tour. Dates for the tour have been posted with more being confirmed. We are thrilled to be getting such positive reaction to the album so far and look forward to touring it this fall. Check dates on our website and myspace for when we will be playing in your area.

We are in Italy at the moment. As usual the food, wine, scenery and style are amazing!!!! The gigs have been amazing!!! We also popped up to Switzerland to play at the Guinness Irish Festival in Sion. We had an amazing night and the audience was awesome!!!Thanks to the crew, lights, sound and all the volunteers backstage for the wonderful hospitality!!! Hopefully we will be back.We have our new album with us "For Love and Laughter" and things are going great with it!!! Two more shows in Italy and then we fly to the Milwaukee Irish Fest in the states.....we are all 5 pounds heavier after this wonderful week of pasta, pizza and wine......hopefully Ryan air won't charge us too much on excess weight!!!! Solas will be appearing at this years Milwaukee Festival!!! Hope to see many of our mid-west fans there. Come and hear our new singer Mairead Phelan from co. Kilkenny in Ireland. We will be playing some new material from our new album "For Love and Laughter" which we will hopefully have copies of especially for the Milwaukee Fest. Also appearing will be our bass player Chico Huff. Should be a great weekend. See you there.
