Current mood: charitable
Hello mi myspace amigos x just wanted to let you know that I recently took part in the recording of a couple of tracks for this year's BBC Children In Need CD 'Bandaged Together' which is on sale now in shops and online.

I was part of a group of female singers, also known as Myspace Girls or My Favourite Girls, depending on what mood the producer was in!  We did backing vocals for the main song 'All You Need Is Love' and we also did lead vocals on 'My Favourite Things' which is a jazz version of the song from Sound Of Music.

In September, I spent a day recording at Abbey Road Studios and loved every minute of it!  I could happily spend every day there, hanging around the studios, listening to amazing musicians and singing a song or two - happy days!

The CD is part of the efforts to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.  The main Children In Need event takes place on Friday 20 November on BBC One, hosted by Sir Terry Wogan, Tess Daly and Alesha Dixon.

Your support for this event is greatly appreciated!  Here's a press release about 'Bandaged Together':

Altogether now...all you need is love...do do do do dooooo

Love and good vibes.

Current mood:  happy

I've just come back from Sri Lanka where I played lots of gigs, soaked up the sun and read nearly four books in my downtime.

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who may be reading this who came along to the Country Roads charity concert in Colombo.  It was so lovely to see your friendly faces again and your support is greatly appreciated.  I was happy to sell lots of copies of my album WILD RIVER which meant I was able to donate the proceeds to the charity projects.

I was invited to perform again on 'Good Morning Sri Lanka' presented by Danu and broadcast live on MTV.  It was my third time on his show and the 30 minutes worth of chatting and singing went by so quickly and seemed more like 30 seconds!

I also visited Sigiriya and Waikkal again where I performed at the Sigiriya Hotel and the Dolphin Hotel.  Thanks a million to Sri Lankan Airlines, Serendib Leisure and Cinnamon Grand Hotel for their generous sponsorship and also thanks to the lovely hotel staff and guests for allowing me to share my music with them.

Current mood:  refreshed

Hello, Happy Spring Time to you.  I hope you are enjoying the warmth of the sun, the pink trees and yellow daffodils as much as I am.

As I may have mentioned in the past, I live in a lovely area of London called Stoke Newington where I have been for a few years now.  If you don't know the area it's up past King's Cross and Angel in North London.  It's such an easy going place to live, it has a lovely feel to it and the locals fondly call it Stokey.

On Friday night I went along to the launch of a local online magazine called 'Stereo Stokey' which took place at Gold Bar in Stoke Newington Church Street.  The mag has been put together by my friend Tom and it aims to promote all things Stoke Newington which pleases me no end.

I also met up with Tom for a catch up a couple of nights before the launch, he interviewed me for 'Stereo Stokey' and if you are interested in having a read then the article can be found here:

I also recommend Gold Bar to you if you are ever visiting Stokey and you're looking for a cool and homely place to hang out with your friends.  It can be found at:  125 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UH.

Much love x
