As I'm sure any bear would tell you, it's easier to go into hibernation than it is to come out.

I enjoy my favorite chair and my Sunday afternoon golf...

...but I've got the music bug again and I'm gonna do something about it.

Got a couple of shows booked already with my friend Matt Martindale and looking for more.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has asked when I'll hit the highway and start playing music again. The short answer is...I don't know.

The long answer is...I'll be back out there when I get enough new material together that I like. I'll be back out there when I get the rest of my act together. I'll be back out there when I'm ready to make a new record.

I will be back out there. Just don't know when. I am glad to see some folks still care. Thanks again.

Musical Hiatus

That's right...I'm taking a break!  I've decided to take a few months away from touring with the band to relax, regroup, rework, write, and (oh yeah) get married.  I was thinking the other day about it and realized that I've been going at least four years without more than a two-week break in the touring schedule. That would be OK if I wasn't also on the chain gang all week.  I know someone will ask, so NO, I'm not quitting.  I'm just feeling a little burned out and feeling like what we're doing musically isn't working so well anymore.  I'll take this time to figure all of that out, as well as write some new stuff so we can eventually start work on a new record. The Float Trip shows will be my last for a while, at least with the band.  You might see me pop up here and there solo, though, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.  Look for new band shows around the end of the year.
