If you are in contact with people who would be interested in these shows please contact us. We can get you real nice flyers to pass out at school or whatever. Esp schools. If you are in school and know people who are down with shows, let us know. We'll get you flyers to pass out/hang up. If we build a good solid reputation for Indiana, then bands will want to come here, rather than having to beg them to come. That way you won't have to travel long distances to go to rad shows. They will be right here where you are. We can also get you your own personal flyer for your myspace page that can have whichever shows you are wanting to help out with. Just message us and tell us which shows you wanna put up on your page and tell us your first and last name (so we can keep everything organized) and we'll give you the flyer code. Then you just message us with your first and last name whenever you wanna update your flyer and we'll update it for you. You just post the code to your page and then tell us which shows you wanna promote, then we'll update your flyer as you tell us too. It's so easy. you don't have to do any work, and you can pimp out the shows you want. The flyer will look something like the one below, only it will have the shows YOU want on it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help out so we can keep rad shows coming.

Sound Services is a 'live Sound Production' company that hosts shows of various sizes in Indiana. We are primarily known as a Sound Company (i.e. 'Sound Services'), however, we also like to throw events of our own.
When it comes to hosting shows this is a company that is trying to stay alive. Not only trying to stay alive, but also trying to maintain honor, integrity, and respect in the music business community no matter how large the scale. While understanding that people have different ideas and beliefs on how things 'should' go down when it comes to booking shows, Sound Services has also seen first hand what has to happen to keep the area alive and full of good shows (as well as good company with those who make up such good shows). This means everyone who wants to make this happen, has to get involved. From the touring acts to the local talent. From the promoter to the people who strive to help the promoter because they believe in what is happening as well as hunger for more to happen. Every entity is vital in maintaining a good reputation in the musicians community. Every entity is crucial in building a reputation of being an excellent state for bands to come to. Sound Services is based in Indiana and strives to do just that. We just love music, love being around other people who love music, and we want to have a good time making sure that good shows go down in Indiana.
There aren't any extremely lucrative opportunities or long term securities working with Sound Services. There are no chances to make it in the big time. There is simply a bunch of people (or one or two people depending on how many choose to be involved) who strive to make good shows a reoccurring thing in Indiana. Despite the 'big time' opportunities, Sound Services plans to grow, and as that happens all those involved will grow too. So here's how you can become involved.
'Live sound production.'
We always need help with loading gear and even running the gear. The live Sound guy (Josh Newsome) at SS doesn't know it all, but has learned a lot in his endeavors. There are always opportunities to learn more about live sound in exchange for helping with load in and load out and assistance in running a system. However, if you are experienced in live sound production there may be opportunities to make money.
'Shows hosted by Sound Services'
Promotion
There is always a need for help with promo. That is huge and we do look out for those who help. We don't have the means to pay people for handing out flyers and myspace help. Mostly because there is no way to tell weather people are actually doing any promo for shows. But we can let people into shows and depending on the amount of involvement there are other responsibilities that can be given and a potential for some small pay. This, like nost other aspects of the company, is something that will expand in time.
'Selling tickets'
We are offering anyone oppertunities to sell tickets and even to make some cash selling tickets. Pre selling tickets helps the show significantly. When bands pre sale or people help out by selling tickets, the show is significantly impacted for the better. Pre Sale tickets are offered (and sometimes required) for bands and are also offered to individuals who want to help make the show better, as well as, make a little cash. We will offer tickets, in amounts generally no smaller than 10, to anyone who can pay for them upfront. Unfortunately we have to have the money up front. If we do not stick to this policy we risk the chance of not getting the money before the day of the show, in which we would have to refuse any 'purchasers' of the tickets admittance into the show without purchasing a ticket that is valid. If they already paid for the ticket and purchased it from someone who had not yet paid for it, Sound Services would begin to accumulate a bad reputation because people would be having to pay for tickets twice in such cases. For this reason all tickets must be purchased up front. Ticket buys are unlimited and there is usually a chance to make $2 a ticket. This can be done for just about any show.
Sound Services strives to accelerate. We want to stay alive and keep booking shows. Unlike so many promoters who have worked in Indiana in the past, we want to honor our word and maintain our integrity in that we pay who we say we are gonna pay. Doing that can mean a pretty significant loss sometimes. The only person who is not guaranteed to get paid at a show is the promoter. It's a big pair of shoes to have to fill. This is why we often times ask for 'pre sale buys' from bands before putting them on shows. We need EVERYone's pull. The promoter is only one guy who has guaranteed A LOT of poeple A LOT of money. If bands wanna play good shows, they gotta help out. Some people may view this differently, but this is how the shows keep coming, when EVERYONE works together and doesn't just expect the promoter to do ALL the work and take ALL the risk so everyone else can show up and benefit.
Well there it is. If any of this peaks your interest just message this account or use the contact information below.
