im addicted to halo 3 on xbox live.

yea i know what your thinking.. there’s no rehab for that.. and your totally right! so i made a video about it trying to reach out to other addicts for support.. i also made it for the lulz.. definitely the lulz. But also mostly for help.

So ive been getting this alot lately.
Alot of ” MattG your not the same” ” MattG your not funny anymore” or ” MattG im going to unsubscribe if you don’t go back to making stand up videos”.

In this blog im going to explain everything to you… Get ready

Basicly what started my whole 5 month “stand up career” was a large lack of time to do any sort of filming at all. Going from school to work and having no time in between. So I came up with a simple way to make videos that were not exactly vlogs but were easy enough to film. What I did was write jokes that were pretty much inspired by what i had done that day. Let me tell you i had/ still have a ton of jokes. So i would form them togeather in away that i thought would entertain and what started as a simple way to keep my viewers entertained till i had some time on my hands became i guess “what i was known for”. At first it was great after a few weeks it became tedious and a pain to complete. During filming there would be soo many distractions such as public school kids walking home from school, Tigger meowing, People talking in my house. With all these things going on i would get distracted or frustrated and had to refilm the whole thing as i would try my best to do it all in one take.

It was not only that but the editing involved with such videos was simple and didnt give me any room at all to expand on my knowledge or creativity. I was trapped in this lame simple little bubble. So when summer rolled around what i decided i would do was change everything. I completely changed my whole style of video. Actually story boarding and editing videos. I was much happier. If you go back past january 08 you will find that my videos are quite like this style i have now gotten into. Id like to say i have gotten back to my more entertaining roots.

I under stand when people get upset that im not sitting there talking about dumb stuff.. i mean when youtubers i watch start to change i tend to unsubscribe from them. So I don’t blame them.. infact i encorage them. Thats right.. basicly if you don’t find me funny anymore i would rather you just unsubscribe then threaten to if i don’t go back to my old videos because its not happening. and really.. do you think that one person is going to change my mind? because really you arnt.

So anyways thanks for taking the time to read!

PS im disgusted with the amount of effort i put into writing and filming and editing my videos then theres those people who just kind of do what ever and get comments saying “oh man your editing is soo good” and get tons of views.

yea so i totally got an email yesterday from a producer at E! entertainment and they are talking about making a show on G4 featuring funny clips from the internet and they totally want to use my electricity vs ass video.. i knew god made joes ass spark for a reason!!! This is pretty dope.. i never say dope so you know how cool this is!

I will have to keep you guys updated on the whole situation.

This isn’t the first time ive been on television! My loud kitty video was featured on the best of indytube in Indianapolis
