Current mood: intense
After months of consideration, we have decided to change the name of Khaos Faktory and felt it would be fitting to do so on the first day of the new year. On January 1, 2010, Khaos Faktory is changing its name and will henceforth be known as ScarForge.
Our sound had greatly evolved since the formation of this band, and we feel that the change in name is a part of that evolution. We began as a synth-dependant industrial rock group and have since adopted a more complex and aggressive cyber-death metal sound with the assemblage of the current lineup.
As we begin the second decade of the 21st Century, our lineup will consist of Shawn on vocals and bass, Mike on guitars and synthesizers, Brandon on vocals and guitars, and Greg on drums. Although Dave is still technically a member of ScarForge, for the time being he is on hiatus as he deals with some personal debts and demons in Indiana. However, our plans to reunite with him in the future have not changed.
In other news, we are planning on modifying and releasing a new promo disc to update the one we released last year, which will include the new, powerful single "Obsidian" from our upcoming Twisted Fixes EP as well as "Konflikted" and "Cattle" from Sinthetic Alchemy 2.0. The disc will be given away for free, and we will release a limited number of copies to several Fort Myers-area record stores.

Current mood: inspired
We just wanted to take a moment to remember the legendary guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbot, who graced us with his 6-string badassery in Pantera and Damageplan. Metal would most definitely not be what it is and where it is today had it not been for Dime's music and his influence. He was a blessing while we had him, and we will never forget our fallen brother!!!
So everybody go dig that old Cowboys From Hell t-shirt out of the closet and wear it with pride on this day!! Then pour yourself a Blacktooth Grin and put on the Greatest Hits DVD or one of the DimeVisions!!! If you don't have the above mentioned, get your ass to the nearest record store and pick them up!!

Here is the latest report on Khaos Faktory's activities, as told by Mike:
"I am extremely pleased to announce that we have added Brandon Casterline to our lineup as the new lead guitarist!! (Those of you who were around during the 80-Proof Throwdown days will remember him as 'Beerkeg Brandon'.) This motherfucker is among the most capable and intelligent musicians I have ever known, and has already co-written some brutal-ass shit with me in our old band. Let's all welcome him into the fold!!!
Also, a related topic: we are currently in the process of bringing back the 80-Proof Throwdown song 'Raising Hell', both during rehearsals and on recording. The old version kicked ass as it was, and now we're gonna amplify it tenfold! This track, of course, will appear on our upcoming, earth-shattering third release 'Twisted Fixes', which is still planned for release in January 2010. Less than three months to go!!
We are also considering a possible name change, but that's not set in stone just yet. We'll let ya know if we do decide to go under a different moniker.
Keep it brutal!!!"

Current mood: artistic
The official Khaos Faktory website is up and running. There's not much there just yet, and I know that a lot of you have been wondering when the hell we were actually going to get it going, but we finally have something up. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. I plan on having a killer-ass site running in the near future, but I and a few other people are still working on ideas.
We're learning HTML code on the fly with no help other than the internet itself, so any help would be greatly appreciated (and credited, if you so desire).
