ANY SLOW CLUB FANS STILL OUT THERE??? i hope so, its been a while since we updated this old thing and i'm sorry about that.

BUT, on here now are 3 of the songs from our new Christmas EP, CHRISTMAS, THANKS FOR NOTHING. Which is out in December, 14th i think, maybe i should have checked that out before i wrote this blog. ANYWAY, in celebration of this we are playing at the Union Chapel on the 17th of December, its us and some friends and a very exciting show for you all i promise I PROMISE YOU HAVE TO COME (we are opening up the top level this year too, PLEASE don't make it soul destroying for us and have that pretty much empty! please please!!!! )But anyway, it is probably gonna be lots of fun, we are playing all the hits then the whole of the Christmas Ep through, with a band. Its gonna be like Christmas week on X factor but we'll be less pretty and we'll sell way less afterwards. But i'll have some sob stories for you all i'm sure.

We are both going on our hols next week too, i'm off to LA and Charles is going to Barbados - check us. Gonna return in full strength and with a shit load of new songs to smash into 2010s face. Exciting.

See you on the 17th yep? ok. good thankyou. r xxx

howdy yall. the UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA has been screaming to all my taste buds. ive eaten 2 weeks of yellow and brown foods. i only saw apples shrink wrapped and abit of green with my pasta pizza. YES i had to try it and two weeks later i am still feeling wrong about the whole thing.

toronto is a great town. we played two shows made a music video and admired the alarmingly large amount of completley mental people walking about the streets. beccy had an incident with her shoes or her feet i am not quite sure where the problem originated.

montreal was far too brief but we had a huge tapas meal with the wave pictures, casio kids and the moshi men. a meal that wont be forgotten until it is surpassed. the venue was la sala rosa, we had to leave after we played to head back for new york and so after a little chat with the guy under the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA sign we were on our way.

new york was a really amazing show. it was the seaport festival. jamie t turned up. i wore a giant monkey suit on stage with casio kids.

after listening to franic talk about trail mix and pissing on a mountain we got to JFK to fly to LA.

we staged with jon bill and jacob from the mae shi who have a balcony view of the hollywood sign and downtown.

the spaceland show was one of the best on the tour. and then jetlag kicked and we got to the happy hour on a roof top party in skidrow.

mallets mallet was the game of choice in the van with us and the wave pictures and an occasional splash from michael and stephen. we learnt that dave is consistantly good at this game along with micheal, on the whole johnny and myself were quite bad apart from one golden moment somewhere between toronto and montreal which i have recorded and franic and beccy were unpredictable.

we stayed in clint eastwoods town, carmel by the sea. good chowder. bad service.

there photos from the drive to san fran.  i dont want to do this image a huge disservice by trying to explain it, so maybe just wait for the photos.

san francisco as i remember was mainly salsa and margarita's. the best show of the whole tour by far. and sadly the last. casio kids were driving to portland we were goin back to LA. for their last song we all got on stage. the most unlikely group of people to play music together. wave pictures(tourist t shirts) casio kids(bow ties and frills) us (casio kids and wace pictures t shirts)

the drive back to LA was from 1am till 7am. we stopped for an ice cream in Oakfield at 2am which according to bill in the van after wasnt the smartest idea. i managed to stay talking or listen till about 6 am but i woke up and the sun had come up and the most beautiful neil young b side that i have never heard was on. i think it was called thunder. it was a weird morning.

SO, i am, again, ILL and having to not play in Manchester on the Jamie T tour, and we missed Bristol. Hopefully we'll be in London and all will be forgotten yes?
Turns out tonsillitis can make you feel like you are literally going to die, and Bristol's hospitals are full of staff who are hilarious but not when you are scared and in pain.
Will be like banana man once again very soon.
Sorry sorry sorry to be such a lameo.

Modo atual:  com fome
our album is nearly ready!! we have done all the recording we are just finishing off the artwork. there will be a LP version of the album with different artwork to the CD which should be out around the same time.

we went to paris last week to some songs for la blogotech. we got see beruit in a penthouse apartment off the champs elysees. was pretty special. we could see the eiffel tower and notre daaaim. i almost killed a guy with a beer can from the balcony and had to make a swift exit.

the next day we drove around with a film crew and played the whole of our album in different places outside paris. we had green tea at a truck stop, almond snacks outside a butchers and what vincent moon calls plastic sandwiches at a service station.

we also played great escape the next day which was one of the best shows we've played in a while. we all partied watching casio kids and the mae shi. we also recorded a live verison on run to your grave with jon and jeff from the mae shi. it should be up sooon!!

we just came back from the sweetest weekend playing music for agaes. id strongly advise anyone who is able to get to homegame to go. its in anstruther just north of endinburgh kind of. it was a weekend of look alikes.  we met a guy called ruben who played accordian for james yorkston and looked suspicously like a king from lord of the rings but i cant remember the name. and we saw a couple of other less impressive wanna bees. viking moses played on our last night there. i have been describing it as gospel grunge. i am not too sure if that absaloutly accurate but it makes me look like i know what i am talking about. he did a leonard cohen cover at the end which i have in video and will try and post up here.

also i have heard the wave machines album which is really impressive. the new songs are moving into more crafted songs it feel. you say the stupidest things is first song on the album. it kicks

i also have a copy the heebee jeebies album ep/album thing called death party. its a screen printed cover complete with a nail to hang the cd on your wall and a condom. i guess for you to celebrate. they are from sheffield and are going to try and get them to play with us sometime this year...

SO much has happened.
In a nutshell we went to New York, i got THE best builder comment of my life (it involved me carrying coffee and him shouting that i was 'a hot cup of coffee myself', genius wasted in construction) we played 3 gigs, we got horrible drunk. We saw a cocroach, we partied Mumford style, we went up the empire state lady woman, i ate a red velvet cup cake...
Then we flew to Austin Texas. We ate a lot of Mexican food, Charles went momentarily blind from one bowl of salsa inparticular, we made some amazing friends in 206 Braeswood, we played 7 gigs, i never found my Glasvegas dream, we did find a band called 'the real estate' who are my new favourite band, they are the perfect sunny evening band, i felt like i was in a john hughes film. I also fell in love with a band called 'the po po' and of course the Mae Shi were incredible and i met my cover version partner in crime 'Kid Static' who is the greatest dancer i have ever met. i think i love him.  I also met devo, DEVO! They didn't stay to watch us play sadly, even tho i told them we were great.
And now we are home, and the real work has to begin, because  OUR ALBUM IS COMING OUT IN JUNE!  So we will have a single before then and a new video and a load of shows for you to come and enjoy. its gonna be fun. Our Scala show had to get cancelled cos of the album re-jig but we will be playing there in September instead, so i hope this hasn't ruined anyones life. anyway, im going to sleep, or maybe eat breakfast, or something, i don't know anymore, jet lag is a HAG.x

Dear All,
What a time we are having at the moment.
We have pretty much finished what i think is going to be our album, which is very exciting and terrifying in equal measure. I (rebecca) am still having a committed relationship with the NHS which means we've had to be a bit slow on the gig front, but my God how that will change, we are gonna go global on your asses asap. I have been enjoying the calming warm buzz of perscription drugs, drinking tea with my gorgeous mother and learning about the future and the past and all things inbetween like the Quaker religion and Anne Frank. Charles has been playing Xbox, painting deep blue oceans of milk and generally waltzing around being dapper waiting for me to sort the shiz out.We are currently awaiting the rest of our lives.
Most exciting of all is that we are going to be going to New York and Texas to play at SXSW! Neither me nor Charles have ever been to the USA so we are very excited about things like corn dogs, yellow taxis and tipping bar men. I am however shitting myself about the flying part, I am not good with planes full stop, nor am i good at sticking with things when i want to give up. So when i have had enough and want to get off, i can't. And that BOTHERS me.
Anyway, download Jeremy Warmsleys single 'If he breaks your heart' because it is a T U N E.
Smell you Later.
