Hey there,

everyone just letting you know what I have been up to , its been a while I know!!!

I am going to play on Balcony TV tonight in Camden lock at around 7.30pm , so stop by and say hi if anyones around. Not sure what song I am doing yet but looking forward to it never the less.

Getting very excited about the Harvest festival gig over at Jimmys farm on Sat and also really looking forward to playing with KT Tunstall as she headlines the festival on Sunday night , its going to be quite a weekend.

The songwriting is going really well , really looking forward to getting the songs recorded and getting them out there for everyone to hear , I really hope that you will like them.

Shows coming up also are:

12th Harvest , show at Jimmys Farm , onstage at around 3pm (http://www.jimmysfarm.com/)
13th Harvest , show playing with KT Tunstall , onstage around 9pm
19th The Songbook sessions at the Zanzibar club in Liverpool , onstage around 9pm
28th Dingwalls , Camden , opening for USA musician Philip Sayce (www.philipsayce.com) , onstage around 7.30pm so come early

Hi Everyone,

sorry its been a while since I blogged!!

getting really busy now working on the new songs prior to recording in August.

Just wanted to let you know I will be playing at Harvest at Jimmy's Farm on the 12th Sept 09 , the lineup is wonderful and so is the setting , so I hope I can see a few of you down there.

Also been asked to perform at a songwriters night up In Liverpool at the Zanzibar on the 19th , with possible shows in Manchester and Bristol just about to be announced too!!

Exciting stuff
Hope your all having a good summer , seems like equal amounts of rain and sun at the min??!!?? .

Hi everyone ,

 

What a fantastic week , the album is out now and available in the shops for the 1st time ever , what an amazing feeling , thanks to everyone for supporting me and allowing my dream to become reality – wow!

 

Next Monday I am playing at the Green Note once again in Camden to celebrate the release , doors are at 8pm , be great to see everyone so please come on down.

From opening track Ups and Downs you get that “Aha!” feeling as a swampy blues twang fades you into the chilly mists of a distinctive new British blues imagination. Its not about 12bars , it's the haunting that does it. Lewis floats bleak phrases, more chapter headings than story, over grunting harmonicas, bottleneck and lapsteel wails; “You get so hard to please/…coming down isn’t easy.” Even when he moves to looser folk or country – as on the title track or Brother – he still carries that seething sense of pressure with the safety valve screwed down tight. AFence Collective associate and KT Tunstall’s long-time guitarist, Lewis has a band who under-stand, no ego, just telling detail. This release’s allure and deep undertow recall Norah Jones’s debut.

I am looking to expand the band and get a few special guests along too for this one.

It was my lucky day yesterday.

Due to a last minute drop out by Noise is the best revenge last night , I got to play on the Janice Long show with Chris , a real honour , Janice and the team she has working with her are wonderful , it went really well , please have a listen again on the BBC iplayer , I think its up for the next 7 days.
