Meet the Plus Models of the 2009 Flawless Calendar, 3/01/2009

The Flawless Calendar is back for 2009 featuring plus size models
of various ethnicities and ages. Models from size 14 to 22 are featured
in beautiful swimwear proving once again that curves are sexy.


This month we speak with 5 of the models featured in the Flawless Calendar... enjoy!

Meet Wynter


[Maddy] For those that do not know you tell us a little about yourself.


[Wynter] I am a native of Virginia where I grew up, attended Hampton
University and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree.  I've been
modeling for six years now and have been in publications such as
Essence Magazine and appeared on BET's Rip the Runway, The Today Show
and The Dave Chappell Show and graced many an Ashley Stewart runway!


[Maddy] The Flawless Calendar is a great concept because it shows plus
size women of various sizes, races and shapes in their true beauty. How
do you feel about being chosen for this project?


[Wynter] I was extremely honored to be invited to be a part of the
Flawless Calendar, simply because it is a product that includes some of
the top professionals within the plus size industry.  As a model
on the east coast it was great to be able to travel out west to see how
the ladies do things there.  The calendar was done over a three
day time period and we had a blast!


[Maddy] How do you personally feel about being a plus size woman in
this society which is more concerned about being "thin" as opposed to
being healthy?


[Wynter] I've always felt that if you are healthy...then you are a
winner.  (Whether thin or plus size.) Without your health you have
nothing.  We are all given one life and one body and we must take
care of them as best possible.  Everything else that is
perpetuated by society just does not matter.


[Maddy] This year the Flawless Calendar has the models in bathing
suits. How did you prepare to be "Flawless" on the day of the shoot?


[Wynter] I was VERY nervous about posing in a bathing suit at first,
but only because I hadn't seen what I was going to wear.  But the
stylist, Make up artist, photographer and hair team did such an amazing
job and put me in a suit that I LOVED!  Just like anything else if
you love what you are wearing it shows on you and I was able to get a
great shot.  Thanks Reah, Jo, (I can't remember the MUA's name)
and Inez!!!


[Maddy] How do you maintain your positive body image?


[Wynter] Maintaining positive body image is an all time challenge!
Either self doubt will get you, or you'll be feeling like a million
bucks in a dress that is to die for (and looks great on you) walk into
a room and hear a voice in the distance saying "Oh no she
didn't!"  As if to say she shamelessly knew that dress hit every
curve when she put it on.  I have learned that the blessings that
you receive you have received them with the body that God has given
you.  Another body may have blessed you with something totally
different in this world whether good, bad or indifferent, so I have
learned to be grateful for what my parents and God have given me.

In what has to be the biggest waste of time I have seen so far, Anthony & Royale have entered into what has become the biggest "war" on Facebook lol.

Both having their own respective "Army's" that attack eachother during the night with shit like this lol omg this is hillarious.

I "worry" about if a dress will photograph well, I "worry" if a bank wire will come through successfully, I "worry" about how long it will take for my car to be detailed..

I don't know SHIT about worrying (shakes head) like this lady did.
