MARIONETTE Comment on Upcoming Tours, Live Footage from Gothenburg Available
Gothenburg Sweden based metal sextet MARIONETTE has posted a collage of high quality footage from its September 24, 2009 show at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg Sweden. The video can be viewed at the link below.
MARIONETTE recently announced it will support SHADOWS FALL and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in Scandinavia and BLESS THE FALL on a string of tour dates across Europe and the UK this winter. The trek will include two
“Off Date” shows which will feature MARIONETE as headline act. Bassist and founding member Mikael Medin comments:
“We have a slew of upcoming dates where you can hear and see us perform new songs from "Enemies" as well as some favorites from "Spite". We’ve been hungry to get back out on the road. We start later this week in Scandinavia with Shadows Fall and Five Finger Death Punch, and in December we will tour Europe and the UK with Bless The Fall. To give you a taste of what you'll see we've posted some video footage of a recent show we did recently at Sticky Fingers.
"We look forward to meeting everyone who comes out, both new fans and those who have seen us before. We have two special headline shows set up, one at Rios in Leeds on 6 December and on 14 December at Blogos in Bologna, Italy (moved from Montebelluna). We plan to have special sets for these nights, so we hope those who like what they see on the tours will come see us for those nights as well and hang with us after the shows at the merch stand. We’ve got more plans in the works for 2010 and we look forward to unveiling them soon. In the meantime, keep up with our videos, and we’ll see you in the moshpit." MARIONETTE has also posted the song “Creatures”
on the band’s Official Myspace Page.
“Creatures” comes from Enemies, the bands sophomore release due out on October 5, 2009
in Europe via Listenable Records.
MARIONETTE lead guitarist and backing vocalist
Aron Parmerud recently described Enemies as a monumental evolutionary step from the band’s debut
album Spite. “Unlike the recording process of Spite we recorded Enemies over a period of months, and we have
had plenty of time to try new things in the studio to make the album absolutely
insane. Every element that you heard on Spite has been taken to the extreme. At the same time, there is a clear evolution
from Spite to Enemies. All of the live experience we have had while touring has
made us more skillful as individual musicians and tighter as a band. All this
will reflect itself on Enemies
when it is in your hands this fall!”

For Immediate Release 15 September 2009
Sydney, Australia’s premier extreme metal unit, THE
AMENTA recently announced the departure of
vocalist Jarrod Krafczyk and bassist Dale Harrison. The two have been replaced by Cain Cressall (MALIGNANT
MONSTER) and Dan Quinlan (PAIN DIVISION) respectively. THE
AMENTA will showcase its new lineup at
Against The Grain Festival (September 19th), and a series of
Australian shows before the band embarks on the Monsters of Death Tour in North
America this fall with VADER, DECREPIT
BIRTH, WARBRINGER, AUGURY
and S.W.W.A.A.T.S. Keyboardist Timothy Pope made the
following remarks on the lineup changes:
“Firstly we
would like to thank Jarrod and Dale for all their hard work for the band. They
both put in amazing effort throughout their time with us. We would also like to
congratulate Dale on his impending fatherhood. The split was very amicable and
we wish them all the best. That said we are very excited to have Cain and Dan
on board.
“Dan has been a friend for a long time and has worked with
us a sound engineer in the past.. He is a great bass player and his touring
experience with PAIN DIVISION as well as his vocal abilities means that Dan has
already become an invaluable asset to THE
AMENTA.
“Cain was our one and only choice when we parted ways with
Jarrod. We played with his band MALIGNANT MONSTER in Perth early this year and his performance was a very hard act to
follow. He has an amazingly
versatile voice coupled with the best stage presence we have ever seen. I know
that with these two on board THE AMENTA will be the strongest we’ve ever been.
“We are very excited to embark on our first ever North
American tour. To be sharing a stage with our friends in Vader again will be
amazing and I am looking forward to seeing the other bands in action. We are
looking forward to showing off our new line up and I know that we are going to
blow some minds.
“After the tour we are going to get stuck into writing the
follow up to last years, “n0n”. I’m not sure what direction the album will take
yet but you can rest assured that it will be extreme, challenging and unlike
anything we, or anyone else, has done before.
“It’s been a great year for THE AMENTA and the Monsters of Death tour is the perfect end.
Prepare yourselves North America. You haven’t seen anything like us before.”

Sydney Australia-based extreme metal act THE AMENTA will join VADER, DECREPIT BIRTH, WARBRINGER, AUGURY, S.W.W.A.A.T.S. on “Monsters Of Death Tour” presented by Decibel Magazine. “Monsters of Death Tour” kicks off on November 4 in Baltimore, Maryland and will run for 38 dates across North America, also marking the first North American tour for THE AMENTA. Commented keyboardist/sampler Tim Pope: “ THE AMENTA is very honoured to be sharing a stage with VADER in North America on the "Decibel Presents: Monsters Of Death Tour". Our first European tour - Winterfest 2009 - was with Vader earlier this year and we know that we’re going to have a great time both offstage and on with those guys. It’s a very strong bill and we can’t wait to see the other bands in action. We’ve heard so much about touring North America and can’t wait to get over there to blow people away. We are on the top of our game at the moment and the States will finally get to see what we are capable of. Thanks to everyone involved for giving us a chance. It’s a great honour to have such a strong tour for our first time on your shores. To the fans in the States: Get ready. You haven’t seen anything like us.” THE AMENTA recently completed the “Unleashing The Extreme Tour 2009” in Australia, which also featured PSYCROPTIC and RUINS. All upcoming tour dates, including “Monsters of Death Tour” can be found below. n0n, the latest album from THE AMENTA, was released on 10 February 2009 in North America via Listenable Records. The CD, which came out in Europe in October 2008, was mixed at The Vault Studios in Sydney, Australia with longtime engineer Lachlan Mitchell ( NAZXUL). Mastering n0n took place at Studios 301 with Australia's premier mastering engineer Steve Smart. THE AMENTA describes the n0n’s sound as a fusion of extreme metal, electronic noise and dub. The follow-up to 2004's Occasus features tracks in total, with each song containing over 100 actual recorded tracks, pushing technology to its absolute limits. Rather than relying on the clichéd shit in which other bands are content wallow, THE AMENTA has constructed an album built on new ideas, new concepts, new sounds and new techniques. n0n is the fusion of white noise, shards of dissonant guitars and dense layers of radio chatter. Lyrically, n0n is a newscast, “showing you the shit around you. Suicide bombers and evangelists, freeways and dead ends. n0n stands as an indictment on today's media and technology addicted society.” Concert footage from THE AMENTA’s performance at Manning Bar in Syndey Australia as part of the “Unleashing The Extreme Tour” can be viewed at the link below. This live clip of the song “Dirt” also features RUINS vocalist Alex Pope, who laid down vocal tracks for the song on n0n. “Monsters of Death Tour” (Vader, Decrepit Birth, Warbringer, THE AMENTA, Augury, S.W.W.A.A.T.S)**11/04/09 Sonar – Baltimore, MD 11/05/09 The Palladium – Worcester, MA 11/06/09 Webster Underground – Hartford, CT 11/07/09 The Blender Theater @ Gramercy – New York, NY 11/08/09 Fou Founes Electriques – Montreal, QC – CANADA 11/09/09 Imperial de Quebec – Quebec City, QC – CANADA 11/10/09 Mod Club – Toronto, ON – CANADA 11/11/09 Penny Arcade – Rochester, NY 11/12/09 Peabody’s – Cleveland, OH 11/13/09 The Pearl Room – Mokena, IL 11/14/09 Rave – Milwaukee, WI 11/15/09 Station 4 – St. Paul, MN 11/16/09 Royal Albert Arms – Winnipeg, MB – CANADA 11/17/09 The Exchange – Regina, SK – CANADA 11/18/09 The Underground – Calgary, AB – CANADA 11/19/09 Starlite Room – Edmonton, AB – CANADA 11/20/09 Roll-A-Dome – Prince George, BC – CANADA 11/21/09 Bourbon – Vancouver, BC – CANADA 11/22/09 Sugar – Victoria, BC – CANADA 11/23/09 El Corazon – Seattle, WA 11/24/09 Satyricon – Portland, OR 11/25/09 Regency Grand Ballroom – San Francisco, CA 11/27/09 Jumping Turtle – San Marcos, CA 11/28/09 Chain Reaction – Anaheim, CA 11/29/09 The Key Club – Hollywood, CA 11/30/09 U.B’s – Mesa, AZ 12/01/09 The Rock – Tucson, AZ 12/02/09 Gator’s – Farmington, NM 12/03/09 Club Vegas – Salt Lake City, UT 12/04/09 Bluebird Theater – Denver, CO 12/05/09 Marquee – Tulsa, OK 12/06/09 Scout Bar – San Antonio, TX 12/07/09 Scout Bar – Houston, TX 12/09/09 The Masquerade – Atlanta, GA 12/10/09 Peppermint Beach Club – Virginia Beach, VA 12/11/09 Volume 11 – Raleigh, NC 12/12/09 Rex Theater – Pittsburgh, PA 12/13/09 The Trocadero – Philadelphia, PA 09/19/09 - Fowlers Live, Adelaide, Australia (Against The Grain Festival) **Tickets for “Monsters Of Death Tour” are available exclusively through Enter The Vault Tickets - Get Presales! till July 17, after which tickets will be available through other ticketing services.

Suicide bombers and evangelists, freeways and dead ends. n0n stands as an indictment on today's media and technology addicted society.” Multi-camera pro-shot, concert footage from THE AMENTA’s performance at Sydney’s Gaelic Theater as part of the Industrial Corruption tour also featuring THE BERZERKER can be viewed below. “Monsters of Death Tour” (Vader, Decrepit Birth, Warbringer, THE AMENTA, S.W.W.A.A.T.S., and Augury)**11/04/09 Sonar – Baltimore, MD 11/05/09 The Palladium – Worcester, MA 11/06/09 Webster Underground – Hartford, CT 11/07/09 The Blender Theater @ Gramercy – New York, NY 11/08/09 Fou Founes Electriques – Montreal, QC – CANADA 11/09/09 Imperial de Quebec – Quebec City, QC – CANADA 11/10/09 Mod Club – Toronto, ON – CANADA 11/11/09 Penny Arcade – Rochester, NY 11/12/09 Peabody’s – Cleveland, OH 11/13/09 The Pearl Room – Mokena, IL 11/14/09 Rave – Milwaukee, WI 11/15/09 Station 4 – St. Paul, MN 11/16/09 Royal Albert Arms – Winnipeg, MB – CANADA 11/17/09 The Exchange – Regina, SK – CANADA 11/18/09 The Underground – Calgary, AB – CANADA 11/19/09 Starlite Room – Edmonton, AB – CANADA 11/20/09 Roll-A-Dome – Prince George, BC – CANADA 11/21/09 Bourbon – Vancouver, BC – CANADA 11/22/09 Sugar – Victoria, BC – CANADA 11/23/09 El Corazon – Seattle, WA 11/24/09 Satyricon – Portland, OR 11/25/09 Regency Grand Ballroom – San Francisco, CA 11/27/09 Jumping Turtle – San Marcos, CA 11/28/09 Chain Reaction – Anaheim, CA 11/29/09 The Key Club – Hollywood, CA 11/30/09 U.B’s – Mesa, AZ 12/01/09 The Rock – Tucson, AZ 12/02/09 Gator’s – Farmington, NM 12/03/09 Club Vegas – Salt Lake City, UT 12/04/09 Bluebird Theater – Denver, CO 12/05/09 Marquee – Tulsa, OK 12/06/09 Scout Bar – San Antonio, TX 12/07/09 Scout Bar – Houston, TX 12/09/09 The Masquerade – Atlanta, GA 12/10/09 Peppermint Beach Club – Virginia Beach, VA 12/11/09 Volume 11 – Raleigh, NC 12/12/09 Rex Theater – Pittsburgh, PA 12/13/09 The Trocadero – Philadelphia, PA Unleashing The Extreme Tour 2009 (Psycroptic, THE AMENTA, Ruins)06/26/09 - The National Hotel, Geelong, Australia 06/27/09 - The Corner Hotel, Melbourne, Australia 09/19/09 - Fowlers Live, Adelaide, Australia (Against The Grain Festival) **Tickets for “Monsters Of Death Tour” are available exclusively through Enterthevault.com till July 17, after which tickets will be available through other ticketing services. Gothenburg Sweden based metal sextet MARIONETTE recently came home from a two and fifteen date trek across the UK with Deathstars and The Defiled. A tour video capturing the excitement and debauchery of MARIONETTE’s second UK trek in 2009 can be viewed at the link below. Upon arrival in Gothenburg after the UK tour, MARIONETTE entered Studio Fredman with legendary producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At The Gates, Zonaria) to begin the mixing process for the bands as-of-yet-untitled sophomore release. Prior to the UK tour MARIONETTE tracked the album with Pontus Hjelm (Dead By April, ex Cipher System) and two-time Swedish Grammis award winning producer/composer Åke Parmerud in Gothenburg. The album will be mastered by Peter In de Betu at Tailor Maid Studio (Old Man’s Child, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu Borgir) in Stockholm Sweden, with an expected fall 2009 release via Listenable Records. MARIONETTE lead guitarist and backing vocalist Aron Parmerud recently described the band’s new album as monumental evolutionary step from its debut album Spite. “Unlike the recording process of “Spite” we will record over a period of months, and we will have plenty of time to try new things in the studio to make the album absolutely insane. Every element that you heard on “Spite” will be taken to the extreme. At the same time, there is a clear evolution from “Spite” to this album. All of the live experience we have had while touring in support of “Spite” has made us more skillful as individual musicians and tighter as a band. All this will reflect itself on the album when it is in your hands!” MARIONETTE’s debut album, Spite, was released in North America via Koch/Listenable Records in September 2008. The album was released previously in April of that year via Listenable Records across Europe. Spite was recorded, mixed and mastered with a team of up-and-coming and established producers including Simon Exner (As You Drown), Christian Silver (Sonic Syndicate, The Crown, By Night) and two time Swedish Grammis winning composer/producer _ke Parmerud. Quality video footage of MARIONETTE performing the songs “Legion”, “Parasite” and “In Spite” from Brew House in Gothenburg on 08 Feburary 2009 can be viewed at the link below:
