Playlist story (starting from Joker and the Thief and going in order, skipping the songs that don't work)

One day, a prince and princess were romping through the forest when suddenly a jester popped out from under a rock. Upon asking what this joker was doing hiding under a rock, he pointed in utter despair behind the couple. They looked behind and saw that there was nothing there. They had turned around to query the joker, but he was running off to the clover field. The prince was just scratching his head in confusion when he looked down to find that his coinpurse was missing. The joker was a thief! The prince had given chase to the joker, who was skipping through the fields of clover, holding the bag containing 776 pieces of gold. "Don't hurt him!" yelled the Princess, but the Prince was on a mad chase with fire in his eyes. The jester looked back to notice the prince dashing after him and started to flee the scene. He ran much faster than the prince, and started to taunt him by running backwards. This caused the joker to trip and fall down a hill to a sandy shore. He was trapped now, with the prince in front of him and the ocean behind him. The joker went down to his knees, hands sifting through the sand toward the prince, and started to beg:

"I'll give you anything if you want anything."

The prince just scoffed at the jester and gave him a hard punt to the stomach.

"Pleased to meet you," said the prince.

He then took his coinpurse back and started to walk away when the joker (and the thief) got up and started to say, "I've been defeated and wiped out, dropped to my knees when hope ran out. The time has come to change my ways." Then the jest put his fists up. The prince just laughed at this sight and instead gave him an offer. He said, "Take out my papers and my trash, and you will get some spending cash. Then, scrub my kitchen floor, then you may jest for my kingdom once more."

"YAKETY YAK!!!" cried the jester, as he flung himself toward the prince. The prince took a sidestep and the jester fell flat on his face.

The sounds of a sobbing jester can be heard from miles around, they say. This particular one cried ever so softly and just whimpered. Before the jester could even mutter an apology, the prince snapped back with "It's too late to apologize," and walked back to his princess, who was standing at the top of the hill watching the events unfold. "'Tis never too late to apologize, you fiendish monster!" the princess proclaimed. She ran down the hill, passing her prince, and knelt next to the jester. "Charles," the princess said, "I am so sorry for abandoning you for this imbecile."

Charles, the jester, looked up to her with tears in his eyes. "When you're dreaming with a broken heart, the waking up is the hardest part. I would roll out of my sleep and get down on my knees, and for moments on end not be able to breathe. Just wondering if you were still here, standing in my midst. But that you were not." A single tear fell from his eyes down one cheek. The princess looked down at him and took him in her arms, "I shall never make that mistake again."
