Current mood: naughty
Been a while since we've wrote anything. I think I'll start throwing more stuff up since the holidays are so slow. I'll try not to forget. I'm online in an airport and I like how the wifi here is free. Remember when everyone tried to charge you for wifi?? When it started I thought it was really stupid, and was waiting for the day when charging for internet in public places would fall apart. It's crazy to think that Starbucks STILL charges for internet. Why am I writing about the internet right now? I officially just bored myself. Been doing all kinds of weird stuff since Thanksgiving since TSD is on holiday hiatus. Been UFO hunting in the deserts! For real! I knew I probably wouldn't see anything, but off roading through a desert at 3AM is pretty cool. Totally worth getting lost miles in. Been running around town a bit. So glad ChadM and I ride motorcycles. If I wasn't on a motorcycle this time of year it would take me all day to park and get around all the Christmas shopping people. I ducked under the parking gate at the Grove and parked on the sidewalk where everyone walks. It was great. Everything was all Christmasy. Lights, Fat Santas bouncing children perversly on their knees, and of course the snow. Snow on a cool Los Angeles night it interesting. Especially since it's tiny soap suds floating down. Some got in my eye and it burnt. Still looked cool though. Movies. Been watching movies too. I don't watch really much TV or movies just cause we're always doing other things, but I've been getting caught up. Funny People... not funny. Who knew blogging about non-band things could be so fun....... Christmas always makes me feel like being in New York. Once of these Chirstmasesseseses I'm going to have to spend it there. I also want to swim in the Hudson so I can smell like death. ChadM and I are going crazy on this break. It's kind of funny. Everything bandy shuts down from like Nov. till Jan something, so there's not a whole lot of point in working. I guess it's a good break though. We've been dealing with morons lately and had us both pretty pissed off. Companies saying one thing and doing another, tour stuff once again being pushed back, issues with merch details and red carpet stuff.... so many morons. You have no idea the hell we have been through. Free music. Who would have thought it would have raised so many stupid questions? Companies look at us and get all sweaty cause they work with other major labels and they're afraid we'll piss those guys off. It's insane. We're like 2 dudes that walked into a school and said we could solve the bully issues. Most kids rejoiced, but the ones who got picked on were terrified we'd fail and they'd get in trouble. Corporate America has no balls and is afraid of their own shadow. Does anyone have balls? A lot of army dudes walking around in the airport today. I think their uniforms are cool, but they must not be allowed to wear regular clothes while traveling or something? Interesting. Ok, I'm tired of typing. How do bloggers do this every day? Chad

Current mood: adored
Well ChadM and I are on Thanksgiving break still. Might possibly morph right into Christmas depending on the next few weeks. I just can't stop eating. I'm eating everything I see. Even if I'm not hungry I think "it's the holidays, bring on the fat" and eat whatever is in front of me. I'm already getting anxious for my 300, Brad Pitt Snatch workout schedule once the holidays are over cause I'll have a serious energy build up. I already do. I find myself running around the kitchen jumping up on the counters and jumping down stairs. Though I'm starting to feel like I have a baby on board. I have no idea what's coming up before Christmas. I'm assuming TSD will be going to some Xmas events/parties between typical band stuff where we'll have to wear ugly sweaters and drink Egg Nog.... which has the same consistency as thick snot. Though it's still pretty good. I don't know what I want for Christmas. I'm not really much of a holiday person in general. It's nice to see family and all that, but otherwise I get stuck on a couch with a Turkey drip IV watching old specials that make me feel weird. Probably a good recharge before 2010 though. Most the people we've been dealing with this past year seem to think 2010 is THE YEAR. For what... I don't know. lol. I'm watching football right now. I NEVER watch football. Now I remember why. Don't know if you saw the new webisode on our page or not. It turned out pretty good I think. It took forever to make cause we have this HD camera thing and It's too high rez for my computer lol. I need to get a new computer next year. But yeah, go check it out. If you've gone to our website recently you might have noticed it's different but some of the links don't work. Chill. It's under construction kind of. A lot of changes have been going on this year and things have been happening fast, so other things aren't done yet. Keep pirating our stuff cause the big companies that are running music into the ground with their ready made awful fake bands aren't happy with us. The free music thing really does piss them off, so if you're into pissing off major corporations who keep bad music on the radio as the industry is dying, pirate us. Alright, I'm debating another fridge run. chad

Current mood: envious
Past few weeks have been blurry to me. Ever since the whole breaks going out night, things have been moving quicker and quicker. We've been doing more of these Red, Green, Pink, black carpet events in the past few weeks, and have more to come. Show up, mingle, look Suicide Denialy, and then bounce to go eat In N Out or pizza. It's fun meeting new people, but I really don't like dressing up. I've always hated that. I mean... I like jumping over parking meters and running up walls. Dress clothes suck for that.
We have another charity event tomorrow night that should be fun. It's a good cause and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. I think? Either way it will be fun to.. yet again, meet more people lol.
Rehearsals and new album concept stuff has been loads of fun. ChadM and I are putting everything into each rehearsal and leave rather sweaty. And pasty. We're still waiting to hear details on tours and all that, so in the meantime we're just keeping sharp. We're still looking for a live keyboardist though who can trigger samples, does the whole MPC thing, and can do bass lines on keys. We're not really in a rush, but it would be nice to finish up that little lose end. Either way, if we really wanted to figure it out it would probably take a couple phone calls lol.
I just realized today that next weekend is my favorite holiday! Now I need to figure out where I'm even going to be. I was thinking about heading out of town, but I thought I had more time... so now I might be doing Halloween somewhere else, which is a little different than a city of 14 million people going crazy on the streets and everywhere. I mean, EVERYONE gets into Halloween in LA. It's great. I'll have to figure this one out. Maybe if I go out of town I do a ghost hunt or something. I don't know.
The team has been talking about all kinds of stuff lately, one of them finally being a new music video! We really need a new vid for the track "I'm Sorry LA", so it's on the list of to do's. Among about 500 other things.. but it's on the list!
Last night we all played halo and ate like 3 pizzas. I went to sleep feeling like a beast.
Took my motorcycle into the shop the other day to have some work done on it. Now it's all good. Of course the second I take it out, I almost die... 3 times. Once almost sideswiped a car, another almost slammed into the back of a van before slipping to the right to avoid it, and another.... well I don't remember that one. Maybe I almost hit my head on a truck mirror when splitting lanes. Anyway.
Oh yeah! So I know we posted a few things about Montana this week, but this should clear it up. These dudes were slapping TSD stickers around their town in Montana. Spreading some Denial! I guess they got caught or something, and of course the Police came down on them like they were busting windows and raping cows or something. So retarded. Anyway, they got citations and have to appear in court! Don't cops have better things to do?? Watch out for those stickers, they might cause someone to rob a bank! I mean, why wouldn't they just tell them to take it off? So again props to them! From the sounds of it it's just pissing people off and now everyone wants in on the action lol. Let that be a lesson to you everyone else! Montana has some serious TSD balls.... not sure they sounded right.
Out Chad

Current mood: sick
The other night some of the TSD team headed out in our buddies car to a party downtown. On the way his brakes went out. I mean, we were driving, he was braking, then everything just went... free? lol. Kind of felt like a go-kart coasting down a hill. Luckily we weren't on the freeway, but it was still really dangerous. I told him to try the e-brake so he did, and we ended up using that all the way to the shop where we left the car. When we picked the car up the shop dudes were terrified that we were driving around with no brakes. Maybe that was a bad idea lol.
We just got back from rehearsal a little while ago, but we had to cut it short cause I was dizzy and pretty sure I was going to pass out. I have this problem with food. I tend to forget to eat. I don't really get hungry all that much, so I just go without eating. A pretty bad combo when you're jumping around with a guitar. I went home and had a delicious meal of trail mix and milk out of the carton. My mother would be proud.
Tomorrow night we have a Pink Carpet event (yes pink) for breasts. We all love them, so this is to take care of them. 7 Lighting Bolt is hooking us up with some style, so it should be fun, and sexy looking haha. I think we have a few pics from a charity art show we were apart of the other night too, so be looking for those. We'll try to get them posted ASAP.
Our team is still doing all our ground work. We've had some set backs due to egos, but we think they'll work in our favor in the end. Keep spreading denial if you want to help! This recession has hit hard so it's making things extremely difficult in some areas. Just be patient and keep spreading denial!

Current mood: gallant
Hello. Chillin outside right now doing some work on my laptop, ChadM is getting ready for a PR meeting with our PR guy, planning on hitting a movie tonight, then have a cool charity event to attend this weekend. I'll try to post some pics. We're kind of slacking in that area.... along with a few others lol. So here it is, we've made it to webisode #40! How insane is that? For all of you who have been here since webisode #1, pat yourself on the back cause things have come a loooong way. Don't forget to keep feeding the music to friends and file share networks. We just found out yesterday why Pandora won't play our music and it's because it's free! lol. In other words, corporations are scared of what we're doing, so we (yes we, that means you too) need to push even harder now! They're keeping change from you, so help us fix that!
Ight, out chad

I know we've been blog slacking. It's my fault. We get wrapped up in revolutionary activities and forget about the blog! However, our new website is currently being created by our boy Ryan Arnold, and in it we'll have a REAL blog section where you can read all kinds of fun things like:
*Bathroom experiences
*"whoa, did you see that guys toenails!?!"
*How many times we were flipped off riding through traffic
*Yet again someone thought I was Casey Affleck
The list goes on, but you get the idea. We've been all over as of recent. Been rehearsing while our PR rep lines up tour stuff, hitting the usual LA parties and events, repping TSD and the free music revolution, filming webisodes, meeting with lots of interesting AND boring people on the band... so it's been good. We've also been jumping in on different studio projects with different people, and chillin with our friends from Root Beer, Pigeon John, and Peter Daily. Of course you would know all of this AS it happens if you subscribed to our twitter page. I personally enjoy twitter while finding it really stupid at the same time. It's probably just me... i don't know. I'm in the middle of making a webisode, so I should probably get back to that. If you haven't subscribed to webisodes OR twitter... then you're just saucy aren't you ;) DO IT! Chad

Current mood: mellow
So when ChadM and I set out to do The Suicide Denial we decided we weren't going to do things the way we did other bands that we had been in. We decided that we wanted to do things completely backwards really. We did this for many many reasons, but one being we wanted to provide an album and a band that everyone could be apart of for a while, not just a blip that burned out too soon. Know what I mean? Many incredible bands get tossed around by clubs and agents only to burn out after 4 years. It's not fair to them. We were all about talking to the people that bands typically try to reach through years of touring, loads of money spent on studio time, and several broken down vans lol. We found them, we talked, and things have gone better than we could have hoped for. In the process many people have jumped on board this thing. Like Target. However, while lining things up for free albums in Target, MORE people have jumped on board showing extreme interest in working with the band, who can take the band even further, and it wouldn't make sense for the album to be in Target yet. It would in fact be a step backwards. So Target is on hold simply because TSD will advance further if we wait. I HATE waiting more than just about anyone, so this totally blows, but we would rather advance everything through a strategic band business move than just throw the albums out knowing the next step is...well... unknown. You have all been mad cool about everything, and we would give anything to be on the road to see you all, but it's not time YET. Hang in there with us. Keep spreading denial through word of mouth and burning the album. The more people listening, the quicker these things will go through, and the sooner we'll be touring through your city! HUGE things are taking place..... you just can't see them yet lol. Now go do something! TSD

Current mood: ecstatic
As you probably know by now, TSD has dedicated it's entire existence to making our music real, and keeping it free. Choosing to do this has been an extremely complicated long road, and we know it would be like this. The very people who sell you music hate us. We represent change, and change means they can't rip you off anymore. So it's been very interesting. We also decided to focus our time and energy on working through all the corporate red tape in order to find like minded business people that are actually ready for something new. Yes we would have rather been touring this whole time, or making new music videos and stuff, but in order to really get deep into this mess of a music industry, we had to sneak in the back door. Well, we have done it! It's taken a while, but we now have the very people we've been working on finding, lining up. That's right, the free music revolution just got massive backing. MASSIVE. We'll keep you posted on all the details, but since the door was JUST broken in, we can't say too much just yet. Just be ready to do your part on downloading, and spreading our music through file share networks, and however else you want. The more you do that, the quicker we'll overtake the entire industry, and a true revolution will have taken place! So what have we been up to between talking with all these corporate people?
A lot of motorcycle riding, working on different studio projects, rehearsing, writing, taking in some events here and there, traveling, swimming, a little skating, ghost hunting, you know... that kind of stuff.
Well I just wanted to sort of keep you posted on stuff cause we haven't been very Myspacy these past couple months. We've been very busy. We have a TON of work ahead of us, and are really really hoping some tour dates will be popping up soon. It just depends on a few different things involving like minded artists who are ready for change as well. We'll keep you posted! Thanks for keeping up on us, thanks for slapping your city with TSD's slaps, and keep SPREADING DENIAL!
