So this is day off. We're all having a nice rest, eating some food. This tour has officially been titled the 'bread alone' tour. I think I've averaged a proper meal once every 2 days and apart from that bread has been the key. I still remember Sunday's cavery at the louisana in Bristol as being VERY needed. The company of some rock n roll repribates from other places joining us from that made that meal a good and interesting one. Waking up to unknown voices in different places has become pretty standard.

Musically we've been proper enjoying playing with each other, more than ever before. Our sets have been sharp as we've wanted, and we've got more of straight up messege than we've had before. Its been a really hard time to tour, the 'ol world cup and students disappearing off to wherever they originated has meant shows you might think are busy sometimes are not quite as busy as expected. Still been good tbough. Homecoming in exeter timepiece was unbelievable, tons and tons of people, all our friends, everyone who has been there since the beginning. Brilliant to have our single release celebration party in the place we end up most nights we want to keep drinking in this fair town of the exciter.

A proper tour diary will go up at some point. But here are some of the highlights in very short form.
1)instore in solo for single release, spot on, rockin out in the best independent record store in the WEST.
2)Jimmy lunging over the balcony at White heat in Soho, showing who's boss when all those london scene kids are involved. Great night though didn't appreciate walking about an hour in the rain at bout 4 in the morining in Camberwell coz andy couldn't see through the 'steamed up windows' where to get off.
3) Musically playing my favorite set off the week in Brixton the next night.
4) Meeting the very nice Lucida Console guys in Swindon, At the Drive in with keyboards, and all so original too, great band.
5) Andy licking those girls toes in Manhattan bar in Bristol and getting hit by that girl for taking the ribbon out of her hair, the lovely bristol folk, esp pete, doug and zoe. Good to see mr bailey aka 'the gaffa' rolling about BEYOND FUCKED in his house in the early early hours of the morning. The neighbours complained.
6) Newport's a strange place, but the promoter was a nice guy, treated us well and we met some good people
ETC ETC......

That's it for now, thank you kindly to everyone who has let us sleep on their floor, put us on, bought merch or come accross us this week. We've had a great week.
Bath, Portsmouth and Leeds remain and we're really excited about these shows, they llok really good. Come down! Buy the single from itunes/rough trade, etc...!
until next time,
dan x

woah haven't really used this blog, when have meant to often. Quick update in bullet point form on what the band have been doing- 1-we are currently doing final mixes after re-recording bits for our single which looks set to be put out by Play it again 7(subsidary of PIAS) in Februrary. Double A-side 'Under the sun' and 'Attack!' 2-Booking loads of shows for january/februrary, if you want to book us for a show, myspace us here and I'll put you in touch with our manager Joe- lovely guy. 3-eating turkey, but im getting really into oat cereals like country crisp with strawberries. Not eating enough fruit and vegetables, very rock n roll. 4-writing some new songs when we get a spare second or two 5-wearing cool scarves, hats and winter jackets, check back for photos. 6-Rollo's having a massive new years party in the barn again, we're gunna play early on. Its gunna be rad, come along. so yeah that's what is happening this xmas time, 2006 should be by most approximations quite a big year for us. If we plot the last couple of years on a graph of time against things getting better, we have a nice steady proportional increase as time goes on, bar a few anomolies(illnesses, the month when andy just couldn't play guitar, etc.) SO by law of averages it is almost a dead cert that things are going to get even better for us next year..... Hell, we're excited, I think you should be to. so, have a good christmas, call me up, we'll go for tea, or maybe even some whiskey, it is the festive season after all. take care, dan

I have'nt written anything in my blog space so im going to. I'm dan, I play bass in thousand natural shocks. These blogs will usually be filled with band related subjects/boasts about various levels of success. e.g. 'new reviews', 'band plans', and yeah yawn yawn. No-but for now i have none of that that is new so im not going to post about it. Instead ive outlined what future blogs are going to be- i feel it's good to be ordered and organised about things once in while, don't you? Seeing as people in bands like us are almost never like that. The ones that are usually are the successful ones though. All these new 'rock so hard, drink hard, smoke crack' bands who appear like they really don't give a fuck in actual fact usually do, because in order to get anywhere usually you gotta be really organised, committed and send off stuff everyday and follow it up and the inevitable hard work that follows. Pisstake isn't it, so that why we should all be organised, this is what it's going to be a series of ordered blogs keeping people updated, with absolutely no soul at all. Okay.....so stay tuned.
