We're hard at work for you as usual here in New Orleans. Making tracks for you, writing songs for you, thinking about you thinking about us thinking about you. We promise not to make musical decisions based on financial insecurity. We promise to make you. If Misty can hook it up, some of our music will be in an upcoming zombie short. Short zombies... that's all of us. As the great Ivan Stang once said, "Us and all our freinds are so fucked up... so lets sit back and enjoy eternity." Anyway, TV land, give me some money. That's right, pennies or hundred dollar bills, I don't give a fuck. You can buy our records at cdbaby.com, or at the Louisiana Music Factory. The new records are coming out in the coming months. We're here. We're real. We're brave enough to make our own shit, hoping that you will too. The tevolution will not be relevised. Goodbye. I guess I'll be seeing you all in a couple of years...

We went to Chicago on December 7th to play some shows. First show was with the Tomorrow Music Orchestra. Ears&Eyes festival. This was a version of the band that included a 20-piece orchestra with improvisational capabilities. We also did a live radio spot on WNUR with this incarnation. Great musicians and great feelings on stage... Shared the bill with several other fantastic bands, including The Leaves, Phillip Morris, Nuclear Biologist Rocket Surgeons, James Baker, and Daydream Full Lifestyles. Large amounts of visual artists everywhere as well, some improvising, and some presenting completed pieces. Plus I got enough money to pay off a $150 dollar open container ticket that I got in Chicago earlier in the year while playing a show at Silvie's. Then, several days of recording. In Golombisky's house and in Jimbo's hotel room. Six new tracks for our fourth record, "Holiday for Vacationers." We're working hard for you (as we speak) in Big Brown to get those and other tracks done. Titles include, "Jerry Lee Lewis the Video Game", "Vis A Vis", "The Business of Losing Sleep", and "Where This Is." Matthew has a nice Hammond Organ. We recorded it a lot. Did a coffee shop gig in there somewhere that week. Lizzie threw a surprise birthday party for Quin. Next morning, we go and do a radio spot on WNUR. This is our second week there in a row, but this time we don't have TMO. Later that night, we have our "cd release" at the Ice Factory. This was a fucking great night. Fingers and Toes played before us and sounded excellent and had a great vibe. We played really late and really loud and got very "altered." Found a different mind, so to speak. Did an inspired version of Satan is Real. Dancing, screaming, herb smoking on stage with audience members. Laughter. Police arriving because of noise complaints (first ever at the Ice Factory after six years of hardcore bands) that we played right through. Why didn't we get arrested? I still don't know... A fast, blurry, pillar of congealing, oozing air molecules in a highly excited state as they simultaneously exist at several different points in the universe. Sweat. We came home the next day. Chicago: we love you and we will be back if you'll have us. The last time we played in that town, someone died outside of our gig at the Empty Bottle. This time we conjured love, not death. Luck of the draw. Buy the new record. Look for "The Other Planets Top Ten All Time Greatest Chart-Topping Classing ..1 Hit Singles Collection." Also look for "Holiday for Vacationers." Keep your fingers out of the blender. Don't watch the Dr. Phil show. Do something.
"It's after the end of the world! Don't you know that yet?"

Alright, Eightballs in Anglola is getting pressed as we speak. I'll have 'em in my hands on December 15th. CD release party number 1 will be in Chicago, Illinois at the Ice Factory. Number 2 will be in New Orleans at The Republic on December 20. Sneak peak at our gig at King Bolden's on the 19th. Notice how this album was originally an EP. We only sold a few. It never became the LP "Rock And Roll Ain't Easy." That is a song from the Eightballs LP. Also, notice how cocky I was in my march blog about how it would be out in a couple of weeks. Wow. We ended up working on it through september and actually finished it in November.
