Rich Experience @ Jackhammer, Friday March 6
Hey Everybody,
This Friday I'll be a special guest at the "Flesh Hungry Dog Show" at the Jackhammer Bar. I'll be doing a short set in between bands and should perform early.
I went to the "Flesh Hungry Dog Show" last month and it was a blast. Jackhammer is an alternative lifestyle bar catering to all forms of sexual preferences. There is no sign out front its at the corner of Clark and Devon.
This month's show has a ZOMBIE theme. Feel free to show up in your worst deadware. See details below from Gary the host.
Greetings Flesh Hungry Dog Show Fans,
March is a dreary month. It's not quite winter, it's not quite spring. The trees are bare, and there's just a mess of dirt and garbage left everwhere after the snow melts. March is a most unattractive month. It's in the gloomy spirit of March that The Flesh Hungry Dog Show presents, ZOMBIE-A-GO-GO!
In cooperation with friends from The Chicago Horror Society, “Zombie-A-Go-Go” will feature zombie themed live music sets by Loto Ball Show, The Balkaners, and Yesterday’s Lies. All attendees are invited to dress in their favorite zombie garb, and prizes will be given for best costumes. The show also features special guest performers from Ms. Bea Haven and, Rich Experience. DJ Sky spins between the bands, and Chicago rock impresario Gary Airedale hosts.
We also just finished booking our 4 Year
Anniversary Show (April 3rd), with some awesome, fun talent. See the article below to see who's playing. And...along with Ms. Bea Haven of Girlie-Q Burlesque, I'll be checking out new talent for our variety acts on Sunday March 8th. If you're interested in auditioning, check out all the info below.
Love,
Gary Airedale

Loto Ball Show
Loto Ball Show
Loto Ball is best known for his work singing and performing for San Francisco Bay Area death-punk band The Phantom Limbs. After 5 years and 220 performances with The Phantom Limbs, including 3 U.S. tours and 2 European tours, Loto Ball left the band in 2005 to move to Chicago and pursue other ventures. Loto Ball has spent his time in Chicago working with local artists on various projects, including founding an art gallery/music venue (Reversible Eye), collaborating on a 800 foot public mural (Bloomingdale Trail), working as personal masseuse for Mayor Daley, performing with puppets (Scary Toesies), working for as an activist for disability rights and quality of life issues, as well playing trumpet for a 30-person marching band (Mucca Pazza).
Loto Ball created the Loto Ball Show in 2005. It has taken on many forms, such as incorporating absurdist puppet shows, hosting variety shows, and recording the soundtrack for a horror-comedy underground TV series. The Loto Ball Show has now evolved into an energetic rock band that screams out much of the same ferocity as The Phantom Limbs but brings in more variety in mood, more shifts in volume and pace, and more eclectic sounds. It is a driving key-board driven form of No-Wave post-punk with hints of jazz syncopation and Middle-Eastern scales.
The Balkaners
The Balkaners
The Balkaners are a new band out of Chicago . The members include Tim Kelley and Christa Meyer (Puerto Muerto), Jamie Carter (Judson Claiborne) and Jonny Furman (The Cells). The band incorporates elements of punk rock, Brit-pop, and vintage metal to create a truly unique sound. The lead singer, Christa Meyer utilizes her dramatic flair and operatically trained voice to rile up crowds while the rest of the band happily goes along for the ride. The band is currently recording their debut album at Carterco Studio and plan to have it released by late summer.
Yesterday's Lies
Yesterday’s Lies
Yesterday's Lies lineup consists of four women with instruments in one hand, and their hearts in the other. With all original songs in the style of Evanescence meets Veruca Salt, Yesterday’s Lies fill their performances with guts and glory, bring life to their passions, and inspire those who hear and see them. Whether you see them in home town of Peoria , Illinois , or in a big city rock club, Yesterday’s Lies feels that if one of their songs gets stuck in your head, then “mission accomplished.”
