So, we've got a show coming up at the Melody Inn on FRIDAY, July 24 with Goliathon (Indy), Low Boy (NW IN), and Indiana Bandana (Chicago) (featuring members of Rock Star Club).

Yes-- a weekend show with Maravich at the Mel--PBR and loud stuff.

No one knows if Ben will have a beard or not for that show.  I'm betting he won't, but if he starts growing one on Wednesday, it'll be fully grown in by showtime.

We've got a few other shows in the work for the summer, as well as a few demos that should see the light of day sometime soon.  Come see us while you can before Jim (bass) gets surgery on his car-smashed foot, which selfishly will cause a brief 4-8 week hiatus in the fall.

May was a great month in Maravich-land. We had a great time at Moria, a couple fun shows at the Murphy Arts Building (big thanks to Joe and our dudes the Receiver, always great seeing those guys. Those guys are hands down my favorite indie rock band consisting only of brothers). Played an AWESOME show in Kokomo to a ton of crazy, half naked, sweaty kids as well as our friends the Sorely Trying Days and In the Face of War. Great times, hope to get back there soon. Finished up the month with a race day show at our favorite spot, the Melody Inn!

We're working on some demo recording still, hopefully we'll have some new songs and stuff to sell or give out at shows. We're almost out of merch as well, so look for some new cool stuff (stickers, buttons, tshirts, personalized coffee mugs, coin holders) in the next month or so.

Nothing huge on the horizon right now, but as always we'll keep you updated. Actually we'll probably forget and then update the website at the last minute. Either way, keep your eyes peeled!

As always, have the fun kids. And make sure you wait 30 minutes after eating before you go swimming.

Hey people. It's been a long few weeks what with the rain etc. But hey, you get a bunch of new Maravich shows in the next few weeks!

Tonight (4/25) we are playing at Moria (3251 N. Broadway) with Knockdown, Take Manhattan, Das Kapital, and Swan (no, not THE Swans. Swan. not Zwan either.). Should be a badass night, and only five bucks!

On 4/29 we'll be at the Murphy Arts Building with Deceiver and Rhinoceros.

on 5/9 we're having an awesome show with the Receiver (our friends from Colombus, OH), and You Will Die. This is at the Murphy Building in Fountain Square. It's also Ben and Jim's birthday party so bring presents or at least your presence!

We've got some recordings we've been working on the past month that may or may not see the light of day. We'll get them up online as soon as they are ready for public exhibition. Looking for more shows this summer and we'll let you know as they come up.

See you tonight!

Maravich springs eternal! We cannot be stopped!

The shows last month @ the Halloween House and Birdie's were great, we played well and had a good turnout. Hopefully you guys enjoyed them as well. We're back on stage this Thursday (3/19) at the Melody Inn with Antique Scream (Phoenix AZ), and Indy's own We're Not Mexican. We've got a few shows lined up this Spring (April 25 @ Moria, a couple in early May that are in the works...), and are always looking to play. We'll let you know as shows arise.

We're also going to be doing some recording, some new stuff may appear on the website or myspace... we'll see. Definitely looking to have something out this Summer and play a bunch this Summer as well.

Till next time,

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Hopefully you and yours get laid.

On a less exciting note, Maravich will be blowing your eardrums twice in
February. First, Feb 22 we will be at the Halloween House with our dudes Bulletwolf, The Get Wild Five, Men as Trees, and the Reptilian. It is a Sunday, so make sure you buy beer the day before. Gotta love those blue laws.

The next week, on Friday, we'll take the stage for the first time at Birdy's with old friends Blue Sky Goodbye, Youth Guard, and one more. This should be a great show!

We've got some new material, pretty much a whole new set list (we'll still keep some old songs in there though for you guys). We plan on having a new recording up this Spring, and hope for big things this Spring and Summer. So stay tuned.

And, dude, just buy her some goddamn flowers. It's not rocket science.

Happy New Year! So far it has been a good one in the Maravich camp.

In January we got to play at the Halloween House, at the Mel with our
friends Sex Before Marriage and Hospital Garden (from Dayton, OH), and
at the ES Jungle with the newest most kickass band in the city, Stand
And Deliver (ex-About the Fire/Virgil)! All of these shows were a
blast, and it was great seeing you guys out at all of them! We also
were featured in Nuvo, Indianapolismusic.net, and Indy.com. Big thanks
to Nick and all our friends for helping us out with that. All in all it
was a great month.

Upcoming we have a show 2/27 @ Birdy's with Youth Guard, Blue Sky Goodbye, and one other. We are working on some
new material but no definite plans for recording right now. We'll fill
you in on any new shows and any other news when it pops up, but till
then, warp speed Mr. Sulu!

Been a while. We need to update more!

We just played our first show at the Halloween House this past weekend and it was a blast. Great venue, a bit cold, but that tends to happen in December. Thanks to Pat and everyone who helped put on the show. It was great.

We're actually playing our next show there on January 8th. We'll post more details later but it should be fun. We're also playing January 15th at the Melody Inn, perhaps with our dudes SexBeforeMarriage. Look for more Maravich shows in the new year inside and outside of Indy.

The current lineup is really solid, we're in full swing again with Jim. We even have a bunch of new songs that we'll be working into our sets in the coming months. In a perfect world we'd have a demo done in the near future and start looking at having a real release, but.... we'll see.

Till then, have a great holiday. We are having the annual Maravich Music-a-thon to help disadvantaged musicians. Please send musical equipment to the Maravich practice space, we are in special need this year of Marshall 4x12 cabs and maybe a Mesa or Hiwatt head? Also more Ampeg gear for bass, and new cymbals and drum heads are always necessary. Also, if you can find it in your heart, a '72 Tele Deluxe or Gibson L6S are big ticket items, for the kids of course. Remember if you don't give us, I mean the children, these instruments you hate the baby Jesus.

Have a great Holiday season! See you next year.

Man. How awesome was that roller derby after party? Thanks to the Circle City Socialites for asking us to play. The Dockers and Bulletwolf were killer, and then to have Green fucking Jello (yes that Green Jello) come in and end the night was just unbelievable.

Tonight we have a show at the Casa Del Kotex in the Irv. If you don't know where it is, shoot us an e-mail. Should be a blast. We're playing with Denogginizer, Necropharmicon, and Sleep Bringer. So bring earplugs, and wear your rock shoes.

Other than that, we're writing a bunch of new stuff. We hadn't really had an opportunity to since all the craziness with Jim, so it's great to get back into writing etc. Hopefully in the next month or two we'll demo a few new songs. Probably get them up here and on the myspace for you guys to check out.

Maravich is(are?) back this weekend! 9/20, Saturday, we will return to our favorite haunt at the 1511. We're psyched to get back on stage with Impure Jazz. Last time we played with them they blew most of our minds. This time we'll wear helmets. Richard Cranium will bring the rock as well. I believe there is another band on this.... Either way, it should be a party as usual @1511. Make a point to show up.

Next week we get to help celebrate the new Indy Rollerderby team. The Circle City Socialites will be making their debut on 9/27 (next Saturday) @ the rink at Ellenberger Park. After the bout, head over to Zanie's Too to see us, our dudes Bulletwolf, and the Dockers party. Beer will be drunken, bruises will be formed, eardrums will be blown. After that, we need to get our demo nailed down and work on new stuff.

These are our only two shows on the docket right now, so make sure to make it out!

About damn time, we know. Jim is mostly healed up, we all have working equipment, and we've actually been practicing! During the time off we've worked up some new stuff, none of it is for public comsumption yet. It still needs to be tested on our dogs and roommates.

IF, for whatever reason, you have been dying to hear Maravich the past few months, you are in luck! This Friday, the eigth, we'll be back on stage at Local's Only. Our friends Virgil and Lafcadio were going to join us, but they have both dropped off for various reasons (RIP Virgil). Anywho... it's pretty much just us I think. And some bellydancers. Or something. Anyway, an evening with Maravich, good beer, and a nice venue. This Friday.

We have some other stuff coming up in September and hopefully even more in October. So keep your eyes opened. New merch, stickers, buttons coming too.....
