We've been busy spreading Adwordly goodness around the world, but every once and a while we run into somebody we can't help because their product or service is not allowed in Adwords. This week my company, Systems & Marketing Solutions, was upgraded to an Adwords Qualified Company. Basically both Bob and myself have passed the Adwords Professional test, spend way more than the minimum quarterly adspend, and have been managing Adwords for a long time. There's not very many qualified companies out there so we are excited to hold the distinction!

Hey Everybody,

Despite my busy schedule (it's fair to say I've been busy) I managed to find some inspiration for a blog post over at smsrd.com. It's called "Expanded Broad Match Speaks German Now Too? Scheiße!" I've been finding foreign language queries in my Search Query Reports, first in German than in French. So far they are correct in their translation, but I'm a little concerned this could get out of hand. At least being multilingual will come in handy.

Hey Everybody-

We’ve been super busy here at the office with new accounts and the expansion of existing accounts, so it’s the good kind of busy!

I did get a chance to sneak in a blog article about Reputation Management on my Adwords Monster Blog. It also got picked up by the YPP Human Resources Blog which I think is pretty cool. I think I’m going to do a whole series of Reputation Management pieces in the future so keep an eye out!

I’ve been invited to talk at Cal Poly this Tuesday about Social Networking. I’m pretty excited about it. Ever since speaking at SLOCAMA I’ve gotten a lot of requests to present on various Social Media topics. I’m busy modifying my presentation for the class and I’ll post it online once I’m done with it.

In the meantime I wrote a piece on Online Reputation Management that’s on my blog and is going to be featured on the Your People Professionals blog pretty soon here.

Just a follow up to last week's SLOCAMA meeting where I got to talk to the group about Social Networking...

It was my first local solo headlining gig as it were, and I think the talk went pretty well. It looked like we had 30 to 40 folks in the room, and I got a lot of good feedback after the meeting and in my e-mail the next morning. Plus I got the chance to field a lot of questions which was cool. I only had 30 minutes scheduled but I could have probably talked for a couple of hours because there is so much to cover! It's kind of goofy, but I like the idea... Squidoo, who I've become a fan of, has introduced a new site where you can basically start arguments on purpose with the intenet in general. It's called www.HeyMonkeyBrain.com and it's in all honesty a lot of fun. This launched last week and  I set up my own argument on the merits of PPC vs. SEO, I figured it was the kind of topic that elicits heated reactions from pretty much any Internet Marketer. Next Tuesday I am going to be giving a talk on the use of Social Networking for SLOCAMA, the San Luis Obispo Creative and Marketing Alliance. SLOCAMA is very cool and laid back for a trade group and my favorite meeting of the month.

I'm going to break down the concept of Social Networking, talk about the finer points of some of the bigger networks, show ways to leverage these sites for your business, and take questions from the audience.

In preparation for the meeting to have a way for everybody to get involved I have set up some Social Networking groups and profiles just for SLOCAMA and its members
