In a fortunate turn of events, Ley Lines woos recently established Portlander Adam Traschel for bass duties finally cementing their live line-up for the support of their debut album "The Somnific Era." After months of grueling try outs the unlikely gents decided to up the stakes of their open-ended tri-county search with a $20 sign on bonus: "This cheddar really shows our level of commitment to bringing in the absolute best player possible," remarked drummer Nick Krieger. Classically trained Adam Traschel graciously accepted the fellas invitation to join the band, quipping, "I can only hope that the recently deflated U.S. dollar will regain its confidently poised August 2006 buying power allowing for the purchase of a vespa moped. -NY Times

We are looking for a bassist/strong vocalist to support our brand new album, "The Somnific Era". We are currently replacing a good friend whom we recruited for bass composition. By definition we need an individual who can play a scripted set, but is talented and ambitious enough to take this project to the next phase. We are approaching a point of professionality and need a musician whose willing and capable of making music their life and travel the country.
We want a fun interesting, and stylish member to involve in our mix. We want to meet you. Please contact us.

Current mood: excited
We are motherfucking done with the record!!!!! Hooray, Hooray!
We are super happy to announce the recording, mixing, and mastering of our new full length record, The Somnific Era, is completely finished.
Over the last 5 months we have worked so hard to make this record as amazing as we can imagine. We were able to work with Recording Engineers, Kendra Lynn, and Yascha Noonberg, Mixing Engineer Jordan Richter, and Mastering Engineer Jeff Stuart Saltzman. This record was created in Jackpot Recording Studio, our basement home studio, Starfish Studios, Jordan's home studio, Supernatural Sound, and Superdigital!!! All of these places were amazing.
Now we are making the album artwork and liner notes, and will be sending the whole thing off to the manufacturer very soon. The release party is still TBA, but we know it will be in February, and we know it will be fucking rad. We will surely keep you posted on the details.
Love, Ley Lines

After still-born attempts with other musicians, the shaken but undeterred trio had the good sense to turn a professional pal into a bass boon. Cameron Jones (Thingy, Physics, Pinback,Tic Code , and most recently Simpl) magnanimously accepted the task of writing and recording for the yet untitled 2007 full-length release. Check out his website for a more comprehensive listing of his current musical endeavors.

Recently the gents had the good fortune of meeting and befriending the charmingly incorrigible Aubrey Edwards. She skillfully led the trio through the paces of an impromptu photo shoot providing a fresh litter of captured memories and visages. The lads give props and much thanks to an ultra-talent spitfire. Respect.
