Just a thought... As many of you know, I love great bands like the Beatles and Keith Urban, but sometimes celebrities like them charge $200 for tickets and it costs anoter arm and leg to get something to drink while you're at the concert. So, I reccomend seeing smaller artists... they're usually just as good and so much easier to see. Now I understand that many of you have busy schedules so you can't go to LA every night to see "the next big thing." Fear not, KZLA has "Class of 2006" (or whatever the year is) concerts twice a year that feature new and talented artists. My daughter recently introduced me to these concerts and wow, they are amazing!! She got to meet artists like John Corbett, Michelle Branch, and The Lost Trailers (her new favorite) at the last one and has previously met Jason Aldean and even Shooter Jennings! They're usually in January and in June, and there is a meet and greet beforehand with the artists where you get autographs and pictures, too! So, my advice, go see these concerts... $20 well spent!!

Any comments about Keith Urban are probably by my daughter, Carol.  Though I agree that he is a fantastic musician and great entertainer, she heard of him first and was the one that got me intersted in his music.  His talent and appeal goes beyond his looks: he's an accomplished banjo player, ganjo player, guitarist, pianist, and is surprisingly good at drums.  I've seen him twice in concert and as long as Carol is alive, I will probably see him a whole lot more. G'day, mate!
