It's a complete new movement. You take a cute chick and put her in a stick shift Saturn. Not an amazing thing, but next to a tricked out car, well, there's a need to give them a run for thier money. One guy actually pulled up next to me at a light and gloated that he won! Hello? Clue phone, I drive a Saturn! Duh you won, completely not the point. Totally makes me laugh and it's way too much fun to me.

Dear alumni and friends,

Less than a week after we all said our goodbyes to the winningest coach in UF's history, we're in the happy position of welcoming him back to The Gator Nation.

I know this has been an emotional rollercoaster ride for Gator fans everywhere. In the end, Billy followed his heart, and his heart is in college basketball and at the University of Florida. It was a hard decision but a courageous one, and I respect him tremendously for that.

So it turns out Thomas Wolfe was wrong -- you can go home again. We're glad you're here, Billy.

Welcome back, Billy! You may have broken my heart, but you can make it up to me by another great season. It's good to have you back.

Dear Alumni and Friends,

If you're like me, it was a something of a bittersweet moment when you heard that head basketball Coach Billy Donovan was leaving the Gators to take over as coach of the Orlando Magic.

But bitter certainly isn't an emotion I feel when I think of Billy. On the contrary, I couldn't be happier for him and the wonderful opportunity he has to coach in the NBA. When I think of what Billy accomplished for the University of Florida during his 11-season tenure, I'm amazed. A 261-103 record. Nine straight 20-win seasons. Nine consecutive NCAA Tournament berths. Three trips to the NCAA Championship game (2000, 2006, 2007).

And of course, there's the icing on the cake: A dream team that chalked up the Gators' first back-to-back NCAA Men's Division I Championships in 2006 and 2007. Billy will leave as UF's winningest coach.

Simply put, he did the job and he did it well. For that, we are grateful.

As Billy moves on to other challenges, we will begin the search for his successor (Notice I didn't say "replacement" – no one will ever replace Billy.) I have complete faith and confidence in Athletic Director Jeremy Foley's ability to scour the country and find yet another terrifically talented and qualified head basketball coach.

Please join me in wishing Billy Donovan and his family the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Go Gators!

Bernie.

That's my brain washing technique for babies. I've perfected this over the last 12 years or so when my Uncle's first child was born. I'm going to surprise them next week. My schedule at worked changed to I have just enough time to go! I'm super excited to see the kids and my family in general. Maybe my brother will even give me his phoe number while I'm there! :-)

In other news, I'm going show crazy! I'm going to see Garrison Keillor tonight and Herbie Hancock next week. Lyle Lovett will be in town in June, along with Joss Stone. I hope to see them, but it's still up in the air. I'd go see Harry, but what's the point without Amy... teasing Amy!

Anyway, life is busy, work, play, trips, music, boys... does it get any better? It does, but at least I'm too busy to think about that! :-)

Oh man what a great week I had. I don't want to go back! Don't you love it when you go visit friends and it feels like home? Home has been a big deal to me lately...

I spent all week just being with my friend, Tara. Nothing special, we went to walmart for crying out loud! OK, we hit the Khols, too, but still. You get the drift. We woke up and sat on the back porch sipping coffee and enjoying the baby. God, can you stand how cute she is!? Such big smiles and laughs! At least most of the time. Then at night we'd fix dinner for Paul and watch tv while holding the baby.

Well Friday my friends took me to Yellowstone for the first time. It was amazing. We saw baby buffalo, elk, white pelicans, and best of all a bear! The bear was super close and we saw him first. A rare feat at Yellowstone. It didn't take long for the other drivers to catch on. Soon enough we created a bear jam! He was fabulous and we totally were freaking out.

We stayed at Old Faithful inn. Rustic even in the best of rooms. We got to watch Old Faithful go off and then we headed to the Teton National Park. Also amazing, but no moose. Our bear mojo wore off. Just beautiful, beautiful snowy mountains. We threw Anna (not literally) in a hiking back pack and she loved the ride! Of course fell right to sleep, but loved it. She was such a trooper on her first long trip!

I'm flying out early tomorrow, well at least traveling to the airport early. I'm nervous I won't make my flight in time! Wish me luck and I can't wait to get my pics developed!

I like them all. It's a good final four, but Blake shoud have gone home and I'm blogging so I can whine about it!

Though, I really don't feel bad for them at this point. They'll all do well and LaKisha will have a great career.

...cause what else is there to do?

J/K not really all that drunk, just having a blast drinking and eating well with some great friends stuck in Idaho Falls. Did I mention their cute baby? I love her! I'm blessed with my fourth baby amongst my closest friends and my friends make good looking babies!

It'll be a great week of chilling out with Tara and then going to yellowstone for the first time at the end of the week. Our big outings will be to walmart, Target and the mall. I'm sure we'll hit the DQ and Baskin Robbins more than once... it was the first stop today!

All in all a great vaca. How could it be bad? It started with surprizing rock stars and ends with loving on a cute baby! I'll bring potatoes home for everyone!

I might be.

It's not hard to find someone to date. There's plenty who'd like to take me out. Not flaunting it, just an observation. What's hard is I find I no longer want to settle. Now, ask me that when a hot guy starts flattering me... I might waiver, but at the end of the day, I'm in want of more.

Define more. More is being with someone and it feels like home. Not perfect, but safe and comfortable because you are yourself. Home because somehow the person you're with suddenly doesn't let you pull any crap. Home because you feel supported, that someone is proud of you and who you've turned out to be. Home.

You can have a great connection with a great number of people, but you don't often find more. Interesting, huh?
