The south west tour was great! thanks to everyone who helped make that happen.

On the 9th Spectratone International starts off the east coast tour for Share This Place.

I will finish that tour with a appearance at Barbes in Brooklyn.

Hi All,
this has been a really exciting year.
The Spectratone project was picked up by Billions booking and K records, and the cd is out now, check the k records website for it.
Our Balkan group was recently in residence at B! Balkan music camp in Oregon as performers and teachers. That same group "Pangeo" (check them out on my space) will relese a CD soon and so will my African Music Band "Sahel". For a preview of the Sahel project listen to the track called "Sahel Guitar" on the player on my page.

The Spectratone project featuring Mirah will tour with a film of stop motion animation by Britta Johnson. That project can be found in Portland this coming weekend at the acclaimed PICA festival TBA (time based art) we will be at the Wonder Ballroom, check the performances section of my "Space"

I will also participate in a Dance program by Gansango Music and Dance at the end of the month here in Seattle. It will include an international cast of dancers. Etienne Cakpo of Benin will be coreographing and I will be featured on Kora and percussion for the performance. Updates can be found on the performances section of my page.

this winter will find an "unplugged" version of my electric band "Sahel" in New Mexico for some gigs, lectures, and dance workshops by Etienne Cakpo from Benin, west Africa who will also be backing me on percussion for the musical performances.

Hi people,
I also have an extended video of a version of Sunjata that i did on the last southwestern tour. Just check the video section to see it. Looking forward to see what you think. Oud stuff is coming up soon but since I can only upload 4 tracks on my page i am thinking about getting a separate space for the Oud projects.
