February 24, 2009 - Tuesday
Hey everyone,

I just wanted to pass on that I am writing a new music column for Examiner.com
a national arts, culture and lifestyle website.  I will be writing on a
variety of topics from live music around the country to editorials,
reviews and interviews with artists of all genres.  The focus will be
on finding great new music... but to be honest, it could go almost
anywhere.

Please check out the link below. I
will be posting 1 or 2 more articles in the next week so please check
back frequently and  subscribe to receive updates when I post new
pieces.

This
web-site is all about readership, so the more folks that check out my
articles the better.  Please send along this link to anyone you think
may be interested and tell them to please pass it on as well.

Lastly,
if there is something you think I should write about, a new artist,
concert or related topic please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for all your support,
J. Hayes

Just wrapped up packaging on a previously unreleased Vince Guaraldi record produced by his son David Guaraldi and released on Vince's own D&D Records.

Vince passed away in 1976 but this music was recorded just 2 years prior to his death and it truly some of his best work. David and I are so excited about sharing this project with the world.

The 2 DISC SET will be available for the holiday season with planned release for early November when everyone starts getting in the mood to hear those great Guaraldi tunes.

So save your pennies and be sure to pick it up as soon as it's available... we'll have it on iTunes, CDBaby, directly from www.vinceguaraldi.com and in a variety of retail locations so it won't be hard to find.

I'll be sure to keep you updated when the Vince Guaraldi Trio: Live On The Air becomes available.

Til Then All The Best,
J Hayes

P.S. I had the great fortune to write the liner notes for the record, showing my sincere love of Vince's music... so please pick up a copy and enjoy!

Just wrapped up work on the first independent release by Tyka Nelson. Tyka is the sister of PRINCE and has 2 highly-sought-after previous major label releases.

This is Tyka's first Gospel record and is truly innovative, combining sounds that hint at Outkast, P-Funk and classic era Prince with a spiritual message and a sound that is mos' def' her own.

We'll have more info as the project becomes available, but in the meantime...Check out Tyka in our top friends!

Tyka works with the fantastic Ursula Love and Moneypenny PA & Liason. Ursula works with Prince, Annie Lennox and a host of others including the one and only Chaka Khan (let's hope we get that gig!)... Anyway check out Ursula at www.moneypennypaliason.com
