So the release of our debut e.p is getting ever closer, the record hits HMV/Online stores etc 14th December, so make sure you all pick yourselves up a copy! Its the result of two years of hard work, touring, fall outs, fist fights and passion and we are all extremely proud of it. As we get ready to promote the shit out of this record and show you what we're made of, we welcome aboard our new drummer Jason Naylor. We have all played with Jason's old bands at some point in time in previous projects, and he is the safest guy and tighest drummer we could have asked for so we are all super stoked to have him on board Tell It To The Marines. We now have two E.P release shows booked which will be Jason's first shows with us. The first of which is 21st December in our home town of Bury St Edmunds, this show is with our old friends This Is Colour as well as our new friends Protect The Target, This Sudden Injury and Underline The Sky - this show is going to be insane.

Hello Myspacers, the few of you who are left :( Hows everyone doing?. Today, we released our single 'fireworks' onto a series of stores, buy it from itunes today!! Our debut single Fireworks is out now! It's available to buy from iTunes for only 79p a track.
Cambridge 5-piece set big expectations with ‘Fireworks’, a 3 and half minute gem of indie pop-punk goodness. - 4/5, Alter The Press
a solid effort from a band that seems to have the ambition to go quite far. - 7/10, DieShellsuitDie
Good, honest, solid rock with an atmosphere and emotion pushed through the lyrics. - 3/5 - Crowdsurfer
we're streaming it from our myspace for good will so if you like it than go ahead and please buy it!
A video made by a good friend of ours Adam Powell (BMTH, Jamie T, Architects, King Blues) will be up very soon. it's an amazing video, in my opinion, some of his best work (im not being bias here!).
Thank you all very very much if you did buy it, it means alot.

New Drummer for Tell it to the Marines needed;.
Now, i've never really had to write this sort of thing before, but as the title suggests, we are indeed looking for a new drummer.
As some of you may of known our old drummer Luke left, and was replaced by 'We found the Fox's drummer Wilkes.
Basically, long story short, Wilkes couldn't really handle 2 bands and WFTF was always first in his eyes.
He done us a HUGE favour for tour & gigs lately & we are really grateful for his help, but now we are looking for a drummer who would put all there energy and passion into our band.
If you think you tick all these boxes (below) then please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
We practise in the town Bury St. Edmunds. You must be able to get there, without fail, for 7pm every Tuesday night.
It'd be really convinient if you lived near by, Dan & Me (when im not at university in portsmouth) live in Newmarket, so we get the Cambridge - Bury line, so anyone along there or near there = perfect.
Alternatively, if you drive that'd also be so nice.
We need someone with a healthy, passionate attitude. One which is open to criticism and someone who is 100% commited. Who will do there best to attend tours we will be going on & one off shows.
You dont need to be directly influenced by anything, just an open mind & a love for the music we play as a band. If you dont have that, it's pretty much pointless.
As you may have read, we are releasing a cd so im sure things will start getting more hectic with shows etc. So you must be ready for this.
If you think your compatible, message us on here giving us a short bio of yourself, were you live, influences, years of playing etc.
We will after this, need some sort of proof of your drumming ability, so a video on youtube or mp3 recording would be 'licious - if you have proof in any other band that'd also be perfect.
Anyways, good luck, our future drummer may be reading this. Please, please, please give it a go.
Thanks for reading! Good luck!

So Yeah, we've put up the title track 'Bridges' off our upcoming EP on the page.
Please tell us what you think, it's quite different to any thing we've ever done but we're proud of it none the less.
We have taken down 'Fireworks' as we are releasing it as a single. If you liked it & want to buy it than it will be released in October on All aboard records digitally, the dates are on our page!
I've put up some lyrics (below) so that you can read into the song a bit more if you wanted to;
There's a pack of cards sitting on my shelf, they're collecting dust when they should be gaining wealth, and the queen who sits, her throne gone to rags takes off her crown and says; "your no son of mine, your no son of mine" she says. And i hang my head, i hang my head at what i did.
"your no son of mine".
Photographs & awkward footpaths lead me to were i want to go, and all i see are reds and blues, reds and blues yellows and greens.
It's my last right & theres nothing to say, except to moan about my days.
And when God asks me my favourite time, i'll shield my eyes and i will say.
"your no friend of mine, your no friend of mine" i'll say. "now hang your head, now hang your head and pray".
"your no friend of mine".
Photographs & awkward footpaths lead me to were i want to go,
and all i see are reds and blues,
reds and blues yellows and greens.
(wo-oh-oh-oh-oh)
"your no friend of mine" she says.
& i'll hang my head.
(wo-oh-oh-oh-oh).
I hope you like it. x

Hello!
As some of you may of seen, we have decided to team up with the fantastic 'All Aboard Records' for the release of our upcoming single 'flareguns' & our debut ep 'bridges'.
After talking to many great labels we finally settled on A.A records.
I'm not going to go into much depth about our ethics as a band, just we felt it was the right label to go with at this point in time of our 'careers'.
They're diy attitude has alot of echoes of labels i grew up loving, and it is an absolute pleasure to be working with them.
Some dates will be up soon, but expect a single, a ep & a very nice music video being made from a very good talented friend of mine.
Thanks! Go check 'em out in our top friends.

"Tell
it to the Marines are a 5 piece pop punk/ambient band from the East
coast of England who claim to have been influenced by only playing
hometown shows in Bury St Edmonds. There's distinct Brand New-isms on
this five-tracker, not directly, but certainly in terms of influence.
There are choppy drums and dreamy, atmospheric guitar riffs and, in
places anyway, this is pretty good stuff. The five songs all have
highlights and there's not one bad track. 'Flare Guns' is a particular
highlight, as is 'Fireworks'.
My only issue is that the songs are often too long and could do with
50-60 seconds shaving off them; the band try and mix the ambient with
the melodic and while that works in places, at times it makes the
tracks drag on - 'Flare Guns' could easily be a wonderful pop song with
atmospheric bits, but it drags. The instrumental bit 3 and a half
minutes in could be ditched to tighten it up - maybe it's just me but I
think if the band ditched the overblown musical bits they'd sound
better for it.
The band claim to be speaking to labels about releasing this EP and
that wouldn't surprise me. TITTM clearly have talent in abundance and
that's showcased on this record. For me it's not consistent enough and
needs refining if the band are to take it to the next level. But for a
first record, this is good stuff and well worth a listen." If punktastic like it you might like to you no?. It's coming.

Hello there!,
Another little update for all of your pretty little eyes to see;
After being away - & not reaaaally getting much chance to play our hometown shows due to tour commitments, we have decided that to end this summer we are going to play all of our hometowns so that everyone who missed us on the 3 tours we did this year can come see us before the release of our new e.p.
It's going to be so much fun playing to all of our friends & the fans we have in each hometown & we're really looking forward to seeing you all. We will have some singles on sale & perhaps some makeshift tee shirts - so please keep your eyes peeled if you do happen to come to one.
Right So!.
Firstly, mine (timis) & dan's hometown of NEWMARKET will spark our little hometown shindigs. This venue is a part of our history & it's gonna be such a pleasure to play it again. John & me started promoting local gigs here at the age of 10/11 and carried on for years. We saw hundreds of bands play & it has inspired us to be who we are today. Please, if your around Newmarket area, come along and see us.
NEWMARKET PALOMINO - 26th AUGUST w/ James Page! (£3 on the door wristbands)
Secondly, we are playing the fantastic venue 'The Junction' in the lovely town of Cambridge. We truly do see Cambridge as the bands hometown, perhaps due to the history of gigs we have played there and our beautiful ex-guitarist Chris. Not only this, but it is also our new drummer Christian's hometown! We are headlining this show (i really dont no why, i think tellison wanted an earlier slot) so please please please stick around and watch us. Should be an AMAZING show!.
CAMBRIDGE JUNCTION - 4TH SEPTEMBER w/ Tellison, James Page & We found the fox! (£5 - http://www.wegottickets.com/event/52837)
Thirdly, we are headlining this years UV bury show at the infamous Bury St Edmunds corn exchange. I've heard only good things about this show & we are all really looking forward to playing John & Lewis' hometown. We are supported by one of my idols whilst i was growing up, Seymour Glass & his new band Ten city nation. Alongside them are the beautiful Protect the target, so it should be a good night.
BURY ST. EDMUNDS CORN EXCHANGE - 11TH SEPTEMBER W/ Ten City Nation & Protect the target. (Tickets are £4 from Soundsplus & Bury St Edmunds Bus Station)
And lastly, one of our favourite new places - Camden Barfly. This show is with some new friends of ours & we really really cant wait to see them. Giants are insane & They sink ships are going to be huge, so please come see us!.
CAMDEN BARFLY - 20TH SEPTEMBER W/ GIANTS, They sink ships & Burn so bright. (£6 - http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=337765&interface=barflynew)
I really hope to see you all there! these will be the last shows till December! So make sure you come and see us!
Much love! Keep Believing. Marines.

Hello There! How is everyone doing? On our side, I (Timi) have been swimming in the isle of wight sea's (they are really nice you no), John has been sleeping in awkward beds, Dans been pouring coffees, Lewis has been walking around looking very very dark & handsome & Wilkesy boy has been getting angry at Americans. It's all quite boring really. NOW! We need YOUR help! Basically, Marines are looking for a competent myspace street team! Your job, if you choose to accept it, will entail adding people & spreading the word of our name & our music! Making a lovely looking page promoting everything about us 5 ugly boys. Of course this will be a job which will take some time & effort, but if you do it well we will provide you with the brand spanking new unheard debut ep of ours, including some rare acoustic tracks & our older tracks. The 5 unheard tracks have only been heard by few ears - labels, one reviewer, good friends & some carefully picked bands who are also mates of ours. The acoustic tracks & older tracks are of course no longer with us on this page, but there all yours if you do a good job of this!! Alongside this you will get priviledges to merchandise before there put on sale & perhaps some guestlisting to some shows if your good enough!. if your interested, please message us with the title "STREET TEAMER" & we'll get back to you. Mwah!. Marines. x P.S Go look at our top friends - they're all better than us. By Miles.
