I Believe…
that tomatoes are vegetables that Pluto is still a planet in free choice in evolution by divine spark that it takes longer to drive somewhere than it does to drive back that God has a sense of humor in equality for all in second chances that faith is more important than belief that first impressions aren't always right in love at first sight that people are inherently good until they let their brains or groins get in the way.
Neil Gaiman's "I believe" speech from 'American God's':
I can believe things that are true and I can believe things that aren't true and I can believe things where nobody knows if they're true or not. I can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles and Elvis and Mister Ed. Listen–I believe that people are perfectible, that knowledge is infinite, that the world is run by secret banking cartels and is visited by aliens on a regular basis, nice ones who look like wrinkledy lemurs and bad ones who mutilate cattle and want our water and our women. I believe that the future sucks and I believe that the future rocks and I believe that one day White Buffalo Woman is going to come back and kick everyone's ass. I believe that all men are just overgrown boys with deep problems communicating and that the decline of good sex in America is coincident with the decline in drive-in movie theaters from state to state. I believe that all politicians are unprincipled crooks and I still believe that they are better than the alternative. I believe that California is going to sink into the sea when the big one comes, while Florida is going to dissolve into madness and alligators and toxic waste. I believe that antibacterial soap is destroying our resistance to dirt and disease so that one day we'll all be wiped out by the common cold like the Martians in War of The Worlds. I believe that the greatest poets of the last century were Edith Sitwell and Don Marquis, that jade is dried dragon sperm, and that thousands of years ago in a former life I was a one-armed Siberian shaman. I believe that mankind's destiny lies in the stars. I believe that candy really did taste better when I was a kid, that it's aerodynamically impossible for a bumblebee to fly, that light is a wave and a particle, that there's a cat in a box somewhere who's alive and dead at the same time (although if they don't ever open the box to feed it it'll eventually just be two different kinds of dead), and that there are stars in the universe billions of years older than the universe itself. I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise, and sheer blind luck. I believe that anyone who says that sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too. I believe in absolute honesty and sensible social lies too. I believe in a woman's right to choose, a baby's right to live, that while all human life is sacred there's nothing wrong with the death penalty if you can trust the legal system implicitly, and that no one but a moron would ever trust the legal system. I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it.

A fire started by a nut job practice shooting in Midpines, CA on highway 140 has burned, as of now 18150 acres and five miles of power cable. Power cables that lead to Yosemite Valley. Yesterday the power went out at work leaving all the registers and coolers not working at the deli. When we finally got the generator running it goes and blows a gasket . We now have a back-up generator to our back-up generator!! We were making sandwiches by lantern light and headlamps!!! The employees have no power to take warm showers, do laundry, turn on a light, cellphones, etc....Jessica's (sandwich maker) parents have been evacuated, Dianne (cashier) had to race home to see if she was being evacuated and my roommate Tiffany had to evacuate her family down to Hanford to her and her/her fiance's apartment. In the Valley you can't see Half-dome for the smoke and we've been shipped back to the 1800's!

I was just given someone's heart. Not thinking i played with it and broke it. No amount of scotch tape, or hell even scotch for that matter, can fix this one. I should have been more careful. You think i would have, as mine was broken not too long ago. But I'm new to this world. A world where hearts are traded like baseball cards. Given as gifts. Taken like hostages. Lost like half a pair of socks. Saved like pennies in a piggy bank. And shattered like glass. They break so easily. The tiniest things can break them. A kiss or a wave goodbye. It's amazing that so many people are alive today. But we must go on. If only for the simple fact that someone, some where, some day may need your transplant.

So far it's been a weird ride. First job, first time out of parents house, first roommate, first boyfriend, first paycheck, first everything and all at once. And all in a place where even the most seasoned veteran of the Grill or the Ahwahnee hotel will still stare up at the waterfalls as they wonder to work. Thousands of people come thousands of miles to see this place. To see rocks the size of a city block squared², the fifth tallest waterfall in the whole world, and a National Park that's also a World Heritage site. And those thousand of people have to eat, sleep, buy souvineers, get unlost, and get around somehow. That's where me and my co-workers come in. The crazy bunch of misplaced misfits that work to keep the human side of this park running. The ones that live in those strange green-grey and brown buildings that you won't find on any of your maps. The one's, when off duty, look like the average person on vacation. But if you look closer you'll wonder why we're talking about unions or paychecks as we pass Bridal Vail falls. Or why are we carrying grocery bags of toilet paper, dryer sheets, and tv dinners if we're "staying" at Camp Curry. But of course we're not really the weird ones here. The one's who tried to drive their Toyota Camry down a dirt bike path the other day. Or the guy who asked the bus driver what the Hybrid Diesel shuttle bus runs on despite the fact it says it in big bold letters on both sides (my answer would have been "it runs on the blood of the wicked and tears of the innocent" but hey, i guess telling him the truth works too). Or the family who wanted their 3 Sandwhiches with no tomate, lettece, cheese, mayonaise, or meat, and therefore effectively ordering just a plain wheat bun with nothing else. Now those are the crazies! Yeah we may be the bunch weirdos that live here but we're not the one's getting on the bus headed to the visiter center, which, by the way, you were just standing next to...

Bored and saw that i haven't done a blog on my myspace. That's about the only thing i haven't done on it. I've dect it all out, added pictures, switched the song about a million times and photobucketed it to death. The blogging bit and the video bit are the only thing left and i'm a youtuber so don't expect to see any videos here. So this is it i guess my first myspace blog, and it's not even interesting. I promise i'll do better, next time.
