If you missed the final bout of the 2009 season, you missed some great Derby. Our Rollergirl Regiment defeated the Pushy Posse with a score of 64-59.   
Facing off against the Milwaukee Battlestars, the Paper Dolls faught hard to finish the season undefeated.  The Battlestars, however, emerged victorious with a final score of 129 to 60.

Paper Dolls remain undefeated as they took down the RollerGirl Regiment 96 to 68.

Although they faught a great fight, our Pushy Posse was handed a loss by the Rockford Rage with a final score of 108 to 57.

Our own UNDEFEATED  PAPER DOLLS squeaked by with another win to remain undefeated.  It did'nt come to them easy as the PUSHY POSSE fought hard, tied and then pulled ahead in the second half only to come up short in the end.  END SCORE    Posse 68  Paper Dolls 78  Great Job to our Paper Princesses.
Our brave ROLLERGIRL REGIMENT took on our guest team from Beloit, Wis.  THE STATE LINE DERBY DIVAS.  First, let us say it was great having company and the ladies are FAB.  This bout was non stop fightin for points. The REGIMENT played their hearts out and looked damn good doing it.  But in the end, FINAL SCORE  RollerGirls  64, Stateline 65.  GOOD GAME REGIMENT.

What better way to snap yourself back to normal than the heart and head thumping sounds of a two-bass armed band? Say what!? Yeah, a band with two bass players, a drummer, synth and a whole lot of energy.

Sure its been done before (the Dirtbombs pop into my head first), but Chicago's MR RUSSIA's new wave and punk fusion gives this lineup a bit of a different feel and sound.

And they'll be in Oshkosh Feb. 15 for an in-store performance at downtown's mecca of music, the Exclusive Company, at 3 p.m., to help clear the space between your ears.

The group will also be playing the night before at the Fox Cityz Foxz roller derby bout afterparty at Sluggers in Appleton.

Speaking of the Foxz and ExCo, I just did a story on the Foxz, go check out the photo gallery for a chance to see ExCo manager Kate Cody in action.  So shoplifters beware, Cody is her own store security. Don't say we didn't warn you.
