Current mood:  pissed off
Category: News and Politics

I will start by congradulating Barack Obama for being elected the 44th President of the United States. I voted against him, but by no means will I renounce my patriotism just because I strongly disagree with the majority of his political agenda. Any opposition I have to his legislation will be loyal opposition.

As a matter of fact, this post is partially about loyal opposition, and how I will be using it excessively over the next 2-4 years. Since the 112th Congress will have a Democratic majority, they will have a lot of stupid ideas I don't like... at all. The main outline of this is to tell you all about things we will need to stop from happening for the next 4 years. The first 2 years will be the hardest to fight. The next 2 could be hard, but more than likely not as hard since we will probably see Conservative backlash. I blamed the Socialist 111th Congress for the last 2 years of crap we've been dealing with, and since we're going to have a President in their mold, we can hope the people will see too.

Before I start, don't get me wrong. I hope he is successful as President... why the hell wouldn't I hope so? He's in charge of this country I love; we damn well better be sucessful! But I am also worried that he will not be. One, he's handling a crisis with not very many credentials as a politician. Two, he has a multitude of ideas that I oppose. Here's what we need to stop from happening.

Ratification of the "Freedom of 'Choice' Act"

Provision: Lifting the ban on Partial-Birth Abortion and Federal Funding for Abortions.

Obama stated at the beginning of this year when addressing a Planned Parenthood meeting that the first thing he would do as President would be to sign this Freedom of Infanticide Act... so the first thing we need to do is stop that from happening. Partial-Birth Abortions are done in the third trimester, when the child is fully developed but malnourished. In the procedure, labor is induced, and the baby is partially delivered, then brutally slaughtered. If the woman is going to have postnatal repercussions then there is absolutely no reason that the child should have to die. This disgusting practice is infanticide in every form, and therefore there is no reason for it to become legal again. I think Barack may be able to pass this in the house, but I am confident that the Senate will vote it down, seeing as the ban was supported by 1/3 of all Democrats in the Senate (including Joe Biden).

As of 1976, abortions have not been taxpayer funded, and for no reason should that change. My tax money should not be killing infants while at the same time giving a welfare check to a woman who ran around opening her legs to receive unwrapped dicks. All in all, this act has irresponsibility written all over it, and thankfully there is a good chance that it won't pass.

Tax Hikes into the Middle Class

Plain and simple, the top 5% earners are not going to be able to fund $1 Trillion in additional spending alone, especially on top of our defecit. I don't want any tax hikes at all since they're bad for the economy, but we won't be able to stop the top earners' tax hike. I know (unlike many others) that it's stupid to tax the basis of our economy zealously, but I am hoping that Obama won't break his tax pledge for the middle class.

Increases in Gun Control

I'm very worried about Obama's disrespectful voting record in regards to the 2nd Amendment. I will oppose ANY new Gun laws, but I know the 3 following are on Obama's To Do List:

Part I: Renewal of that simple-minded "Assault Weapons" Ban What a fucking joke! Billy-Bob Clinton pushed this crap law through Congress in 1994. The bill had a 10-year Sunset provision, and thank God that it failed renewal. We can thank the Republican House for that. Every GOP Senator that voted for it is gone now (and good riddance to them). The problem with Gun Control is that criminals are not going to follow these laws anyway, so you may as well give the law abiding citizens the same advantage. Fucking Liberals need to stop telling me what I need and don't need. Don't tell me I don't need an "Assault Weapon"! Respect the 2nd Amendment or GO TO HELL! Wake up and realize that gun control gives criminals the upperhand while taxing the freedoms of the good! Unfortunately, this bill is extremely likely to pass, and chances are someone will push for it.

Part II: Repeal of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act This bill banned lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence. Obama voted against it as a Senator. No way in hell should this be repealed. If a criminal kills one of my relatives with a gun, that is not the gunmaker's fault! I want the criminal to be executed, not the gunmaker! You don't sue Cadillac if some asshole runs over your kid, you get the driver locked up! It wouldn't be a fair lawsuit. Thankfully, this was passed by a wide margin, and they'll have trouble repealing this.

Part III: Banning Gun Shops within 5 Miles of School Districts This would effectively close down and relocate most gun shops in the country. Obama pushed for this to go into national legislation as a state Senator in Illinois, but at the same time, voted against banning video stores within one mile of school districts from selling pornography... what a fucking Partisan! (If you don't believe me, google Karl Rove's speech at the NRA Annual Meeting, or Chris Cox's speech. Go to their Website or YouTube them.) Now personally, I don't mind Porn shops near schools, but back to gun shops: You say this as if schoolchildren can just walk into a gun store and obtain a gun! I'll never understand this bullshit, and hopefully those bureaucrats on the hill won't either.

Pulling Troops out of Iraq before 2011

We should not pull anyone out any sooner than 2011. We need to make sure Iraq's armed forces are able to fight local terrorists on their own before we even think about lowering the number of troops. The Troop Surge we made in 2007 brought down the amount of casualties significantly, and to undo it would be the stupidest war strategy I've ever heard of! These hard-headed Dumbocrats are too proud to admit that the surge actually worked, so they will probably begin phasing out troops whenever Obama pushes for it... good God, you damn liberals! We already have a timeline set! To pull out early would be insane at a fundamental level!

Network Neutrality

Network Neutrality is the principle that all internet traffic should be "treated equally". In short, applying this is a clear infringement on Freedom of the Press and Speech, which Obama and many of his Liberal colleagues want to do: This is nothing but a mild form of the Fairness Doctrine for the Internet:

The Fairness Doctrine was passed in 1949 requiring broadcasters to present controversial topics in an unbiased manner. The FCC abolished it in 1987, and we know that Obama supports its reintroduction. This act is a clear violation of the First Amendment, and I pray that Congress and the Court will recognize this as an assault on the freedom of the press, and of free speech. I know that the bastard Warren Court of the 60s accepted this perversion of Constitutional rights to free speech and free press, but I have a good feeling that Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas can convince a majority of the Court, consisting of at least Chief Justice Roberts and Associate Justices Kennedy and Alito to overturn RLB v. FCC, should Network Neutrality go to the High Courts. Speaking of Supreme Court Justices...

Appointment of any Activist Supreme Court Justices

John Paul Stevens could retire or die any day now (not to mention Ruth Bader Ginsburg is aging at 75). He has been on the Court since 1975. He has an ugly voting record, but to put a new Judge in his spot would be much worse. I saw both Clinton nominees; they have absolutely sickening opinions of the Constitution. The Left Wing seems to be in love with euphamisms and refers to Judicial Activism as the "Living Constitution Ideology". I like Antonin Scalia's responding thought about the ideology: "But you would have to be an idiot to believe that... The Constitution is not a living organism, it is a legal document; it says one thing and does not mean other things!" Only one nominee since 1970 has been rejected from the High Court (ironically, he would make a much better Justice than most of the Court's current members). If they couldn't give Robert Bork a chair, then we don't need to give any of the ACLU or NAACP Judges that Obama may appoint a chair either. More than likely, there will be little opposition... but if those Socialists threw a fit about nominating Clarence Thomas or Samuel Alito, then my Rightist colleagues and I will be ready to shit bullets!

Increasing Funding for Social Security and Medicare

Both of these programs are losing money and are projected to go bankrupt in the next 20 years. The Looney Left thinks that increasing funding for these programs is the solution, but anyone with half a brain and critical invulnerability can tell you how stupid that idea is. Increasing funding will simply delay the problem until it comes up again in probably 10 years. We should try reforming and restricting these programs to serve only people who absolutely need them, but those Pinkos will call us "extremists" if we even talk of doing so. This whackjob idea will probly pass through our castrated Congress.

Banning Smoking in Restaurants and Bars

Right now, this is a State's decision, and the states that have enacted the ban have bars with plummeting businesses. As a non-smoker, this won't effect me personally, but I'm looking at this from an economic prospective: Just face it, if you're a smoker, do you want to go to a bar that denies you from satisfying your nicotine addiction and forces you to stand outside in the dead of winter for 5 minute periods? Hell no! You would much rather buy some handles and go back to your house with your friends. It's an infringement of both personal and business freedoms, not to mention an unecessary infringment of States Rights. We may need to pull a filibuster to stop this one.

Raising the Federal Minimum Wage

Many of you will call me crazy for this, but we should not have raised the minimum wage in 2006. It sounds like a nice idea, and making it a wage suitable for subsistent living sounds like a nice idea too, but all in all, it brings the value of the American dollar down. Just fucking accept it already: You can't raise the bottom of the barrel! You should not be on a minimum wage job unless you are an immigrant or a teenager; both of which should be trying to look at higher paying jobs within the next couple of years anyway! This may require another Filibuster...

Abolition of 3 Strikes Sentencing Laws

I do not sympathize with serial rapists and bank robbers, but Obama and the far Left do. This would be a bad idea for an astronomical number of reasons. For starters, we should not let violent criminals back on the streets, we should not waste money on Government programs that will unsucseccfully attempt to rehabilitate them. Most of all though, the enactment of 3 Strikes is what saved the Democrats from extinction in the 90s. Those idiots Mondale and Dukakis could not win elections in the 80s cause they were whiny, sympathizing bitches on their criminal policies. Clinton reformed their party by supporting tough sentencing and the death penalty. People don't want wimps in office, and if they try to repeal this (which is unlikely), they will ensure a new Republican Revolution in 2010 or 2012.

Repealing "No Child Left Behind"

While it would be okay to repeal this, we should not do so until we take the Federal Government completely out of public education. Education should be regulated at the State level. Get those Fed bastards out of our schools!

Defunding "Star Wars" Missile Defense

During his campaign, I saw a commercial early in the year where he expressed his support in defunding SDI, considering it to be "Wasteful spending" and "unproven", anyone with a brain and/or a set of balls knows that both of those statements are absolute bullshit. I am hoping such a radical position will not get passed.

Renegotiation of NAFTA

NAFTA has been helping our economy and our country as a whole since December 1992. To renegotiate NAFTA would be an obvious pander to union members and would toll our economy, our relationship with Canada and Mexico, and the economies of our subjected trading partners. Hopefully we can stop this renegotiation.

That concludes the key potential legislation that we will need to fight over the next four years. Now, since 2001, I have seen bumper stickers saying "You don't have to like Bush to love America". Well, as for me, I like Bush and love America. I hope this will serve as a lesson for us until 2012 that we don't have to like these Marxists to love country, because we know damn well that we will ALWAYS be better than any other one in the world. I urge all of you to not abandon your patriotism by continuing to Love America and to fight the Liberal anti-Capitalist movement. God Bless Us and God Help Us Preserve Ourselves!

I havn't written anything political in a few months. I would've written after the Conventions, but I was on vacation when they happened and I wasn't exactly in the best mental health when I got back. I've been doing better lately, and now the debates are in season.

I'm sure many of you watched the debate last night. Since it is about Foreign Policy and the Economy, the latter being extremely important in the last week (I will be writing an article about that in the next few days).

The deabte went along pretty standard in my eyes. Nothing suprising happened: One Republican who talks about cutting taxes and the Democrat talks about the economy like a socialist and badmouths the free market. John McCain badmouthed our government's wasteful spending and Barack Obama badmouthed McCain's support for tax cuts. Now, neither of thse men are as Conservative on the economy as I am: I personally think we should replace the Income Tax with a National Sales Tax (my reasoning will be detailed more in the next article). Obama wants  to raise taxes on the rich (and looking at his spending plan, he might later decide to inclue the middle class as part of the rich) and McCain wants to cut taxes across the board. I like McCain's idea better, seeing as what the liberals call "progressive" taxes create class warfare; and because McCain is not as much of a spender as Bush is, spending cuts will be encouraged more with tax cuts in place. Oh, and not to mention, I noticed Obama trying to interrupt McCain quite a bit on the subject.

When Health Care was brought up, well, similar story. Obama once again showed up his expensive plan to put the federal govenment between my doctor and I. This also involved Obama bashing the free market.

After that, they focused more on Foreign Policy. McCain simply said "I was right: The surge worked" followed by Obama saying "I was right: We shouldn't have gone in". In my eyes, Obama actually does have somewhat of a point. I am angry that we got information from the CIA that Iraq had WMDs. However, I know numerous politicians (including Democrats) who wanted to remove Saddam before the war on terror began. That was in the late 90s, and we were suspicious of his activity then.

Due to my pro-interventionalism ideology, that would make me support an overthrow Saddam and install democracy in Iraq, but I can also understand thinking the invasion was a bad idea. The troop surge in 2007, however, was undisputedly successful; we have lowered the amount of violence significantly and the region is gaining stability. The question of going there in the first place, however, remains an ideological battle.

Overall, I think McCain carried the torch in that debate. I noticed more interruptions and stutters from Obama overall (although McCain had his moments). I saw McCain pull ahead, but not overwhelmingly.

Next up on Thursday are the VP Debates. I can't wait to watch Sarah Palin own Joe Biden in that contest.

Man, this weekend was bitchin!

Friday

It was good having a chill day at school, I didn't even get work in AP Gov, we were just in the computer lab. I was pissed off during 3rd period, but that's a story for my next blog. I also met up with Amy at lunch! More on that later tho...

I got home and just chilled out, talked to Amy on the phone 4 awhile, then Chuck and James came over and party time began! We met up with Tim and Zach at the Alphabet store and we went to Dawn's house. We got pizza and immediately commenced the drinking therafter.

We started playing Rockband. I started singing but cause of my cold, I blew my voice out after one song and went right to guitar.

Tim and I were the first ones to puke... then again, we also pounded booze in early. By the first hour we had at least 10 drinks. I projectile vomited in the yard about 3 times, but that just told me all my alcohol was gone so I immediately took more shots. lol. Tim, on the other hand, did something I have never seen anyone do. That fatass puked for 20 minutes, passed out on the couch, woke up 3 hours later and started drinking again! Wow dude, total fuckin props. Zach played it more conservative than we did, that's y he didn't upchuck (no pun intended for my cousin).

While Tim was out cold, we made Rockband music videos. I didn't do much tho, I just looked like a stoned bass player. I put on one bitchin solo for Welcome home tho.

Tim woke uparound 3 and took my place cause I was so gone by then. As my cousin said, I was gone with the wind lol. The around 5 we were all hangin out in the kitchen just talkin about shit.

Saturday

Next thing I remember, I was downstairs on the couch and it was bright outside. Dawn made us some awesome pancakes and we were out by 2.

Around 7, Amy came over and we headed to the mall. We went and saw My Best Friend's Girl, dude that movie was fuckin hilarious, u gotta go see it. Pretty soon we started kissing and I eventually decided to ask her if she wanted to make this a regular thing, so now were dating!  It was one good nite!

Today

I went with Sarah to her church. I like it there, they were a fun group of people.

I got home at 1 and the Redskins Game was starting. At halftime I headed over to Amy's house and we spent the whole day together <3. We watched the last half of the game, Skins won!!! Now Kevin owes me $25 more than he already does! Then we watched one of the Saw movies, then just hung out for awhile, then we had dinner and I went home afterwards.

I just met Amy earlier this week, and wow this girl is incredible. She's alotta fun to talk to, alotta fun in general, and she's really sweet too. She makes me feel really good about myself, but she seems to think I'm too good for her. I'll never understand y, cause she's wonderful, and I'm really excited to see where this relationship is gonna go.

I Love You Amy <333

Current mood:  gloomy
Category: Life

It's August 23rd.

Today, I worked out, went to a family reunion and packed things for a trip I'm taking with a friend and his family tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hyped about the trip.

But I remember today... Today was supposed to be something else

And for a number of months I was sure of it.

Today took me back in time... back one whole year, to be exact, this day last year.

It was the beginning of what would become more significant to me than any bond I had ever faced before.

Things were great, right from the start.

Love happened early... and less than 2 months later, we said we were in love with each other.

I knew she felt that way, right after Homecoming. She said she wanted to be with me for the rest of her life... and said and did everything to reinforce that opinion for 5 months following.

I only had one problem that entire time... the way I was talked to when we fought. I still talked to her in a way that wasn't even disrespectful; she would still say some caloused shit. I knew she didn't mean it, cause I knew that she was a completely different (meaning irrational) person when we fought. Nevertheless, it bothered me.

By month 5 or so, I was sick of it. Then, I decided to defend myself when we fought. Then she sure kicked shit up a notch. Not only that, but whenever we had a fight (most of them could've been avoided, but she seemed to take offense to everything), she would do nothing to try and make the situation better, and I had to repair it all virtually on my own, and exceptions were rare. It did pay off though; I remember one time when I asked her to tell me why she loved me so much, and there was one reason she had: "You put up with my bitchiness when we fight... most other guys would probably just walk out after the things I say."

Then, there was one time when I said something hurtful, to the same calibur like things she said when she wanted to spew venom. Instead of getting the forgiveness that I always gave her, I didn't get that... things were never the same.

At that point, she said that she didn't wanna talk about having a future anymore (a sure sign to break it off... but I didn't). She completely changed, and I barely even recognize her anymore. Things never picked back up to what they were, and I got a whole bunch of signs that will tell me in any future relationship to duck and run.

I can think of so many things that went wrong... most of which being her fault, although I won't deny I made some regretful mistakes along the way.

She treated me like crap... but for some reason...

I still miss her...

Today was supposed to be the best day of our lives so far. Even though it ended months ago, I still remember it...

I remember watching her change, and it taught me an unfortunate lesson: Anyone can make a promise and back down later.

Now, I'm afraid to trust anyone again like that. Instead of trying to find that life with someone else, I spent one summer running around, keeping myself occupied any way I could, most often by drinking, being with a close friend, and sometimes work (but work made things worse whenever certain songs came on the radio).

I believed herr promise. And whenever I talked to anyone about us, I'd hear them say "Do you honestly think it's forever? Trust me, everything will change in a quick amount of time". I just saw them as skeptics, and took them for people who didn't have a clue about us. I believed those poems, and all those promises... none of that stopped her from changing.

And I'm beyond convinced that anyone can do the exact same.

After it was all over, she acted like it was nothing really significant, and that she never really thought it was forever... I know if that same girl 5 months prior saw her say that, she wouldn't have been able to believe it.

I owe myself an apology for wanting someone back who is honestly dead and gone as far as I can tell.

So, that's one year... one year that is completely etched into my memory: 8 & 1/2 months of the strongest bond I had ever experienced first-hand, and 3 & 1/2 months of being stuck in Purgatory over it.

Here's to one year.

Current mood:  angry
Category: News and Politics

As you read the headline, you may wonder how these 3 topics go together (other than the fact that Liberals have stupid ideas about all of them), but I found something in a newspaper a couple of days ago that pissed me off:

Last week, Pro-Life activists teamed up with disgruntled African Americans and fiscal conservatives in a protest on Capitol Hill over Federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider in the country. The protest was spurred when the bitches at PPFA received a donation from a racist student at UCLA, asking for his gift to be specifically earmarked to abort a black baby.

This obviously attracted ire from most African Americans, and more followed upon the stat recorded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that most abortion clinics are located in minority neighborhoods (they have also determined that abortion results in more deaths among African Americans than AIDS, Violent Crimes, malignant diseases and car accidents combined). Among the protesters was Alveda King, neice of MLK, who regretfully admits to having two abortions when she was younger. Her accusations were that PPFA lied to her, "They told me my baby was just a blob of tissue." Hundreds of African Americans are now making claims that PPFA is specifically targeting black communities, and should not be federally funded.

Now, I will give my personal opinion. I don't care what the fuck your position is on baby-killing, these fuckers get $300 million in tax dollars per year. Let that sink in for a second... Three Hundred Million, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! I'm paying for this with the money I earn by working?! My tax dollars go to a service that should rightfully be illegal?!

Let's take some affirmative action on this (pun intended for my 2 or 3 intellectual friends reading this). Funding for this crap needs to be barred, immediately. We're in a defecit by trillions of dollars, and you wonder why?! We'd be about $10 billion less in this defecit if we weren't paying for Special intrest groups like Planned Parenthood, NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League), the ACLU, and even conservative Institutes for Legislative Action.

When I'm older, I plan on joining the National Right to life Committee and a few other conservative ILAs such as the National Rifle Association and National Taxpayers Union. These groups receive more than enough in donations and fundraisers to keep themselves balanced, and they do not need tax dollars. This, is fucking Pork Barrel spending. I hear Liberal bastards talking about how we're bankrupt because of the war and NASA, while they wanna give earmarks to the radicals in the ACLU and NARAL.

Now, I'm sure I've got a few narrow-minded, chain-smoking feminists who are reading this and are going to call me "anti-choice" or "sexist" or "against woman's health". I've heard these deadbeats before. They are so self-absorbed with themselves and their own sex, that they consider the entire anti-Roe crowd to be anti-woman. This is the height of shallow liberalism. Do you honestly believe that your right to irresponsibility is fundamental, and your living child's right to life is not?

Don't tell me it's just a blob of tissue. The fetus's brainwaves can be traced by a gynocologist 6 weeks into pregnancy, and scientific data is showing the brain beginning formation in the 2nd week... you know, before you even know you're pregnant. Don't tell me it's not murder, especially while the majority of you are also bitching about how guns kill people, and that war is immoral, or that capital punishment is unjust? Oh, I get it, serial killers and terrorists have a fundamental right to life, but fetuses don't matter... right? ...You make me sick!

Now, let me take you through a timeline of key events in the Abortion debate:

1960- The FDA approves the use of contraceptives (nothing wrong with that at all, but what happens subsequently goes too far).

Roe v. Wade (1973)- 7 Supreme Court Justices pervert the Constitution and legalize abortion in all 50 states during the first 24 weeks of pregnancy (first 2 trimesters).

Hyde Amendement (1976)- Illinois Representative Henry Hyde proposed a bill barring Federal Funding for abortions. It was approved (but obviously they are still funding those baby-killing bastards in PPFA).

Siljander Amendment (1984)- Michigan Rep. Mark Siljander proposed an unfortunately failed Amendment that would define a "person" as living from conception (John McCain voted in favor of it).

Bork (1987)- As Pro-Roe Justice Lewis Powell announces his retirement, President Reagan nominated Robert Bork to the Supreme Court. Because the Court was dead split on Roe without Powell, and with the brilliant Bork on the Court, it would have been overturned, and because of the abortion issue (the looney left can make up whatever excuse they want, they only opposed Bork because he thought Roe was wrong), he was voted down by 6 Republicans (or at least they have an R next to their name, they might as well be Liberals) and all but 2 Democrats. Now, I know that the requirement of a Justice is to interpret the Constitution as written, not about your belief ..ion, but I guess some people don't seem to get that...

Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992)- PPFA accused then Pennsylvania Governor Robert Casey of undermining Roe v. Wade. The Court did not overturn Roe (although it should have), but allowed states to make basic restrictions.

Measures to Ban Partial-Birth Abortion (1995)- Congress passed [by a wide margin] a Ban on Partial-Birth, which is done in the third trimester, requiring inducing labor (it's virtually Infanticide). Bill Clinton vetoed all measures. Hmm, that doesn't suprise me at all... we all know how much Clinton hates sex that has consequences! (google Monica or Gennifer Flowers)

Stenberg v. Carhart (2000)- The Court fucks up again! They require states to make an exception for the woman's health in case of a ban on Partial-Birth (psh, like it really matters, labor has to be induced anyway).  Good Lord, why don't these idiot Justices get removed from the bench?! It is clear that they do not rule based upon the Constitution. They are making personally acceptable decisions! That's not what The Supreme Court does, you stupid Liberal Activists!!!

Born Alive Infants Protection Act (2002)- Passed unanimously in the Senate (even with Barbara Boxer and Ted Kennedy on board) and passed in the House with only 15 Reps in dissent, outlawing Infanticide. In the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama opposed this Act... enough said.

Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act (2003)- Congress, yet again, ratifies a ban on Partial-Birth. This time, Bush signs it into law, and the Court upholds its Constitutionality in a 5-4 decision in 2007, overturning Stenberg.

Bush puts Samuel Alito on the Court (2006)- As Justice O'Connor retires, but proposes the nomination of John Roberts on the Supreme Court. However, Roberts instead inherits the Chief Seat upon the death of the Great William Rehnquist. Instead, Bush nominates Samuel Alito after Roberts gets lucky anda bunch of Liberals threaten to Bork Harriet Miers. He is opposed (much like Mr. Bork) by all but 4 Democrats and 1 RINO (Lincoln Chafee... I want that bastard's head!). Thankfully, Alito is now on the court. I think it's sad though that Senators consider a Justce's position on Roe before electing them, that's not everything the court is about...

Recognize this: A child's right to life is more important than a woman's right to irresponsibility.

If I havn't been able to convince you that this entire mess is an injustice (you are a stupid, hard-headed liberal), you can at least agree with me that these racists don't deserve Federal funding of any kind. Do America a favor and send an email to your congressman about the pork barrel, and tell them to demand that Congress stops wasting our tax money on baby-killing, and we may hope to get out of this crappy recession. Vote Republican so that we can hope to defund these groups and let their doners to the dirty work.

This will be my first Political Blog for many to come. You will notice my leanings pretty quickly.

Today, June 26th 2008, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on DC v. Heller, in favor of lifting the ban on handguns in the Nation's Capital. This decision will undoubtedly attract ire from soccer moms, hippies, CNN and virtually any other hardcore Leftwing Socialists out there who obviously don't know a damn thing about Criminal Statistics.

In the past, I have been incredibly critical of the Supreme Court on their rulings. They have perverted the Constitution and have made the wrong decisions on issues such as Abortion, Capital Punishment and Guantanamo Bay. This time, however, they have made the right call on a case for the first time since Gonzales v. Carhart (which upheld the ban on Partial-Birth Abortion). Handguns, as of today, are legal in DC, and the court is finally recognizing the fact that guns protect more innocent people than they kill.

By now, this will tell you how I feel about Gun Control. With the exception of closing the Gun Show Loophole, I am opposed to ANY Federal Restrictions on Firearms. The 2nd Amendment mandates the right to bear arms, and any further restrictions on guns should be left to the states. I'll give you a good look at a few Federal Gun Control Bills that shoudl be repealed.

National Firearms Act (1934)- FDR demands an excise tax and resgistration on all Title II weapons.

Gun Control Act of 1968- This placed restrictions on gun purchases that are understandable, but in my opinion, should not be Federal.

Brady Act (1993)- Requires a 5-day waiting period on handgun purchases. (Once again, understandable, but still should nto be Federal).

Assault Weapons Ban (1994)- Banned "Assault Weapons" and Semi-Automatic Firearms for 10 years.

Upon the sunset, Massachusettes made a defunct statewide ban on "Assault Weapons".

In 2004, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) attempted a 10-year extension of the ban. It was shot down. HA!

It was shot down due to the fact that every state that has permmitted concealed posession of firearms experienced a drop in crime. The reason is simple: Gun Control gives criminals the upper hand! Unfortunately, the media fails to recognize these facts, because it's all about the story to them. Don't believe me? We've heard the gun violence stories on the news. I am ashamed of the way that Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinkley, The Columbine Kids and Seung-Hui Cho (responsible for the Vtech massacre) have created tragedies. In the light of these tragedies, I have heard revolting statements from the media. They do not blame the irresponsible actions of these psychopaths, and in the case of the Columbine kids, the parents are not blamed for not regulating their kids, but the firearms are blamed. These incidents are all terrible happenings and they are tragic. However, you cannot deny that states that have enacted lisenced concealed carry have lower crime rates than there were with a ban on concealed weapons.

Well, here we are. The Supreme Court is shooting down unconstitutional gun restrictions in DC. This is, simply put, thanks to President Bush. I am not a huge fan of the President, but I am very satisfied with his Judicial Appointments of John Roberts and Samuel Alito. Without them on the court, the few law abiding citizens of DC would still be paranoid about getting violated by dangerous criminals.

YEAs- Chief Justice John Roberts, Antonin Scalia (authored the Majority Opinion), Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito.

NAYs- John Paul Stevens (authored a Dissent), David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg (authored a dissent), Stephen Breyer.

So, in conclusion, Gun Owners can thank moderate Justice Kennedy for giving us his support, Bush for appointing Alito and Roberts, and no thanks to the 4 assholes who tried to stop us. I am very happy that we no longer have a Liberal Court as we did in the pre-Roberts days. During what should be McCain's term coming up in the office, John Paul Stevens is bound to retire. Then, we can start looking at a Conservative Court and hopefully strike down Roe, but that is a topic yet to come. Handguns are now legal in Washington.

Look out Massachusettes, we're comin for you next!!!

This letter is obviously about Shelby. Whether or not she reads it is irrelevant in my beautiful green eyes; this is something I simply want told. The lesson is this: While living today is of very much importance, you need to remember where you came from. Trying to destroy your past will destroy your future. This may seem obvious to many of you, but I have been suprised by those closest to me before. This story is an example:

Hello Shelby,

I'm glad to see that you're moving on smoothly... hahaha, just kidding, no you're not! Defend yourself as you wish, but you've made it quite obvious that you're not over me. Am I over you entirely? Well, if I said yes, I'd be lying, but I know I'm damn closer than you are.

Now, I know how this most recent problem started: You read my last blog about how I'd be spending my summer. I opened up talking about how I was disappointed by you, and that the unfortunate events that happened were not my fault.

My statement was accurate, and did not even insult you, but that didn't stop you from retaliating. By some coincedence (insert sarcasm), you typed your own blog about your summer just hours later about how you're glad you dumped your "loser of an ex-boyfriend".

Now, that is a deliberate insult. Yet, you wondered why I was pissed at you the next day. Now, of course, whenever I have a problem involving you, I am automatically guilty and an "asshole" in your distorted vision. Of course, to attack me, you told me that you were crushing on another guy the entire time that we dated.

That is beyond a lie. I could be completely sure of it. The jealousy complex you were reeking of was beyond mine, easily. You FLIPPED OUT when you found out that I talked on the phone with April one night, and never really forgave me for it (as if it was something reprehensable in the first place). Even after we broke up, the minute you found out I was looking to start a relationship with April, you accused me of crushing on her the entire time that you and I dated. It was ridiculous, you got jealous of her after we were already done!

Now, you will say different, but it's just that feeble mentality of yours that says "What I want right now is what I always wanted and always will want". Oh, and if you ever change your mind, you were faking it the whole time in the past... right? That's called lying to yourself, and it's something that mentally inflexible cowards do. But hey, how to blame you? You block out those memories because you know it was the best time of your life, and the pain of knowing that it's gone isn't acceptable, so the only other solution for you is to pretend it never happened.

Our time was great, but now I will detail you of it's demise.

Your stubbornness in arguments would clash with me, and whenever I said something that was downright wrong, I was never forgiven. I forgave you for every "you're an asshole", every "I hate you" and every "Fine, maybe we should just break up". Overexposure to that type of drama eventually reduced me to tears... frequently. Keep in mind the times I cried were only when I thought our relationship was being jeopardized. I had you in tears over silly shit, over things that were not cold and caloused. I never once told you I hated you, and never suggested ending things.

I never needed to change... you simply turned bitter, and you expected me to adapt to your selfish desires. The relationship turned into a one-way street.

Because the Shelby that I once knew... died. From her ashes rose a cold, irreverant girl who always had to have her cake and eat it too, settling for nothing less. You became an angry ice queen who reduced me to a little boy. I settled for being wrong just because I thought you were more important.

I'm the one who deserved better. A friend of both of us (probably closer to you) told me that it was I who got the raw end of the deal.

Think about it, I took a break when you asked to, and I waited a week just like you asked. That hurt me tremendously, and you were selfish enough to expect me to not even be fucking bothered by it! You should have been fucking GRATEFUL that I was willing to take a break in the first place! Think about it, I waited a fucking week because you "needed some space" (ironic, you were always extremely attached yourself) only to get dumped altogether 3 days later. Here's some honesty: I shouldn't have waited for you.

I should have left as soon as I found out just how conditional your love was for me... that isn't something I should ever have needed to worry about from the girl who told me a countless amount of times that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me.

Every friend of mine has told me that the way you've talked to me was ridiculous, and that I should have left you a long time ago.

I will find someone better too. Someone sweeter, someone more fitting to me, someone who can keep a cool head when they get mad, someone prettier, simply someone nicer. As for me, the best is yet to come.

You might notice your flaws someday (but I never know with you. You're so in love with being right that if you slaughtered you're entire family, you'd still consider it legitimate.) However, I have faith that you will notice a trend when you say deliberate insults to any future boyfriend of yours that are succeeded by walking out on you. You still have a lot of growing up to do.

Hate me all you want. As for me, I still can't bring myself to hate you (as I don't hate anyone). No matter how cold you are now, there were times that I will always remember with you, and those memories will be revered. Not with a desire to relive them, but with a desire to remember the good times in life, and a certain amount of respect for the one who made it possible.

You can think lowly of me, lowly of April, lowly of anyone I'm close to, but you still shouldn't think lowly of those you don't even know: April, for instance. I don't know if she and I will ever get together, but I'd be more than happy to if she does. When with her (or anyone else whom I may otherwise come close to), I will not blame any damages you caused me on another. I will learn from my mistakes, but neither will I let another suffer over you letting me suffer.

Hate will ultimately destroy you, as well as regrets and denial. Do yourself a favor, and abandon them. You will be happier later on.

Now I'll stop asking for reasons why

Because now... it's time to say goodbye...

I still wish you the best.

Have a nice life.

Wow, I havn't written in the longest time. I suppose it's time for an update, since everything's different from the time around my birthday in October.

Well, summer had seemed all set up until May 8th when Shelby and I broke up. I was counting on spending the majority of my free time with her, but I suppose that's what I get for counting on her, disappointment. I was completely devastated for about a week, but I decided I'm not wasting away to nothingness over something that I realized wasn't even my fault. I realized that when I really got down to it. Isolationism is a recipe for decay; I realized that the last 2 clusterfuck summers I spent. That will not happen again. I won't let it.

Well, I was looking to renew things with someone this summer, but those plans fell through as quickly and as suprisingly as they formed. I'm just glad I didn't count my eggs before they hatched. It would be fun, but if it doesn't happen then oh well.

For starters, I will have about 30-40 hours a week spent working at Oakwood Pool. That means money! That also means occupation, something else that's good for you. That will do a good job of keeping me busy.

I will be keeping myself social as well this summer. Where I'll be, I'm not entirely sure yet, but I will be having fun what ever I'm doing. I'm open to any kind of plans and with anyone, and don't really care too much what I'm doing. I do know that I will spend some time drinking and playing pool. That much is a given.

I also suppose I wouldn't mind having a new girlfriend. As far as attachment goes, however, I'll take my time. I won't be afraid to love any girl, but when things go bad I won't be afraid to move on either. I'll just watch out for how serious I get and I'll be fine.

Well, basically anyone who wants to make plans and hang out is more than welcome to. I know whatever I'm doing I'll keep myself and those with me entertained. This summer will be a wasted one, but in a good way

I can't believe it went by so fast... I never thought I'd say that about Homecoming. In years past, it was not too great. Freshman year... that was just a waste of $15. Last year was okay, but could've been much better. But this year... It was Awesome!!!!!

Well, the evening started when Shelby came over. Our families took pictures of us, then we left for dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise where we met up with a bunch of Shelby's friends.

Dinner was okay... but I put too much ketchup on my burger and made a huge mess...

Then, we went to the dance... I don't have much to say about it, other than it was great from start to finish. It was one of the best nights of my life!

The only thing that coulda been better would be if I didn't have this damn cough that's been bothering me. Other than that, the only thing that could possibly be better is that Shelby and I are still together by next Homecoming.

I still can't get over how great everything's going in this relationship. I've got everything I could ask for, and I hope she feels that way too, and it's so good to finally have a girlfriend who's open with me and lets me know how she feels, and I know that this relationship isn't one-sided. These last 2 months with her have just been wonderful.

I Love you Shelby
