Neither, I just finished watching the new Engine Down DVD, which was phenomenal, and you should definitely go buy that or throw your money out of the window of your car or throw your money at a car if you ride a bike. Anywho, We have been pretty hard at work writing new music. We are working on some of the most labor intensive stuff we have ever written and we're really excited about it. Yeah, we're a bit away from completing a new record but it does feel fresh and exciting to be in that creative zone again. We are still trying to play as many shows as possible also, PA and surrounding states, and you might get to hear some new stizuff too so get a hold of us. We also just got a string sponsorship through GHS too so we are going to be shredding extra hard over thanksgiving. Have a good tofurky day and don't be a stranger.

The soil of West Virginia hates the existence of A Voice Like Rhetoric. We/ I (Ross) started driving at 1am on August 21st to head to NC for Taking Back the Streets Fest. 5 hours later as I had just switched over the captains chair to Craig our Water pump and gaskets explode sending our van into "I look like a 1800's locomotive with all the smoke coming out of my hood" mode. flash forward 1 hour. Our van is being towed away by West Virginia's finest tow truck driver and our trailer is being held up by an extra box of Substream Music Press magazines we had with us. There was only room for two in the towmobile so J-Bird and C-Biscuit went for a ride. Teej, Erik, and I laid down on the side of road to catch some Z's beside Route 19. We had many fun run in's with the locals of WV while waiting for J-Bird and C-Biscuit to return. We saw a four wheeling family who we thought were going to rob us, jk. A police officer woke Erik and I up from sleep because they had received a 911 call that there were bodies laying on the side of the road. And our very good buddy David who was a Verizon employee/ local pastor talked to us a while with much compassion. He later returned unannounced with Gatorade and peanuts for the three of us. Thanks again to him. We also made West Virginia's oddest shirtless drum circle. We lost our spot on the fest and played much later but the people we met were unforgettable. Thanks to all who made everything possible for us. Even the mechanic who practically robbed us at almost a $500 bill. Oh yeah, we also locked our keys in the van and Erik and I fished them out through a cracked window with a coat hanger we borrowed from Mountaineer Mart. So once again. If your Rich uncle wants to help us out with about $800 we have ourselves in debt we would give him a bitchin' back rub and he could hang out with us at practice.

Keep being our friend, you make debt and gas prices worth it.

Take care,
Ross

Lets make this like a newspaper and just give the important info.

1. Thanks to the people who made it out to our last couple of shows, they were amazing but only that because of you.

2. We have finally started writing new material. it's really exciting and makes playing in a band fun again.

3. Teej is fully in the band again and we are really happy to have him back.

4. He also gives really great back rubs.

5. Batman was amazing.

6. Stepbrother was funny but a little dissapointing.

7. Our van and trailer got towed in Pittsburgh plus we got a ticket on top and we are in debt almost $400. If you or any one you know feel financially moved to donate a dollar or two we would appreciate it. Our paypal donation button is on our page right above our top friends.

8. Merch is almost non-existent because we have no money to reprint anything right now.

9. Also, we have no money to re-press our cd again. If you are friends with big-oil or a bad ass record label that wants to repress it let us know.

WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

I want to thank everyone who came out to the show with Mae the other night, it was really nice to see that many people out that early, and especially all of our friends that we haven’t seen in forever, so thank you.

secondly,

We are going to premiere our music video for "Please Don’t Us a Mindless Philosophy" at MIDNIGHT on Friday March 28th. You will be able to view the video from our Absolutepunk.net profile at http://www.absolutepunk.net/avoicelikerhetoric , so for everyone that was in video, hopefully you will watch it enough times to see yourself!

So go sign up at Absolutepunk.net and leave us some love on our newly added profile, it’s looking lonely right now, needs some character, right?

We drove about 9 hours home last night to finish up another 20 day tour. We have pretty much been on tour full time since The end of September and it has been a blast. We played some really really amazing shows and can't thank those of you enough who either booked us, played with us, fed us, gave us a roof to sleep under, took time to talk to us, came out to a show, or any other kind gesture. We have pictures somewhere and will post them soon.

After over a year of being dedicated to AVLR and changing his home to PA, Nick is leaving the band. We played our last show with our good friend in Somorset, KY last night and we couldn't have asked for a better farewell for him. It was one of the most amazing shows we have ever had the chance to be apart of and it held a definite sentimental value for me personally. We are in the process of finding a new drummer. If you're interested get a hold of us. We know we will find the right person, we have switched members now countless times now and plan to continue writing, touring, and other ing's in the future.

Both Erik and I are selling our amps also to get something a little smaller in size. We both hate to part with them but need to save some room in the trailer. We have both of these for sale right now.

A Marshall - JCM 2000 (Triple Super Lead) 60 watt head
A Marshall - 1960 4x12 speaker cab

A Crate - Vintage Club (custom built) 60 watt head (comes with ATA Road case)
Specs on head - http://www.crateamps.com/pdf/manuals/VC611262106212.pdf
A Fender - Showman 4x12 speaker cab
Specs on cab - http://www.fender.com/support/manuals/pdfs/manuals_elec/guitarpdf/Showman_412S_Speaker_Cab.pdf

If interested in either get a hold of us. We are looking to sell both as amp and cab sets.

In the next week or so we will start underway with writing for our new record. We very excited and have a lot of ideas for new songs. Keep a look out for some samples in the months to come.

Take care and hope you are well,
Ross
