SWIFT: REMEMBER THIS NAME

The man sitting before me is nothing short of an enigma. If I was the person to judge someone solely on appearances, I'd take one look at his unshaven face, his baggy jeans, sneakers, the hint of a black eye he wears without even an iota of an explanation, and of course the requisite White-T, and I'd label this man a hustla. But I would only be half right.

Born Christopher Swift, the second oldest of seven kids, and one of only two boys, and that right there tells you a lot. He's charming. So much so that before we even pick a seat in the somewhat crowded coffee shop to do this interview, he proclaims two things: 1. He's got a crush on me and 2. He's more than ready to answer any questions that delve into his personal and romantic life (which he describes as "A triangle, with a circle, some dark spots and love.") And all the while he wears a smile so genuine, you're instantly at ease. But even his self-assured demeanor doesn't do his story justice.

Swift is a man of many words. Oftentimes, really big words. He speaks to you with such intelligence, understanding and confidence that you find yourself wondering why he isn't in a three-piece suit, walking the corridors of Wall Street. Or better yet, what is behind this obvious sense of desperation and urgency he wears so prominently on his face?
