We'll have new designs up so we can stimulate the stimulus, I'm not sure what that means...but I went there...Oh, and be sure to check out "The Tropic Rot" from Poison The Well....it was released today, and its fucking amazing...Anyway, thank you for your patience as we ready this record, we WILL have some new tunes for you shortly. Hey folks, just checking in with you guys. Its been a couple weeks since we've posted any updates, we like to keep those of you who care, in the know...ya know?....Moving on, so we've received inquires about the musical style in which we were headed that coincided with the completion of our album. We've always been ones to try and push ourselves and really delve deep into the cerebral portion of our brains, and convey what it is we feel/know. We've had several line up changes over the years, but the music has pretty much still been amorphous as ever. The core of the group has pretty much been Myself, Wes, and Bobby on drums. (With the exception of a few tracks, and even more recent tracks assisted by Mike Gianelli and Jeff Faria and their writing styles) But musically this album is coming from all sorts of directions, from different points in our lives, from several perspectives. So that becomes evident in the writing. Like we've mentioned before, this album is more of a soundtrack. Its taken about 4 years to make this record, and it definitely showcases what we do. We'll be posting tracks soon enough so you can indulge and judge for yourself.

-------------------------------

[Just for more clarification, all songs were written by Jeremy and I with myself on both vocals and guitar duties. So we will ALWAYS retain our sound, which in itself, its constantly evolving. When we had both Mike Gianelli (guitar) and Jeff Faria (drums) in the band, they joined in a transitional period when all the material was already written. The only song involving any of them was our song "Mare" (formerly "Spring Break" on recent tours and video footage) in which all guitars were written by both Mike Gianelli and myself (Wes). Even Bobby returning to us in time for this record does not effect us, being he was on the tracks you hear on the myspace. We have forged on recently as the original lineup of 3, which made the writing and recording process incredibly smooth. But you need not worry. Rest your heads, little ones. All is well... Recording news and tour updates to be announced shortly...]

- W

*Also, we are in need of touring guitar player to hit the road with us this summer. If seriously interested, requirements include:

- Pro Gear

- Touring experience a definete plus

- Means to travel to us for rehearsal

- Pro attitude, good sense of humor

Thats pretty much it, so for SERIOUS inquiries, please contact us here or at Wesfareas@hotmail.com with a video of you playing (preferably one of our songs). Thank you all.

Hello fellow e-listeners. Just giving you guys an update on the things to come here shortly. Well, still writing the album. So far, its coming along steadily. Its always the writing process that is a pain in the ass, we have too many ideas, and they always flee us. Whatever. The record is gonna be just what you think it is; confusing, unpredictable, loud, obnoxious, pretty. Anywhoo, so you guys have seen we have a few dates posted, so anyone in CA, come on out because we haven't played a show in almost 6 months....ya...so we're gonna come back to fucking beat your god damn face in. True dat. Either that or Wes will choke you and sweat all over you, dripping' off a little bit of sexy to all y'all....forgive the slang, its been a weird day. Oh ya, for those asking about music and merch, how to obtain it and what not.....hold tight, that will be announced really shortly. Just look for the obnoxious amount of bulletins we post. It'll be golden. We're gonna post some videos up soon of some new material, because if you're reading this, a part of you gives a shit. So there you go. So that's that, until then. Remember; Tyler Perry is a terrorist.

Current mood:  content

So, yes, we have signed to Lifeforce Records and we couldn't be happier. As a band, we have always maintained honesty with our integrity, and after much debate, we feel this is the best decision for this band. They have showed nothing but support and respect behind their faith in us, so we feel we will have a fruitful relationship with them in the coming future.

We wanted to make sure we did it for all the right reasons, being as it seems to be an over-saturated time of music turning this business into another "gold rush" if you will. The recent years have showed that sometimes, a label isnt needed to continue your life as a band, but there are people out there that want to prove the majority rule wrong. Lifeforce has shown they are capable of so much and for that, we trust them.

Its been a long time in the making. Especially for those who have stuck by us for years. We were in no rush, because we never wanted to feel we HAD to do anything. We have always done things our way in this band and its taken quite sometime to have anyone understand where we're coming from.

Now that all that has settled, we will continue working on our record entitled "Internet Killed The Audio Star" which should be finished by early next year. Expect a summer release, or around those parts. The records going to be insane and we're surprising ourselves. We have more or less created the soundtrack to the past year or so of this bands trials and tribulations. On and off the stage. Expect something new.

We have tour plans coming up, alot in the works, but things I can talk about. We will be doing some dates early next year with Battlefields and Irepress, then some with the boys in Khann, then some dates with our new friends in Syrens. Dates will be posted as all are rounded off.

Theres alot more in store, but we will unveil the news as its solidified.

I'd like to take a step back and thank every single one of you. Fans of the band, new found friends in bands we've either toured with or played with on tour, anyone who's ever talked to us online or at a show. You've always been cool to us and showed support with your inspiring and gracious words. It's a major reason as to why we've fought so hard for so long.

Anyways, expect good things, thank you so much for everything and we promise to not dissapoint.

Thank you Drew and Lifeforce for believing in us...

Love you all,

Wes.

BIG OL DICKS!!

Tuesday, June 24, 2008

As some of you may have heard, an amazing comedian, philosopher, and poet passed away sunday. We havent been individuals to have heros in life, we believe in gathering influence from those around us collectively. But if we were to signify what source as to who we are today, George Carlin achieved and will continue to maintain that position.

The date June 22nd proved itself to be not the best of dates, having been exactly one year ago from sunday that we experienced the most crippling event of our lives by being involved in our van accident which put us out for about 5-6 months, and now landmarking the passing of the most honest man the world has ever seen.

Most of you saw him as strictly a comic, which he was the most hilarious man alive, but some of you hadn't noticed his state of mind and motives. His proverbial ideals on life and logic. Our appreciation for the comedy aspect was born of our innate inability to accept the truth. People laugh when they relate, and it was easy with someone as brilliant and brave as him. With George Carlin, no one was safe, and it was with him attacking EVERYONE that put us ALL on the same plain. Proving that we're ALL just a predictable, dissapointing species.

We are praising this man so dramitically right now because we single handedly give him credit for who we are personally and artistically. We've come to draw personal opinions ourselves in different periods of our lives, even if they eluded us, but he always managed to reafirm them. He made it alright to do things your way, and with enough integrity and honesty, it will be noticed.

Personally, his ideals changed my way of thinking and how I presented myself to others. He was blunt, crude, direct, and disgustingly intelligient. When he spoke, you listened. All he needed was your attention and he got it. What made this man so funny was the fact he was just so fucking blunt, you couldn't help but laugh for someone who had the biggest balls in the business.

As most of you do not know, George Carlins memory is already embedded in our music. We read "The Secret News" and tell about his proverbs in both "Killer Whales, Man" (During the unrecognizable banter a minute into the song) and "My Sweetheart, The Whore" (During the long, lingering ride break) for starters. Don't expect those to be the last times we share his work with you all. We loved the man very much for the things he's taught us as how he never failed to make us laugh, which has to be our favorite thing to do alongside creating and performing music.

So, we leave you with a few of our favorite, life altering quotes from this man:

"Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday."

"If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?"

"There's no present. There's only the immediate future and the recent past."

"The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

"Always do whatever's next."

"By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth. "

"Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity."

"I have as much authority as the Pope, I just don't have as many people who believe it."

"I think people should be allowed to do anything they want. We haven't tried that for a while. Maybe this time it'll work. "

"I would never want to be a member of a group whose symbol was a guy nailed to two pieces of wood. "

"If we could just find out who's in charge, we could kill him."

"People who say they don't care what people think are usually desperate to have people think they don't care what people think."

"Religion is just mind control."

"he status quo sucks."

"Ignore These Four Words"

A wonderful Message by George Carlin:

"The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more,
but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more
problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and
hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to
life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but
have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer
space but not inner space.

We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air,
but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold
more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less
and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small
character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of
two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one
night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer,
to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the
stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time
when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going
to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to
you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your
side.

Remember to give a warm hug to the one next to you because that is the only
treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember,
to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all
mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep
inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday
that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak
and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind."

Feel free to post your favorite quotes and videos here. Pick up all his specials, CDs, books. Watch his stand-ups, and his debates with political figures, christian conservatives, clergy men, and many more, on CNN, MSNBC, and other respectable forms of information.

We loved him and respect more then anybody who has or will step foot on this planet. There would be no "name" without the this unique, special, and beautiful individual. Its the way of the world: Death to the last honest man.

In closing, I live with this:

The Secret News:

"All people are afraid.
No one knows what they're doing.
Everything is getting worse.
Some people deserve to die.
Your money is worthless.
No one is properly dressed.
At least one of your children will disappoint you.
The system is rigged.
Your house will never be completely clean.
All teachers are incompetent.
There are people who really dislike you.
Nothing is as good as it seems.
Things don't last.
No one is paying attention.
The country is dying.
God doesn't care.
Ssshhh."

Ya, a lot of dates there. Hopefully you guys will be attending one of
them. You may have noticed there are a couple bands in the parenthesis
..ive dates. That's because we're doing this Guest Star on Scooby
Doo status, we're going to be doing selective dates with different
bands, and there will be more to come as we approach this behemoth of a
trek. ***We're still going to need help with some of these days***, we
have a lot of it booked, we posted it on the main page and we will be
posting venues/times/tickets really soon.

In other news, we're in the process of getting new merch, which is going to be pretty choice excellent. Lets see...what else....yes, new music. Some of you came out to the tracy show and had the meanest dance party the central valley had ever seen and got to hear a new song, all 9 minutes of its' glory. We'll
be playing it here and there.

We have an amazing show coming up in June, we're playing with some incredible bands. Like Intronaut and The Ocean, we're huge fans of those bands and couldn't be more excited to share the stage with them. But we're going to be doing something a little different for that show. It'll be a very visual and ambient show, something we really haven't done before live, so for all of you that
come out, you're in for some diabetic-causing eye candy.

Moving on, we have just a couple of shows in the bay area before we leave, so everyone come on out and hang out with us, or kick us in the face...something....We're going up to Oregon in June, we're headlining
one of the days for Arsonfest, should be pretty nifty....(no one says
nifty anymore). Other than that, we're gonna keep on keepin' on. We'll
post some more info about the release of the record as details come to
us.

As many of you know by now, Wes was involved in a car accident
recently in New Mexico, where he rolled a uhaul. He's ok for the most
part, possible broken foot, but a little stirred up beings that it
hasn't even been a year since we got into our accident. With that said,
I will be handling the name page for a couple days until he is back in
comission. He really appreciates everyone sending him thoughtful
comments and such, its pretty amazing. So thank you everyone. More news
as it comes to us, quick question: Why isn't "the hills" canceled
yet...its a fucking abomination. Thanks

Aw yes. Spring is here once again. Time to break out those gym shorts
and faded As I Lay Dying tees. Its going to be one hell of a season
(isn't that the normal sportscasting banter?). As you could have
probably have told right now, we have quite a few shows lined up for the
west coast for the next 2 months. We'll be romping around southern
california,  then washington and several states north of us...(bay area
for those who are not in "the know") So for those who care, check the
page often to see if we're coming to your town to destroy you, and
believe me you good e-people of myspace, we will destroy you. We're
currently finishing writing our record, its a slow process, but a
process none the less. The new material is going to be amazing and will
definetly round out our ecclectic brand of music. We'll be playing new
songs at our shows for the next couple of months to kind of get a feel
for them, maybe change them around a bit. We go into record in May @
Castle Ultimate with our good friend/producer/bad 80's rock solo
virtuoso Aaron Hellam. We've been working with him for years now and he
knows how we work and how to bring out that 'sound'. So keep a fresh
pair of ears because we're going molest your ear drums. We'll be nice
about it to (lie). We're coming out with new merch, so that's pretty
fuckin exciting....I went this whole update without using any sort of
profanity, so I just needed to get it out. Because we're a 'metal' band
and that's being metal, right? Ya, whateva. Good tidings to you wherever
you are. Keep checking the page for new stuff...because that's what you
do.. Thanks.

Also...has anyone beat our flash flash revolution game for dave
mustaine? I can't get very far on that god damn song, ya, I suck.

As some of you may know, 2007 has been a bitch of a year for us. Our trials an tribulations in said year have surpassed ANY of the other bullshit we've ever gone through in previous years... and THAT is hard to do, my friends. Heres 2007 in review:

- 2007 started out with our lineup including Wes Fareas (vocals), Jeremy Fareas (bass), Bobby Gibbs (drums), and Mike Keller (guitar). We embarked on a tour from January to February.

- Upon returning back from tour, we found ourselves highly in debt. On TOP of personal conflict.

- Soon after, long time drummer, Bobby Gibbs, split with the band. Leaving us to fill his hole, with fill in/replacement and good friend Jeff Faria

-Somewhere in there we all ate a good meal and took a healthy shit

- Soon after we returned to the live circuit, good friend and guitarist, Mike Keller, left the group and pursued his now current position in the Metal Blade Records artists group, The Red Chord... We are still very close to Mike and have ALWAYS wished him the best. This was definetly a great oppurtunity for him, so we stressed that he accept the position. We are proud of him and excited for him in his new endeavors (this was an official announcement regarding current lineup situations and more specifically the departure of Mike Keller)

- With half the band gone, we decided to pick ourselves back up and continue on.. Thus, soon after, finding ex-Secretary drummer, Evan Breese... We worked with Evan for quite sometime, playing as a 3 piece until we had acquired the guitarist fitting for the job.

- Soon after, we began working with good friend and ex-From A Second Story Window guitarist Derek Vasconi...

- June 22nd, 2007... On our way to start a west coast tour... Our back left tire blew out, fish tailing across a crowded freeway and eventually flipping on our backs and rolling down a steep hill 7 times.. The accident caused alot of injury, physically and emotionally, and rocked the group in every sense of its foundation...

- When we return home, within the coming months, we find ourselves in MORE in debt due to our medical bills, we lose our house we all lived in together due to un forseen circumstances, we left our rehearsel studio due to personal conflicts with the owner, and obviously, our van was lost and so was our will to do anything for quite sometime..

- In the down time, we broke up for a good few months id say. No formal decision was made, but we understood the stress factor that we were forced in...

- Soon after, good friends and band members Evan Breese and Derek Vasconi exited the group. They left on good terms and we remain friends with them today. We understood the situation, strictly for personal reflection, everyone needed to figure out what the fuck was going on in our lives..

- As months went by, we continued to write the record... In a complete depression. Bandless, homeless, hungry, and broke...

- When things seems weary, we met a new musician and started working with an old friend...

- Which then leads me to my announcement:

name would like to welcome new members Mike Giannelli on guitar and long time friend Jeff Faria on drums.

With this lineup we are confident in the fact we will do great things, as to the fact we have ALOT of plans in store which will require a different announcement all together ;) (soon, my little ones)...

*Note: Even though the only original members are myself and Jeremy, it doesn't mean the sound will change. All songs were/are written by Jeremy and I, so the sound of name will remain the same

- Which then leads us into 2008... Tours, album, alcoholism, and a mutal masturbation sesh somewhere in there...

Thank you to everyone who has supported us for so long, especially this past year. If it hadnt been for you guys, we wouldve never been able to continue. That is cliche, im aware, but its true. Your support just blew us away and we are so grateful we have had the chance to meet you somewhere in our lives :).

Thank you again and see you REAL soon.

Current mood:  complacent

isn't that the worst thing you could say? "I almost did something cool" "I almost did something great". Words hold no water, action is the greatest thing you could do. Talk is cheap. This band has endured so much this whole entire year. We have dealt with more downs and hardships than most bands would or could deal with, and at this point, we're not even a blip on the radar. We have seen it all. We have been through it all, yet something compells us to keep this going. We went on tour this year, met some great people, played to amazing audiences, wrote some great songs, and have done much more this year than we ever have. And im very proud of what we have accomplished thus far. But at the same time, this year, we have lost so many members, we lost so much money, time, and last month, we nearly lost our lives. This band has been out to get us since day one. But my brother and i (wes, the singer) are so fucking stubborn and have enough preserverance to not let this die. We believe in it too much to let it go. Him and I are back at square one again. Name consists of just us again, our other members left. Some of it was due to things we could not control, but also some of it was, and we're not perfect by a long shot, and i wish things could have happend differently, it's really frusterating, to have something you love so dearly, like this band, have inevitable things happen. But I guess none of us can't get frusterating with anything but ourselves. You live and you learn. I love this band way too much to not want to do something great. But it's one thing to want to do something, and it's another to actually be doing it. I wish nothing for the best for anyone that has been involved in this band. Everyone is off doing their own thing, and you'll be hearing about all of that real soon. But until then, Wes and I are going to be help writing a film score, details to follow shortly, and hopefully we'll be back out there real soon, so we can fucking kill you all. And we will...So at this point, I don't want to almost do something, I want to have done it....(that sounded odd...but you get the point) Good things in the works, it'll happen....until then.
