Hey, so it's 2008!!! Things are getting older and life is moving faster than a cat on roller skates. So, of course, we must keep up and this year we're going to make sure we give you treats that'll make you feel young and remember the good times!

First, we're going to remind of what happened at the tail end of last year. First off, we had The New 1920 kick the Meet & Greet series with a bang. They clocked up tours with Lost Prophets and then embarked with other fellow Welsh men, Kids In Glass Houses. Rocksound tour soon followed the single release of 'Torpedo Libido' with Boom In The Diamond Industry, and if this wasn't enough, they were invited to play a show at manchester's infamous In The City, showcasing their toe tapping hits to the best in the music industry.

SamIsaac single, 'Sideways', was the next release in the series. He did ok, we guess. In excess of 20 Radio One plays, aswell as plays on 6music and Radio 2. Playlisted on XFM and Virgin radio. Invited to play The Electric Proms with Edwyn Collins. He did the Radio One Introducing tour. He became the Myspace featured artist for a while, and, he even had time to make a video for the single with the lovely people who made that Skoda advert, you know, the one with the car cake, or cake car. However you want to say it. Anyway, here's the video.

Now, on to 2008!!! The year of the LORD. Possibly the year of the TUBE. How about Tubelord. Debut single "Feed Me A Box OF Words" is released on March 17th, via the Meet & Greet series in collaboration with Irish label, Popular records. Together with the release they will be touring the UK and Ireland, bringing their pop noise to the masses.

If you go to www.bsmrocks.com/friend you can download an exclusive track, which won't even be on the single, it's that exclusive!!!

The launch show for the single will be at The Social, London, on March 17th. For those of you that don't read your calenders, that's St. Patrick's day, so expect some sort of Irish themed gimmick.

Expect a monthly blog from now on. We can count down Xmas 2008 together!!! Trust me, it'll come round quicker than a leprechaun on a Lucky Charms sugar rush.

Current mood:  bouncy
Ok, so this is it. It's finally dropped! The bombshell is here and it's about to go off!

Big Scary Monsters is now bringing you something new, and it's called 'Meet & Greet'. So what's the big idea?!! Well, we've decided to team up with some of our favourite and friendliest labels from around the world to begin 'Meet and Greet', an informal series of 7" singles.

Believing strongly in the 'working together' rather than 'competing against' ethic, BSM wanted to team up with some of the world's finest independent record labels, pooling resources and musical taste to bring you, dear listener, the finest in up and coming music. Each single co-released between BSM and one other record label will be special, and very different to the previous. Some of the releases will feature two tracks from one band, some will be splits between two (or maybe even more) bands, some will be with UK labels, others with labels from around the world, the styles of music will vary, the type of packaging will change, everything is subject to differ. The only thing you can really be sure of is the quality of music enclosed.

So how and when does this all kick off, i hear you say? Well, it's funny you should ask because it's sooner than you think! THENEW1920 are getting things moving with their single, 'Torpedo Libido'. The collaboration will be with Sam Duckworth's (Get Cape Wear cape Fly) label, Mannequin Republic. It's a beast of a single and we couldn't have asked for a better band and friendly label to kick this all off with. The band also begin their crusade this weekend having been asked to support Kids In Glasshouses on their forthcoming tour, be sure to make one of the shows. They also play XFM's 'In The City' in Manchester proving to the UK that they are one of the forerunners for new exciting bands

This will be closely followed by the single with BSM's own sister label, Alcopop. SAM ISAAC this time is bringing the pain (well, friendly pain, anyway)
with his wonderful 'Sideways' single, released on December 10th. He also has an amazing few weeks coming up having been asked to play The Electric Proms alongside Edwyn Collins, an MTV2 appearance, which is beign aired on 13th October at 9pm with the Pigeon Detectives, a perormance at the SWN festival, and finally, a slot at 'In The City' showcase in a weeks time. Keep your peepers peeled, because he's going to be all over you.

We are also extememy happy to announce the debut single from
TUBELORD which will be seeing the light of day in Februauy 2008, this time with our favourite Irish label, Popular Records. These Kingston scamps have been receiving support from all angles in their short careers and we're sure that this single is going to take them even further. We can assure you it will not only look great, but it's going to sound awesome, too.

All three acts will be sharing the same stage at the launch party which will be happening on November 26th at The Enterprise on Chalk farm Road, London. It will feature extremely attractive guest dj's, too!!!

So, lets get involved and we look forward to meeting you

Regards

The Ever Loving, and extending, BSM Family
