Live tonight on WMSE 91.7 FM, 8 - 9pm.  Here's what WMSE has to say...

The Celebrated WorkingmanTuesday, August 19 - The Celebrated Workingman
A fixture in the Milwaukee scene for over a decade, Mark Waldoch has finally found the right mix of talent around him for The Celebrated Workingman. Waldoch, known for his powerful voice that takes many forms (my oh my those howls...), is backed by some of our city's finest musicians playing everything from the standard instruments (drums, bass, guitars) to lap steel, various percussion thingies, and keys.

As well as Partisan, and the always wonderful Brief Candles.

Quinn Scharber @ The Cactus Club, July 19
Tuesday, July 15, 2008

That's right, tune into WMSE 91.7FM here in lovely Milwaukee, WI, to hear Quinn Scharber and the... live in the studio, on Tuesday, July 15, at 8:00 PM

Here's what WMSE has to say... "Tuesday, July 15 - Quinn Scharber and the...
The band with the ever-changing moniker releases their debut album, Being Nice Won't Save Milwaukee, on our city's own Bus Stop Label this week. Featuring current and former members of The Nice Outfit, white wrench conservatory, and New Blind Nationals, among others, Quinn Scharber and the... evoke The Replacements and early REM, but with a tambourine orchestra consisting of audience members at many of their live shows. So pick up a tambourine and get in on the action at Cactus Club for their CD release show on Saturday, July 19th, with Hayward Williams and Tim Schweiger and the Middlemen."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

Brazzaville listening party at Sugar Maple, 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 9th. The band will be in attendance, celebrating the release of their new Bus Stop Label CD "21st Century Girl".

Thursday, July 10th, Brazzaville play Bastille Days from about 7:00 - 8:30pm (after which I'd encourage everyone to head to Burnhearts for music and drinks).

And finally, on Sunday, July 13th, David Brown (of Brazzaville,) will be playing the Cactus Club, with John the Savage opening.

Lovely posters by the always lovely Dwellephant.
