My unfortunate studio preparations consisted of being sick
the week before so he first hours in studio were spent listening to the songs
and re-learning my own riffs before recording them. I came to the studio late
evening on Friday and then things got really hectical on Saturday because we
have to not only finish my songs with 4 guitar layers, but also tape all guitar
solos before 6pm (18:00), before we all were heading off to Valle..s 30th
birthday! He let us stay in his studio for a couple of hours after he had to
head off to his party to finish the solos. With a few well mixed drinks while
recording, things felt like they were going really smooth. We managed to
capture it all and unless reviews state otherwise, then we proved that drinking
and recording works out great!

Studio
Deadline has a very nice atmosphere... And a great sofa! It's also a great
place to drink a beer or seven. One evening and some of the next day, and the
recordig was done. Some songs better planned then others, but my
experience is that you have to create something in the studio,
to get the best result. A little spontaneity. Cheers to Valle
for no.1 hospitality.

"After a ten hour train trip and being finger fucked by customs i finally
arrived in Trollhettan on Sunday night. ..Valle..
picked me up, we got some food and then drove to what was going to be my home
for one week.

On the first day (sunday) we set up the drums and mics, tested the sounds and
all that. The next day Daniel arrived. We played together which made the
recording sound very good. The playing is on a higher level if you can capture
the energy between musicians like that. All three worked as a team and
everything went better than expected.

After finishing all of Daniel's songs in three days (I think), we all went down
to the pub for just a couple of beers, because we needed to be in shape for the
next day of recording when Tchort arrived. That plan failed miserably. Two
beers turned into alot of whisky and vodka drinks. We hooked up with some
pleasant swedish girls and went to home to ..Valle..'s
to continue the party. Drinking, listening to music, drinking some more,
puking, and all around monkey behavior. It was great fun!

The next day, when we were supposed to do Tchort's songs, was mostly spent
being sick.

The recording of the last songs was very different. It was kind of jam based,
not well rehearsed and structured. This way takes longer but sounds very good.

We finished at 3 o'clock at night Friday, got two hours of sleep and went on
the airplane to Bergen for a concert in the legendary venue called Garage. The
show went very well, it was a perfect ending to a fun but hard week of intense
Death Metal music!

I hope you like the record! Cheers!
