SATURDAY SEPT 29th with

HOLLYWOOD ROSES the ULTIMATE GUNS' N' ROSES tribute band!!!!!

These guys dress up to look EXACTLY and sound EXACTLY like GNR!!!

It's especially exciting for us since TIM TANTRUM and MYSELF (EDDIE ELECTRA) have been bumping into the lead singer COLBY VEIL since we were like 17 years old! (Do the math, well, let's just leave it at that! haha)

We go way back, to when we both lived in the Phx area, and Colby is one talented S.O.B! We always called him "Man of a thousand faces" because he can imitate just about ANYONE! It is TRULY amazing! Lot's of PHX peeps are flying out for this show to see this awesome collaboration of a show! P.S. Congrats to Colby and Ericka! (Just herd about it!) WOOO HOOO

We played our first major show in 7 years since getting back together as the old band Psycho Gypsy! We had both Original guitarists JOEY CARTER (also of RIZON) and
ERIK "BD" JOHNSON join us up on stage!

The show was awesome, the club was great and very cool to us, awesome turn out! Every major Magazine did a write up or story on us!!

PSYCHO GYPSY  remain one of Arizona's most prolific and outrageous local bands, a staple in the music scene from 1992 to 2000 . The band opened many shows for national headliners such as POISON/ RATT (1997 @ CRICKET PAVILLION), SLAUGHTER, THE ATOMIC PUNKS, JOAN JETT, LITA FORD, and the GENITORTURES. The band played regularly at THE ELECTRIC BALLROOM , MASON JAR, BOSTON'S, and HOLLYWOOD ALLEY.

 * specifically PSYCHO GYPSY'S single "WANNA BE IN THE SHOW" received generous airplay on Local Radio Station. KUPD.  One time station DJ "DAVE PRATT" featured the band TWICE on his popular morning radio show prompting the band to be played on the station sporadically for a month!

 * Phoenix Station KSLX'S DJ "EVAN "O" was so impressed by the band, that he added PSYCHO GYPSY'S song 'WANNA BE IN THE SHOW" to a regular spot on the  weekly "HOUSE OF HAIR SHOW". Psycho Gypsy was the ONLY Unsigned band to be included!
 
 The band also aired the "notorious" PSYCHO GYPSY SHOW  on COX CABLE from 1997-1999
 
To this day the band  sells many copies of the debut cd and remains alive and is actively traded by "Glam Rock" enthusiasts throughout  the World Wide Web.
 
BAND BIO
 
Psycho Gypsy was a band that formed at the height of the GRUNGE era in Phoenix, AZ. 1992 by Eddie Electra (who later would join Hollywood's infamous glam bands PRETTY BOY FLOYD, and PEPPERMINT CREEPS): on vocals and guitar; and Timmy Tantrum: vocals and bass. The band would undergo a few lineup changes before the most popular lineup which included Erik "BD" Johnson on lead guitar, and Mykel (R.I.P) on drums. PSYCHO GYPSY were proudly Phoenix's ONLY glam rock band. Coming off a long succession of local glam bands in the late '80s, Eddie and Tim thought long and hard about ditching the makeup when they formed the group in 1992. It was a time when grunge bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam had taken over the driver's seat on the radio airwaves and bands such as Motley Crue, Poison, and Guns N' Roses were forced to ride in the back seat.
 
For exactly that reason, Eddie and Tim decided to champion the art of frosty lipstick, glittery scarves, and black eyeliner while performing their style of raunchy and sleazy rock 'n roll. The band was notorious for 'mouthing off' to audience members, and causing some serious bar room brawls! It was very hard to even get a gig. However, it wasn't long before the band "caught on" , and eventually PSYCHO GYPSY had regular "gigs" throughout the Phoenix area. Their rock and roll theatrics and cool tunes landed them opening slots for many major bands of the day, including Poison, Warrant, Cinderella, L.A. Guns, Slaughter, Pretty Boy Floyd (of whom band member Eddie Electra would later Join), Shotgun Messiah, Tyketto, and Bang Tango, as well as Tuff, The Zeros, Atomic Punks, and many other bands.
 
Venues Psycho Gypsy have performed at included Hollywood's Coconut Teaszer GLITTER GLAM NIGHT and The Roxy, playing shows with other popular Hollywood acts like Revl'on Red,Foxy Roxx, Guttersluts, Peppermint Creeps, and Spiders & Snakes.
 
PSYCHO GYPSY'S main home, was a little hole in the wall in Phoenix called THE MASON JAR. It was there that Psycho Gypsy started a bi-monthly event in coordination with the "JAR's CZAR" Franco Gagliano (75 Cents Kamikaze's anyone?) entitled "The Glam Slam" that to the dismay of MANY, turned out to be a huge success! The band would perform with other glam rock bands invited from across the USA , and between sets they would dj and play music videos on a huge video screen from bands that influenced them, such as Kiss, Motley Crue, and Poison. Past shows have included Foxy Roxx, Guttersluts, Trash Brats, Spiders & Snakes, and Peppermint Creeps.
 
Later PSYCHO GYPSY would produce their very own cable access show entitled .but of course. THE PSYCHO GYPSY SHOW! The show was on every Monday nights @ 11 pm in the Phoenix Area and was crudely edited as well as painfully cheesy! However, people tuned in (even if just for the sake of heckling the band)! The show featured live clips of the band, as well as various embarrassing sketches and stunts ala JACKASS! PSYCHO GYPSY called it a day spring of 2000 as the members of the band would drift in different directions. ...However, NEVER SAY NEVER! STAY TUNED! 

Ok, So with the reformation of my previous band "PSYCHO GYPSY" well under way, we have uploaded some videos from the vault, including a rare perfomance of "PSYCHO GYPSY" performing live as the Motley Crue tribute band "Shout At The Devil".

It's been awhile since i've been here huh? I've been really busy straightening up my life and getting things back in check for the new year, . I am doing everything I want to be doing right now and in- this -moment, for the first time in a very long time !

The entire page is going to be redesigned with Brand new songs up for grabs and the newly reformed  "Psycho Gypsy" will be making announcing shows later on this year,  (Over 7 YEARS OVERDUE AS A MATTER OF FACT!)
