R.I.P. Courtney Stewart. And Nick Adenhart. And Henry Pearson.

You probably heard on the news (or will) that Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others were killed in a drunk driving incident Thursday morning. Basically, a drunk driver ran a red light and struck their car, causing it to spin out of control and into a light pole. Click here to read about it.

Courtney and I were on the softball team one year in high school. We were also in a class together last semester as well. She was so full of energy. Really smart too. She was only 20. She's my age. And she's gone now...

This is the second person I know in the last like two years that has been killed in a drunk driving incident. Pauline was killed on November 30, 2007. Kylie's sister in Hong Kong was also killed by a drunk driver.

In an instance their lives are gone. How fleeting life is...

Drunk driving is really bad. Its worse than bad. It's stupid. The guy that hit him didn't intentionally do it... but he did make the choice to drink and drive. And now look what he has done. He's ended the lives of three people. People that he didn't even know.

So the moral of the story is.... DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
That includes buzz drivin!

Current mood:  bored

So... For some reason I don't wana sleep. Even if I have class tomorrow and I was thinking about waking early to catch up on some reading. haha. So, I decided to take a prompt off LiveJournal (btw... MySpace should have prompts too. Haha. Its pretty cool)... Tell us your current favorite: book, movie, CD, video game

Here it goes...

Book: The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. K, so, I don't really read the many books... But I actually finished the three books of the series that have been completed. In this book, the main character, Bella, moves from Pheonix, AZ to a small town, Forks, WA, and there she meets this guy and she is determined to find out this secret that he has. But of course, knowing the secret, she's put in more danger. Next thing you know, vampires are after her. Ok... so I'm VERY bad at describing stuff. So, you might want to just check out the book somewhere. I really liked it.

Movie: The last movie I saw that I really liked was Ratatouille. Oh man did I spell that right?! Nice. Haha. Anyway, yeah. I haven't watched that many movies lately but out of the ones I saw this last couple weeks, that's my favorite. It is pretty hilarious. You guys have seen the commercials. A rat and a guy team up to become this great chef in a famous restaurant in France. Its pretty hilarious.

CD: The Vice Nine EP by Vonnegutt. You can download it yourself for free on their MySpace. If you're into bands like Gym Class Heroes, you'll like 'em. They're kind of hard to narrow down to a particular genre [for me at least]. They are an awesome band if you're into that type of music. I am and I was surprised to find out that they are an unsigned band. Thanks to Michi Allen for introing them to me. Of course.. I have to plug her MySpace, Hip Hop Since 88!

Video Game: I haven't really played any of my video games lately. Sad I know. Spending like $400 on a Wii and it just sits there in the living room. But actually.. I'm really excited that they're coming out with a Rayman Raving Rabbits 2... that's what its called i think. haha. I'm not sure when they're releasing it, but the commercial was hella funny. Haha. If you haven't tried it yet, you should try the first Rayman Raving Rabbits. Its hella fun. You can shoot bunnies with plungers.. or.. make them dance... there's a lot of different little mini games things on there. Its fun. Plus you get to torture rabbits. haha. Not that I condone on that in real life. haha.

Yeah. I suck at giving descriptions and explain things. haha. But, check those out. I hope you like 'em.
