Any of you who've looked at our blog section have probably wondered why we haven't had alot to say for ourselves recently ...... please let me explain.

A lot of bands put themselves out there live, ill prepared and not neccessarily as tight as they could be. That's not how The Jet Black Heights roll so we've been real busy rehearsing and getting our set razor sharp for our potential audience.

A lot our songs have mutated during live sessions, hopefully for the better. Lol !!! Things are sounding great and we're now heavily involved in trying to get our calendar booked up with gigs.

We have played at The Cellars supporting The Red Light Company and Vagabond plus interviews on Express FM playing live sets, so thanks so much to the crew at Express for supporting us !

So apologies for now for the lack of blogs but you'll be hearing a lot more from us very soon.

Take care

Mike

Hello fellow myspacers,

I thought it was about time that we officially let people know why we have been off the radar for the past few months. Those of you close to the band will already be aware of the circumstances so please forgive me for opening raw wounds as it were. On July 29th 2008, Cassie, my step-daughter was killed. I'd like to use a more accurate wording for for what happened to her and the circumstances under which she was killed but legal reasons prevent me from doing so.

Cassie leaves two beautiful boys behind who will tragically never see their mum again. She was their world and they were her's..........truly tragic.

The Jet Black Heights couldn't see a way forward after the event and cancelled their gig at The Rox.

Cassie, however was a fan of the band and I guess it's my personal opinion that she would not have wanted us to call it a day. Hence, we've recently started rehearsing again and have already written a new song.

We'll be out there very shortly again but for now all I'd like to say here and now is God bless you Cassie. You're more powerful than you ever were......you are missed, you are loved, you are never forgotten......we love you xxxxxx

Mike
