After rain delays postponed the start of the game, things looked promising after Megan Penrod recovered the opening kick-off from an onside kick by Amanda Sweeten. However, the Tribe offense failed to capitalize on the recovery. A botched punt snap led to the Wolves starting their initial drive inside the 30 yard line, and resulted in a quick score. Wisconsin added a second touchdown within a few minutes to go ahead 13-0.
The Tribe defense responded by holding the Wolves scoreless the final three quarters, however it was simply too late. Although the Tribe offense came to life after halftime, they couldn't quite get over the early deficit.
Jenny Schmidt connected with Rusty Sowers for a touchdown in the third quarter. After another defensive stop allowed the offense to drive down the field. A third down completion from Schmidt to Mindy White and a 20 yard sweep by Megan Penrod put the team inside the red zone. However, an offensive penalty pushed the team back, and time simply ran out before the team could finish a comeback.

Despite fighting the good fight, the Tribe came up short against the three time National Champion Dallas Diamonds. Dallas scored their first TD in this first quarter after capitalizing on a bad punt snap inside the 25 yard line. Dallas added another TD midway through the second quarter to go up 14-0. KC responded after half with an 86 yard Interception for a Touchdown by Angela Mabrie. Dallas added another 7 point in the third quarter, to make the score 21-7.
The Tribe again rallied back with a full field drive ending with a TD pass from Jenny Schmidt to Rusty Sowers, the PAT was partially blocked, making the game 21-13. Dallas added a final score near the end of the game to make it 28-13.
The Tribe played Dallas far better than any team all year, and made a vast improvement over their Game 1 loss to the Diamonds.
